I personally believe that if a fandom has any kind of strife or problems, 9 times out of 10 there's something in the text itself or creators' actions that in-or-directly caused it.

I really like the idea of a playable Arwing in Smash, but if Peppy or Slippy was visible in the cockpit that would completely ruin it IMO.
OK guys, rate my "if SSBU's DLC was the debut of third parties" roster.
I don't know why people were so outraged about Chris Evans being cast as Buzz in Lightyear - for all the development and moments of reflection he gets within the first 3 movies, Tim Allen's Buzz is a parody character who's voice is a comic pastiche of space serials. Great for portraying a child's toy, but not so much the semi-serious space story Lightyear wants to tell. Even when nobody knew anything about the film beyond "real life edgy Buzz Lightyear, isn't Tim Allen" I thought that was pretty obvious.
this is a joke of course, fox news has plenty more trash to filter out even if they took a w on this one, and judging from other recent stories on the same topic this seems to be a fluke at best

If there's one good thing about Smash's scope creep, it's that it has kinda exposed how sheltered the Nintendo fandom are to any franchise not frequently released on Nintendo platforms.
Animation cels are just NFTs but good: they're cheaper, they're actual art, they don't cause pollution, they've brought people joy, and above all they are truly irreplicable.
Also you can do this with them.

For all the talk that is given about "seperating art from artist", the fact that Ren & Stimpy was created by an actual deranged lunatic makes the show a lot funnier.

It's funny how, despite starring what may as well be the human embodiment of testoterone, the Wario series (both Land and Ware) probably has the most diverse (in terms of personality and character archetypes, not race) female cast of all major Nintendo series.

Think about it, he was upstaged by his own opening credits, and would never be able to break into animation himself because of a certain other inspector doing his schtick first! That's two reasons for him to hate the animation industry right there! Not to mention that Chip N' Dale's show was itself detective themed so he has reason to hold a grudge against them as well.
A McDonald's fighting game would be awesome - they're the only food brand I feel has a big and varied enough set of characters to hold a whole roster of their own, at least not counting conglomerates.

The Robot Chicken Rocko skit is so funny to me because it's really not much worse than anything they did in Season 1 - like if you shortened Rocko getting run over to 5 seconds and didn't imply the death was permanent it wouldn't be out of place. In general I feel Robot Chicken really struggles to adapt to newer generations where their nostalgia was already edgy and gruesome.
Tak will probably be the most uncomfortable NASB RTC day LMAO.
Honestly, I think there's only two spin-off series (well, spun-off in one case) I think should be counted as seperate if they get reps in Smash: Shin Megami Tensei and Tingle. I also wouldn't mind Luigi's Mansion being seperated since it has a pretty distinct identity from Mario despite a mostly shared recurring cast - but I wouldn't want Luigi to be listed as a Luigi's Mansion character.
