I actually like that the third party character selection in Smash can be considered a little biased. For example, with Sora in Smash you might technically be able to say there’s three Final Fantasy characters but that’s really cool to me. It gives the roster a little character while not being too out-there and it’s a series that definitely deserves that love even if a roster purely based off of balancing third party characters’ “importance” would likely have some other characters.

As a kid I read a story about Samson from the bible and, inspired by the concept of his strength coming from his hair, wrote a story about a superhero family whose powers come from being bald and the joke was that the kid was embarrassed about it but always had to consistently shave his hair anyways.

I made a post earlier about how the Neo Geo was what created Newgrounds and another fun fact is that the creator of Newgrounds said that Gunstar Heroes was the “game that made me want to make games” which I think we can say is pretty damn important too. Point is, don’t discount some old games as “neat but not that historically significant” cuz that almost never tells the full story.

The Sega crossover games are so weird in hindsight roster-wise becsuse none of them (except sega heroes I guess) feature what Sega is now calling their three main pillars. If a new Sonic & Sega Racing game were made today the roster would 100% be drastically different to anything in the franchise before.

Yesterday I watched a performance of the wizard of oz and after it I was waiting in the hallway for my friends and heard a kid about 5 years old singing ding dong the witch is dead. Even putting margaret thatcher jokes aside, I think it’s just really funny for a kid to gleefully sing about someone being dead.

I later found out that was the sister of the person who played the wicked witch in that performance and that makes it ten times funnier for me now
