i find this incredibly ironic, since u explain why javi can't be rated and then proceed to rate him...
its like if a scientist got aids and did well at a tourney, and you arbitrarily decided that since he had only been to one tournament and only had one aids, i will lower him one tier

it's more like we found out irish people can at least get some aids. i meant that while javi might be capable of beating the tier 1 players, because of our limited evidence i'm only comfortable saying he can beat the tier 2/3 players.
it's funny you mention that pheonix of shadow because i moved fly between tiers like 3 times. i actually learned a lot making that list.

Why not just buy a new controller and just break it in?
Hell, buy 6 new controllers and break em in if that's what it takes. Eventually you'll have a good controller again.

Why do people say "only one tourney" for Javi, and then place Taj really high because of Genesis 2 even though he has done subpar at other nationals

Just saying, other then DLC, most people forget about Canadian players. KK not even mentioned on most lists but when he is, its like 8th.
Unknown also got top 10 at Apex, though Im not saying he's top 10, but I dunno about a tier 3 player.
And then for those who went and made huge lists featuring tier lists up to tier 4. Yet left out Weon-X and I.B.
Now I see why people like Leffen get so Salty at these lists...

Weon and ib would be at the tier with a gob of inconsistent people. and i said i couldn't list whose match history i didn't have a knowledge of. that list is just the people i know, and i don't know weon and ib yet. i'll post an updated list later when i look at more tourney history and watch more matches

no, im not, it really doesn't matter by comparison to spacies or any technical character. Controller matters a lot for anything in any smash game at top level, but puff with a bad controller as opposed to Fox with a bad controller for instance, is a HUGE difference. It's not even close. The original reason I changed mains from Fox to Marth and then sheik is because my old good controller broke, and marth's easier to play with a mediocre controller than Fox is. Fox is more all-or-nothing by comparison.

Now that I think about it, it is kind of weird that Zhu seemingly hasn't even mentioned as a potential candidate as a top 10 player when Axe is in like 50% of the lists and they're around the same level.

yeah for some reason if you tell an honest reason about something, ANYTHING, the smash community calls it a john. I blame a lot of my wins in my prime of both smash games on HAVING a good controller as well. I wouldn't do nearly as well with a bad one. It DOES matter, at least to players with technical playstyles
