Bandit! I can't submit results because I havn't been to any SWF advertised tourneys! =O I shall in the future. I believe there could be a few happening at my uni soon and the turnout is expected to be good.

Kat, Yeah, I forgot when I posted that. I meant to say you can submit a bio now for me to put in that area, and you can include any tourneys that were non-SWF if you want. You had earned the right to be there since you've done so much for the Zeldas.

Grey, you can hold off if you really want. It's not meant to call anyone out or anything; you can submit a bio though if you have some time. Also, I finally do agree with you that Blue looks much better on Zelda.

Yeah, not only are there not many brawl players in my area, but there are also very few tourneys that are less than an hour away. The only guy who puts on tourneys even remotely close to where i live has one every 2 months (which is not frequent enough for my liking, lol). I'm broke and can't pay much for gas money, so if it's not close I simply can't go.

To resolve this problem I'm actually considering hosting my own tournament. Gotta find a place to have it... but assuming I make it both melee and brawl I'm sure I could have a decent turnout. Haha, we'll see how that goes.

I don't know if this is a known thing, but me and teh spamerer recently noticed something really effective for a Zelda + Metaknight team. If Metaknight is doing a tornado, since Din's fire does not break the tornado (except the starting frames) you can hit the enemy with it while they are in the tornado :).
I'm going to be using Zelda more in teams now.

It's ok. If you look at the bio, which I'll post now, the tourneys were really blah as far as seeding.

GM5 = Lost to Shin Ike first round
Lost to Joe first round losers

GM4 = Won against JoWii
Won against Hiza
Lost to Chaotic Nightmare
Won against No Casualties
Lost to Suspect

I never thought about that before. I always figured they were a good enough team working together since both have transcendental priority and MK can really hold his own racking damage. If I get a chance, I will have to try this out.

Grey, I'll put those up as you have written with your placings. We know you'll step up with magical fairy dust the next time around.

Kat... priceless.

Thanks for the results. If you want, you can write a bio of yourself to put ahead of your results. This will be a get to know your smasher type of thing. I wrote out one for myself, and I opened it up for all that have been invited so far.

Me and the other Hawaii smashers participated in SBHMVIII yesterday. There were 48 entrants if I remember correctly.

DM tied with me for 5th I believe.

Sniperworm tied for 7th or 9th, I don't remember. XD

^^^^ thats amazing!! Zelda will finally get some good rep on East coast, especially in teams, thats a good idea w/ Tornado/Dins Fire, my partner is going to be a MK so we'll have to look into that when the chance arises, hopefully we can make it to an Chicago tourney this summer, I'm sure we'll **** w/ Zelda/MK, theres few MKs in IL, but Michigan attends so theres Judge, Bowyer that I have to deal with. Anther & Lain show up so hopefully I will be on my best game the day of the tourney. I'm sure Zelda can take MK, just have to learn the matchup ^_^. Were going to make Zelda as broken as MK someday >_<

I actually was 9th cause LT and Aerow are too good for me. I honestly don't know why I picked Green Hill Zone against Aerow, I was just so sad that he banned "Odo Land".

Edit: Oh, since people are listing what they lost to in the recent tourneys:

SBHM 7 (for me)
Lethal Trilogy (Snake/Fox)
MrEh (Bowser)

SBHM 7 (DarkMusician)
Lethal Trilogy (???/Fox)
War (Snake)

SBHM 8 (for me)
Lethal Trilogy (Random/Metaknight)
Aerow (ROB)

SBHM 8 (DarkMusician)
WAR (Snake)
K0rean (Metaknight)

This is extremely off topic but in regards to what happened MrEh I think we should either
1. Take off some of the more non traditional counterpicks eg Corneria, Green Hill, Yoshi's Island 2, Norfair etc. OR
2. Allow the banning of a combination of either 1 nuetral/1 counterpick or 2 counterpicks.

I'm leaning more towards the second option and will probably ammend that at the end of the school year.

I am submitting this to Ankoku's character ranking for what it's worth.

And I went Red Zelda. So don't be confused. I wanted to go Red this time. :]

I really think that all we need to do is to ban a couple of the counterpick stages.

Things like Corneria and Green Hill are just silly. Corneria has those stupidly small blastlines, and Green Hill is Dedede ****.

I'm fine with stages like Norfair and Rainbow Cruise though. Norfair is pretty fair actually, since it's a good stage for characters with bad recoveries. Plus, the stage hazzards are predictable. As for Rainbow Cruise, it's a good counterpick against anyone with a bad recovery really.

As for weird stages like Distant Planet and Odo Land, it's your call. (although I sure like these stages ^^)

You should make a thread about this on the Hawaii boards.

I'll make a thread about it when the time draws closer. Peoples opinions may change as they come to like certain stages and develop counter pick strategies.

Norfair is the only legal stage of the ones you listed when it comes to my region. We ban all those other stages. I've actually come to love Norfair for a Zelda counterpick :)

The tournament information that was posted here by a few people will be posted tomorrow after I get off work.

sniper, don't feel so bad about Ike. For whatever reason, Ike owns me. Luckily, no one plays him!

Castle Siege is Zelda's best counterpick IMO, she can hide on the lower platform to avoid Falco's lasers, & I know it doesn't count, but I haven't lost to a MK on castle siege only online, so that may say something about this stage.

I go lylat against aerial characters and camp the edge when it's on a slant as it messes up their autocancels and general height spacing ^^ It's a personal counterpick for me though because I really like the music. Music makes such a difference IMO =O

Haha, Bowser is pretty quick. ^^

But yeah, Zelda isn't that slow in the air. Just on ground.

omg I didn't pay attention to bowser but that is very fast... so is donkey kong. The majority of heavies except DDD are surprisingly very fast in the air.

I've been trying to tell people this since like October lol. The "Zelda is fat" argument is really annoying and completely ignorant when you factor in her aerial movement speed and how fast her general moveset is.

It's harder to run in a dress than to float in one. It makes sense.

And Zelda's got a 32 inch waistline so whoever's spewing this "zelda is fat" nonsense needs to get their facts straight. :)
