  • tourney in canada comin up next month now with a rediculous 800$ OOC bonus, well worth the drive imo...y'all vs ally this time on his home turf

hope to see you guys there
lol seibrik thinks he is sexy. Well of course us sheik mains look good im I right?
idk if you got my IM from last night, but I realized something very important: I don't do enough mixups at high level play. I literally felt like I got a skill boost when I was playing wifi seriouslies (LOL) with Jband (he's quite good; he doesn't go to a lot of tournies atm but he's beaten a few good people like ADHD offline before) once I came to this realization. The thing is, I try too hard to read high level opponents who should actually be reading ME at the same time, and I don't do enough mixups to catch him off guard. The one thing I know I should really just be reading anyway are habits, I can't read a good opponent the whole match. One of my greater flaws was putting too much focus on one particular way of playing because I just didn't know how to combine reads and mixups and whatnot at the same time, but now I'm beginning to know how. I really feel like I leveled up in skill once I figured all this stuff out lol
I wanna ask you something that I think would be easier to respond here than in real time like on AIM.

Have you ever attempted to read your opponent... but you do it too hard? What I mean is like I'll fight someone who isn't very good and right off the bat I attempt to find a pattern in him, but one moment he'll play predictably and then suddenly he uses these random mixups; he might not even attempting to actually mix up his patterns, he's probably doing this unconsciously, and this throws me off mentally, and I start to either overestimate my opponent's mixup and predictability or I'll underestimate it, and then I'm constantly trying to read the guy but then he just does this random **** which catches me off guard, and eventually I just sub-consciously stop reading and go back to playing intuitively, which I don't wanna do most of the time, if at all. It may sound silly but I really do sometimes wind up in situations like this, and I think my crappy attempts at reading opponents properly is currently my ultimate downfall, and it's something I really need to work on, but it's so much more complicated than it sounds, at least for me. I just don't know how hard I should read. That last statement may sound real dumb but I don't know how else I can describe my current dilemma.
    LOL, that sounds good

its a matchup id like to practice, and i know u play it alot
yea exactly. i havn't figured out the exact numerical data tho to make it seem most fair, but that's essentially what it'll be. I might make 1/2 same earnings and 3/5 same earnings, 6/7/8 same, and 9/10 same, or each individual ammounts.

this gives players who dont travel at all for unknown reasons a chance to gain good points playing just hrnut/co18, or just me/riddle, it would equate the same. im still thinking about it.

i also thought of the rule that you cannot go below 0 points, no negative. so in order to lose points for losing to a random, u must first gain points by beating a PR'd player.
I like that. And then the top 10 people are put in order on the PR. That is actually really smart.

You could do like beating 1 gets 10 points beating 2 gets 9 beating 3 gets 8 etc. Losing to un-named people could be like -2 or some **** lol
What NEW PR system? Like...only tournaments outside of our region/with other regions participating count?
U think I'm eligible for PR even though I only went to two tournaments? (Both ZP)

I mean, I beat HRNut, lost to chaz, beat nick riddle twice, lost to him once, lost to you twice...I think that is it for the PR members. Whatever though if I'm not on it.
I can probably contact him on aim for you and find out. he's in highschool though so I don't know if he'd go to a Sunday tourney and be able to make it back in time.

I generally lose to reflex ( usually go luigi) because I can't beat squirtle too well. I'm fine against the other two but squirtle kills me.
Doubtful, the only people that really travel in GA fro brawl are me and kismet, and I have no idea if Kismet is going. If reflex is going more then likely Kismet is going though.
I can't it's on a Sunday, and I have some exams that monday.

I don't think I'd make it back on time. (8 hour drive) If it was on a saturday I would have gone.

    I'll be at winterfest though.
    Hey, just wondering

Would you like the thread for the Inhale > UpTilt to be locked until you get a video up? It just seems like it's making people pressure/rush you, lol.
Seibrik! At TommyG's fest, can I have mass amounts of DDD practice? I feel like he's the only matchup I can't fight and I want to change that. Think you can help me out?
I'm not suppose to be telling anyone about this yet, buttttttt. . . . .

he erased it from the olimar matchup, though I don't understand his reasoning why, to keep the olimars from seeing it, yet if it was a method that could be countered, which it doesn't seem it, then there should be no worried.
I linked you not because I needed argument support, but because I thought you'd be interested in seeing yet another approach option on Olimar. :)
    A) I don't really know but right now they are showing respect
    B) I've worked too hard for people to tell me I haven't
OMG man so close i shouldn't of been aggressive at the end of first match. i'll do better next time >:3
