I wanna ask you something that I think would be easier to respond here than in real time like on AIM.
Have you ever attempted to read your opponent... but you do it too hard? What I mean is like I'll fight someone who isn't very good and right off the bat I attempt to find a pattern in him, but one moment he'll play predictably and then suddenly he uses these random mixups; he might not even attempting to actually mix up his patterns, he's probably doing this unconsciously, and this throws me off mentally, and I start to either overestimate my opponent's mixup and predictability or I'll underestimate it, and then I'm constantly trying to read the guy but then he just does this random **** which catches me off guard, and eventually I just sub-consciously stop reading and go back to playing intuitively, which I don't wanna do most of the time, if at all. It may sound silly but I really do sometimes wind up in situations like this, and I think my crappy attempts at reading opponents properly is currently my ultimate downfall, and it's something I really need to work on, but it's so much more complicated than it sounds, at least for me. I just don't know how hard I should read. That last statement may sound real dumb but I don't know how else I can describe my current dilemma.
