I will hopefully be going to Dustbowl 4 in November (it's supposed to be a big upstate thing, although upstate new york and Brawl don't really mix). It's in Syracuse and I know a couple of people from Canada are coming! I think Meek and TOJoe were coming but I'm not sure on the status of that because it's MK banned...

and wow I passed 2,000 posts and never noticed. schveeeeeeeet.

I haven't touched Brawl in ages because I didn't bring my Wii to SU with me. The people I usually Brawl with are busy with college work and I am also. To be honest though I've gone months without playing Brawl and I still pick Bowser back up like it's nothing. I don't like taking long breaks but playing other games for a long period of time and then returning to Brawl definitely impacts your decision making.

It's safe to say that at this point I play UMvC3 a lot more than I do Brawl, but whenever I played Brawl last month my decision making and reflexes were on point (I mentioned this before). Marvel is such a high-stakes, reflexive, split-second decision making game that it definitely helped me out a bit. It did hurt me though because it's hard for me to re-grasp the concept that you can afford to actually make mistakes in Smash haha

Yeah, grab releasing now isn't a problem for me because I can actually react fast enough now that I rarely make a mistake. The only time I'd screw up is if I don't know the options on the character or if I just completely fudge the buffering (which I absolutely haaaaaaaaaaaate doing)

Curiosity regarding Bowser's Klaw, since I'm rather new to competitive Boozer, is his Klaw wave-bounce-able? I've tried it a couple times (without B-sticking - not planning on switching, since I don't use any characters that would benefit from that), but had no luck, and was rather disappointed. After being able to wavebounce fairly reliably with Marth, I came to the realization that a wavebounced Klaw would destroy so many character's spacing.
