Random Smash moveset idea ramblings:
Dr. Wright (SimCity)
For some reason, it occurred to me that Dr. Wright could actually be a fun and engaging Smash character. Ironically, he's actually the exact opposite of Geno: while Geno is a character created by a third-party company for a first-party franchise, Wright is a first-party character created for a third-party franchise. This is why he's actually been able to consistently appear throughout the Smash series as a trophy in Melee and then as an Assist in all future games. As a fighter, however, I can see him having some mechanics relating to the gameplay of SimCity.
My idea is that Wright will have a move that allows him to spawn buildings of some sort. Perhaps there could be some sort of level system, where they can start as simple town houses and then eventually power up into skyscrapers. But regardless, Wright will attack much like his Assist Trophy by raising buildings from the ground. But, by keeping the buildings around on the stage, he can then use additional moves to trigger disasters, such as earthquakes, floods, or even Bowser Kaiju attacks that turn the buildings into area of effect hitboxes!
Is any of this likely to happen? Probably not. Would there be much of a public outcry towards his inclusion? Absolutely. But I personally think this would be hilarious, a fun representative of one of Nintendo's few third-party collaboration games, and also just a fun SNES representative in general.
