I find the Buddy Bear characters in Garfield & Friends really interesting. Through a modern lens it's really easy to misinterpret them as right-wing commentary about "SJW censorship", but they are absolutely not meant to be political in any form - they're moreso a satire of children's authority figures and how they only create more misery in their futile attempts to prevent conflict. Children needing the right to acknowledge negative emotions and disagree with authority or the crowd is a really good message that you rarely see discussed anywhere, and it's a shame some people have chosen to insert their political biases into it.
