I think the base design of Bored Apes is actually quite cute in a twisted way, like a 90s cartoon character, but once you add the laser eyes; beards; tears; Google Noogler caps; half-eaten pizzas; and the fact they're NFTs they lose all of that appeal.

CryptoPunks and Lazy Lions however? Those are... the bad kind of ugly... the Seth MacFarlane type.

I want to go to a parallel universe where transportation vehicles aren't a thing, show people Cars, and watch their faces of mild unease as they watch strangely shaped metalic quadrupeds roll their rubbery, gear-like legs upon a landscape paved by dried bitumen, rendered in state-of-the-art Pixar CGI. I want to see how they react to McQueen going inside Mack without knowing what a truck does.

I don't really like the idea of Paper Mario himself in Mario Kart, I think it'd look kinda off and it'd be better to rep Paper Mario by "canonising" one of it's original characters. (Probably Vivian given she's the most popular party member by a landslide)

If I was rebooting Pac-Man, here's what I'd do: (mostly world and character based)

Namco Arcade shared universe, later Namco titles (like Tales of and Tekken) exist as in-universe fictional franchises.
Worlds would be themed on those games - so instead of a "mansion world", it's a Mappy world; "sky world", Valkyrie world; underground, Dig Dug; space, Galaga; kingdom; King & Balloon, so on.
No elements from Mr. Driller (other than the "Taizo Hori" name) exist in the Dig Dug content.
Pac-Man is older than he was in the PMW games, but not by much - in his 40s about
The Pac-Family would all be playable - Mr., Ms., Jr., Baby, and Professor - plus Jr's innocent sweetheart Yum-Yum
Game would be side-on 3D platformers like PMW1, but stage ends would function like Yoshi's Story where you have to obtain a certain amount of collectables.
The Ghosts aren't villains, just Pac's friendly rivals who would have their own variation on the story, with the 4 main ghosts as well as new versions of Sue and Orson (piloting Toc-Man) being playable in the same way as Pac's family, Yum-Yum and Orson both have the animations of the opposite stories' characters. Those stories would collide in bonus rounds done in a classic Pac-Man style
The villain of the game is Kamuz from Legend of Valkyrie, who has a bit of a Disney renaissance villain-esque portrayal both in threat and flamboyance, but Goro and the Mewkies from Mappy are side comic relief villains.
Pac-Man would have two powered up forms: Super Pac-Man which lets him eat spectral enemies, and his Jekyl-form, Pac-Devil, who lets him eat both spectral and organic enemies.
The Ghost story would likely have a different rule for clearing stages, but I'm not sure what.
Pinky is a boy again - instead of being cute/flirtatious, he is hyperactive to represent his real name of "Speedy"
The ghosts' "naked" forms appear again as a replacement for their eye forms, but are recoloured to yellow so they look less like penith
Jr. and Yum-Yum's equivalent to kissing on the cheek is nibbling on each other's cheeks - yes, I know you think that sounds gross but I find it cute so I'm going with it.
The game would play into a vintage aesthetic, but not OutRun or Memphis like most recent Pac-Man media uses - instead it would use a funky swirly 70s aesthetic and soundtrack (I know Namco arcade games are mostly associated with ragtime music, but I'd really want to use this sort of aesthetic and I feel the music needs to match)

If they were to reboot Nicktoons Unite, I like the idea of the Avatar characters being present throughout all of the plot as idolised, wise-mentor-like figures to the goofier and less-adventure-ready slice-of-life characters, but not being unlocked as playable until near the end when stakes are at their highest. Mostly because the idea of Korra choosing Garfield as her successor is way funnier than the already funny idea of Garfield beating Korra in a fight.

I kinda feel Smash's music and stage rosters have the same imbalance problems as the fighters - in terms of music there is nowhere near enough genre variety for such a big songlist, with the lack of metal songs outside of Xenoblade being the most egregious example, and (although I'm not critcising this specific point) a surprisingly large amount of flamenco songs; while with stages there are beyond too many "grassy level 1 plains" stages, and nowhere near enough villain, sand, technology, or snow themed levels.

I don't really like the idea of a general Disney (platform) fighter - not because of corporate woes or uneasiness about Darth Vader beating up Pooh, but because "Disney" is such a vague starting point all things considered and as such even an Ultimate-sized roster would likely be super safe and predictable while also leaving out some super important characters. I think it'd be best to restrict it somehow - the new Disney Speedstorm is focusing entirely on the animated canon, certain live action IPs, and Pixar which I think is a good way to go, but personally I'd want a Disney fighter to be based on a single IP that isn't star wars or marvel - The Simpsons, The Muppets, The Incredibles, Toy Story, The Lion King, Lilo & Stitch, Futurama, I can easily imagine fighting game rosters based on all these IPs without any need for guest content.

I had a weird dream where at the end of a Nintendo Direct, they showed off gameplay of a new Smash without announcing it exists prior - specifically of "Tingle", who wasn't Tingle but rather Link with Tingle's head. It then cut to the new Smash's menu, which for some reason had an "impact crater" theme, Koizumi walked in as a bad green screen and started reciting this horrifying cult-like prayer to Sakurai (I remember the specific sentence "both revered and feared in all multiverses") without revealing anything about the game, and then it cut to the Jill Dozer reveal which was done in the exact same style as the NASB reveals - down to the music - and her opening montage contained a clip of her stuffing a plush at Build-A-Bear.

I dislike the idea of only using game-related characters if Smash got non-game characters much more than just expanding it to Goku and Shrek with no regulations... that being said, if Sora came with a Wreck-It Ralph spirit that was listed as part of the "Fix-It Felix Jr. series" that would be one of the coolest easter eggs Smash has ever done.

I think the main way a mega-elaborate crossover movie can work is

Don't limit the cameos to the producer and distributor's characters, do a lot of licensing
Focus on original characters
Give cameos reduced prescence, only use as plot-relevant if you're super confident

That's why Lego Movie, Wreck-It Ralph, and Roger Rabbit worked IMO, while Space Jam 2 and Wreck-It Ralph 2 didn't.

I think the next Nintendo console should be designed to be backwards compatible with the Switch just as the 3DS was for the DS(i) since the Switch doesn't have any intrusive gimmicks that'd slow down preservation like the Wii U did - plus the Switch eShop would likely stay online longer than the DSi shop did relative to the 3DS' lifespan given that the entire DSiWare library was basically "forgettable garbage, cherry-picked mingames from earlier releases, and Go! Go! Kokopolo."
