When I beat Control I looked up to see what the creepy chant you hear throughout the game is and I realize that if you are given a cursed chant, the first thing you should do is not repeat it over and ove-

I still don't think Xbox is fully dropping out of consoles entirely, I think they will still sell consoles like the Series S because not only was there that awful "Adorably all digital" nonsense but also what is essentially a Gamepass Box definitely has its niche.

Just beat Control

Yeah, it is very good. It seriously reminded me of the best parts of Half-life at points and the performances were all great.

The combat was really fun but some of the encounter design was bad and there was not a lot of enemy variety.

I will forever hold a vendetta against Apple for how their products have affected graphic and product design.

Coming back to comment earlier about me liking Spirits but would rather have trophies


Ultimately my preferred outcome for the next game is having both Spirits and Trophies. It would be the best of both. The descriptions and fun 3D models from trophies and the art, battles and mechanics of spirits.

Been doing the new spirits and I am reminded that I actually really do like the Spirit system in Ultimate

The bounty board is fun and I like seeing all of the weird deep cuts and ways they represent the characters the spirits are trying to be.

I would take back Trophies in a heartbeat though, but I would still keep the battles that spirits brought. Maybe make them more in depth and have it be a true evolution of event matches

One of my big thoughts while playing through Control so far is that The Oldest House would be an amazing Platform Fighter stage.

If Street Fighter 6 is only going to add overpriced avatar costumes between characters

At least let us use avatars in normal battles

Wii U era Nintendo revisionism is wild because all of the good things people mention about this time are either things that aren't directly tied to the Wii U or are shared with the 3DS (Or are just plain wrong)

They did have flashy directs but to announce games like ****ing amiibo festival and Chibi-robo Zip-lash.

I will agree that the Wii U gamepad is more comfortable than the Switch though. It is not only big but doesn't feel like it will break in my hands.

The switch 2 has to come out this year so we can get Mario & Sonic at the 2024 Paris Olympic Games as a major launch title.

Beat Alan Wake

I am very conflicted on my opinion with this game. It has a great aesthetic and nails it's vibes. It looks pretty good and the story is interesting.

But oh boy the gameplay is not great even outside the combat I had jittery movement and also the driving controls.

I will definitely play control though.

I've been playing through the original Alan Wake and my impressions so far are. The game has immaculate vibes and an interesting story, bookended by the worst combat known to survival horror.

While I do like the name Super Switch or Nintendo Switch Advanced for a Switch successor

If they don't want to risk Wii U-syndrome they are 100% just gonna call it the Switch 2.

Real Epic Mickey-heads have actually played the game instead of just lamenting about the concept art

Alright here is me ranking the games I beat* from 2023**

I tend to not beat games I don't like so everything on here I consider good. I wish I played a few more games like Payday 3, Cities Skylines 2, Advanced Wars, Mario RPG, Alan Wake 2, Yohane the Parhelion and many PS5 games.

I am currently playing through Spider-man 2 so make that an honorable mention.

Theatrhythm Final Bar Line: Theatrhythm is one of the best Rhythm games out there and Final Bar line is just straight up the best one.

Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun: Some High Quality and very fun Boom shoot.

The Murder Of Sonic The Hedgehog: The best sonic game since Sonic Generations.

Pizza Tower: The hype was very warranted, just an incredibly fun and funny platformer

Super Mario Bros. Wonder: A Gorgeous evolution of 2D mario and is one of the best.

Metroid Prime Remastered: Turns out Metroid Prime is still one of the best games of all time, Truly I am shocked.

Street Fighter 6: One of the most tightly designed and fun fighting games to play, I know it is controversial but I loved the World Tour mode. The Post launch support has been disappointing to say the least.

Fire Emblem Engage: One of my favorite Fire Emblems, A weird ass but memorable cast and some of the best gameplay in the series, the story is pretty generic.

Xenoblade Chronicles 3: Future Redeemed: I played Xenoblade 3 for the first time this year and absolutely loved it, this might even be better. Everything about it oozes quality and has a great story with great characters.

*I haven't rolled credits on Final Bar Line yet

**Xenoblade 3 Future Redeemed is a full game despite being DLC from a game from 2022 **** you it's my list.

Uh oh my switch is having trouble keeping joycons connected

Nintendo, If you are going to have a switch 2 or whatever, announce it soon so I know whether or not to upgrade my launch year switch to an OLED or not.

I started Spider-man 2 and it is just as fun as the original and Miles Morales

but god damn Peter's face is distracting, this man does not look like a homeowner. He looked older in the flashbacks of him as a teenager.

Beat Astro's Playroom

That was an incredibly cute and short game. Absolutely worth it. I love the museum of Playstation and all the references were really cool to see (sucks that sony will never do anything with 90% of those series)
