AzN I would advise trying to stay behind TL more, Din's fire is an amazing projectile in teams and allows a lot of distracting, and trapping. Zelda does badly 1v1 so avoid fighting your own character at one side of the stage as much as possible.

Staying under a platform also helps, and if they try to approach, use Zelda's defensive game. Basically, you wanna try to make them fight TL and you support him. Also, be more careful with your Din's.

TL is ****ing annoying in teams. His projectile spam messes up Din's camp, and if you get caught with him 1v1 at the end..... yeaaaah.

I think my record vs. my crewmate's TL for end-of-doubles 1v1s is like..... 2 wins, ~4 losses. x.x

Great ally for Zelda though, it's pretty easy to legitimately trap people into projectiles or force set-ups because of projectiles.

Nice GreyFox! Haven't seen too many videos of you around. You did pretty well at the end by yourself :o

I have some recent matches as well, my $1 mm against Lain's D3! I tech D3's dthrow in place a lot since I was trying to get the timing down but apparently I didn't bother to hold a direction :<
Don't watch in HQ because it looks weird!

Round 1 - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OKqi8uwa8NI
Round 2 - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LCYwMVpbeQo
Round 3 - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3oDTGSDlxRM
Round 4 - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XvnEbjKVNnw
Round 5 - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MTUTbvYOb1w

Anyway, he was nice enough to play friendlies after and he won most of them afterward, though I didn't feel particularly overwhelmed which was nice.

This is a recent one. The last one was almost a year ago when i played against Espy. Oh, and thanks. Towards the end, all I could think about was not getting grabbed by Ness. I have vids of my Sheik being played for the first time ever. I'll put them up soon.

Well Cake's MK is being trained by Dojo right now so it was gonna be hard.

I just died to stupid things. Ness's Uair/PK Thunder Charge. All stupid reasons.

thanks Mars, but I'm nowhere near as good as Jujux (he predicts so well!) or any of the other top Zeldas though I'm trying my best.

@Kataefi - yeah, apparently Zelda pulls back just enough to avoid ftilt while d3 extends his hurtbox and gets hit with fsmash. I'm sure it has to do with the timing of the moves but it's nice nonetheless.

@AL - I played his ICs in one pools game last november, I was doing very well until I decided to be daring and try and roll behind and dtilt...Lain can turn around and grab soo fast that it's disgusting! I didn't really want to deal with ICs at the smashfest so I requested a D3 v Zelda MM.

also, my lack of nair is probably due to the fear of getting grabbed if spaced incorrectly. I used it more for platform pressure and stuff I think which is where it helps a ton. fair/bair are easier to space and it also makes larger opponents think twice about their own spacing before they approach aerially or grounded. plus with SH nair you're pretty much committed to using a ground move next while bair allows me to retreat or something if necessary.

Land behind them, not in front of them.

Also, sometimes the best thing you can do is not overextend yourself. If a followup isn't feasible, then don't do it. Nothing's wrong with shielding or rolling away.

Yeah it's a little safer on shield than sweet spotted bair.

Well, I'm scared and confused.
LoL.

Good stuff Veggie !
Lain has a ****ing good SDI on the Fsmash, try to punish more his SDI with DA, Dash grab, LK or Nair.
And you used TOO MANY Uair xD (You really love this move or something like this ? xD) ! this is unfortunate because a lot of them could be substitute by a Nair (at low % (like 0:20 or 3:03 at the 1st Round, and depends how he DI the Nair, you can LK after it) or by a LK and Dair (to punish DDD's recovery (like 0:48 at 3rd round)). And use Nair after your Fsmash and Usmash at low % (like 0:13 at 2nd round, 0:16 and 0:40 at 3rd round, ..) when your oppenent has jumped.
Try to DI up the Down throw too :/ and jump after the DI, it's safest than teching imo :x.
Sometimes, you used Naryu's after a SH Bair (like 0:10 at 3rd round) : use the Nair cancel, it's REALLY more safest than naryu's. If he's shielding the Nair, use Dtilt and Dash grab just after it and if the nair touches him, try some Nair cancel combo (SH bair, Turnaround Dtilt (lock), Dash attack, hyphen usmash, Dash grab, ...).
And you need to use more Nair and Dtilt against DDD imo :p !
But good use of LK, Dins and naryu's !
Keep it up Veggie !

And i love the hack texture at 3rd round (and other), can you pass me a link to d/l it please >: ?

you're right about following up with an aerial after he DIs fsmash too, he usually ends up facing Zelda and fair is slow.

yeah, I really didn't know what was best for dthrow, I just assumed teching and rolling would be good to avoid the buuman's trap thingy, I will try DIing up from now on!

lol I have a habit of using uair a lot on people trying to jump on to the stage, but bair and nair oos proved to be so much more helpful.

The moves I used during this whole set ended up being pretty limited now that I look at the videos again, I need to remember to use dtilt after nair because it looks sooo helpful.

sure, it's not uploaded anywhere though. if you PM me your email or something, I can send it through there

The buumans trap only works if you land close to the edge of the stage. If that options the d3 player can get a free charged dsmash out of this. If you are this situation even if you tech the dthrow you will still get hit by the dsmash.

Here's a better explanation of it:

here's a vid of it being done.

Ahah, if you want to avoid the buuman's trap, just DIing up and jump before touching the ground =P ! (And if he's using Dsmash you can Nair cancel or LK him :d )

aha, I didn't know that about DIing up and jumping away for the dthrow. learn something new everyday :o

some people just do it because they want to mess with me.
has it been working? haha

@AL - yeah, actually I don't know why I was teching it. I wasn't really thinking at the time I guess, but hey I got the timing down for the most part :)

It's a shame that he used me as a guinea pig for that trap... now one of my least favorite matches is all over the inter-webz....

You can DI up and jump away, the only problem is that if the DDD is good he won't be going straight for the trap he will wait to see what you do. And now you are above him... and Zelda hates that so much.

I figured you didn't like it. It's old and it shows the Buuman trap thats why I linked him to it.

Unfortunately, I don't know ANYTHING about Sonic ... This character is NEVERused in France lol.. So I can't really say whether the sonic player's moves and Kataefi's reactions are good or not :( ! But this match is still very nice to watch :p ! (I like the way you use Nair, Kataefi :3)

nb : btw, my combo video is coming soon <3 !

Word of warning though, I get semi-***** in the matches, so rip me apart and critique hard when you see them Zelda boards :D
