While I do still think Sonic Origins' DLC is goofy, I also think people are treating it like a bigger deal than it actually is. Most of it is for the most trivial things you could imagine - I doubt anyone would be calling for being able to move the camera around on the main menu if Sega didn't include it at all. The "DLC" for Mirror Mode and the hard missions are probably just "fastpasses" so you don't have to unlock them in the main game. The only DLC thing I find questionable is paying extra for 3D Blast/Spinball/Chaotix tracks.
I get that a lot of companies handle DLC horribly, but to compare Sega to EA or something based on this alone is hyperbole.
