Actually, the only problem with the game is the fact that it's poorly designed control wise. Either that, or both the controllers I have are broken.
Often times, I'll die because the game misinterprets the direction I'm pressing. For example, time and time again, I've perfectly timed Luigi's firejump attack to knock out my opponent, and instead, the game decided a green missile is better. Or like with jigglypuff I try to use pound to get back to the stage, and instead it says, "no, try sing instead, it'll help you out MUCH more".
Or with Ganondorf/Captain falcon, I do a reverse punch, but instead it decides to just do a regular punch (in terms of the B attack).
... Or when I want to throw an egg at an opponent who's trying to recover from the edge of FD, and instead the game says, "no, I'd rather yoshi do his egg roll out off the edge"
It's gay stuff like this that I hate. The game itself is a pretty balanced one; when the game allows me to use the attacks I chose, it do pretty well. It's when it screws up my recovery (pikachu is the worst when it comes to accepting my recoveries; sheesh), that when the opponents start beating me.
oh... and don't get me started on how the game insists on not letting me pick up items. I could be on one side of the stage, and all my opponents on the other, and if the pokeball is just within arm's reach, the game will make me punch the air instead of letting me pick up the ball. Same with grabs... rarely will the game let me use a grab. Here's how bad it is: I remember a few instances in which I used link's hookshot, and the opponent gets hit by it, and then suddenly I realize that I'm grabbed by the same opponent I *just* hooked. And even when the game is kind enough to let me grab the opponent, when I try to throw someone, it just does the random "punch you in the head a couple of times, and then I'll let you break free" thing instead of letting me actually do the back throw that I was pressing the back button 6 times for....
Seriously, feel free to play a game with me. You'll see how F*ed up my wii/controller/game is. I'm more likely than not convinced that either the controllers are messed up (pretty weird that two controllers would screw up); or that the game's angles are seriously flawed. Just email me your friend code (uber1337h4xx0r gmail.com); and I'll reply to you. thanks.
I hope this didn't seem off topic; I'm just saying there are no cheap moves; the game's only cheap when you aren't able to use your own moves the way you want.
