Yes, they should have known Mango is far too conceited to ever take the offer. Silly naive mods!

And where are people getting the impression that there was a demand for an apology? The last post of this thread gives no indication this was the case.

... I actually do think they kinda should have seen that coming, yes.

I'm not trying to say that Mango's been a saint or something lol. All I'm saying is, they could've taken a different approach if they really wanted to give him a second chance.

Just to clarify some stuff pages ago, Javi is probable number one in Mexico but by no means is he invincible in here, thats a small difference with Armada in Europe.
Twin sent him to losers this Saturday on a tournament and he always gives Javi a hell of a time. Also Twin is at the same level as other players like EX, Yu, Valdo and then they follow players like Enga, .JPG, Aza, Rael, etc.

Yesterday Javi won another tournament in Mexico, 1st place as in the past eight years...but oh wait! i forgot only US tournaments count, nevermind, Placing was 1st Javi 2nd Tuga/Twin 3rd Enga

I enjoyed a lot the 2on2 final, Javi & Tuga vs Valdo & Aza... Winners Javi & Twin

They´re connected like with ***ing wifi, I would like to see Javi & Tuga vs Armada & M2K

And for me, Tuga is the best Falco , all the way better than pp

I got a list, here's the order of my list that it's in
It goes 1.-Armada, 2.-HungryBox, 3.-Mango, 4.-M2K, 5.-Javi and 6.-Tuga 7.-PeePee 8.-kirbykaze from canada 9.-SilentSpectre and then Wobbles.

But in the US Javi is the cause of a lot of envy so when he's not put on this list
the **** does not offend him.
That's why you see him walkin' around like nothin's bothering him,
even though half you people gotta ****in' problem with him,
you hate it but you know respect you got to give him.
The US's wet dream like Mango and PP... guys hit me...

You have a point with some of the things you said, but I really don't see how you can justify putting M2K over PP. PP beats and outplaces him every time, and he generally does better vs the other top players too.

Tuga over pp lmao
whats funny? makes just as much sense as placing pp over tuga

also about the javi placement-the only argument for having him below pp is because he lost 1 set to lovage. but hbox lost a set to kirbykaze who is worse then lovage anyway, and yet everybody constantly places him 2nd/3rd etc.
where is the sense?

we have no data of PP and Tuga competing in the same sample of skill. for all we know, Tuga could very well be better than PP, but the only way to make a case for either is via a bunch of inui logic, and we already know how well PP does in the very varied field of US tournaments. you all saw how Javi handled fighting against Hbox's puff; while he adapted very quickly it was obvious he lacked experience in certain MUs due to character choice being more dense toward space animals and other faster falling characters in Mexico. the same is likely true for Tuga; PP, however, has beaten both Armada and Hungrybox in tournament before, showing no such lack of experience.

Chisk1n: I really liked seeing Javi place well at Apex and I think I was the one that was most happy to see that happen next to himself/Mexican community but saying Tuga is best Falco means he would be better then Mango. I think that is wrong especially since Javi could not outplace him last time.

I hope with all of my heart that at least Javi/Tuga attend FC or if Genesis3/Apex happens in the future =)

^This guy is correct, Mango's Falco is probable better than Tuga's, but i'm not sure about Dr. PP's.
Javi actually said he didn't care about losing or winning to Hbox, he was going there to beat Mango mainly cause everyone said he was invincible and Javi was sure he could take his Falco, which didnt happen. (I'm saying this so the "friendlies dont count argument" won't take place, he went pretty serious there)

lololol

they put PP at 7th

yet Hbox and M2k are higher even though they lose to him consistently
Despite Hbox losing to PP in head to head (when was the last time they played though? P5?), Hbox most certainly deserves to be ahead of PP in a ranking list.

I can't fathom an argument for why hbox should be below PP

They played a "serious MM" at some Apex qualifier (don't remember which one). PP won fairly convincingly.

I think people are going by Apex results a bit too much. If Javi didn't beat PP, Hbox would have most likely been beaten by the good doctor.

I am still disappointed that Mango lost to Hbox. No offense to Hbox, but I just wanted a more exciting grand finals.

Wha? They were going back and forth until one really close match Hungrybox SD'd and from then on played nowhere near the level he should have been playing at. Granted PP was still in the set lead before the SD but it was really close until that happened.

I thought they played two sets, and that PP won 3-1, 3-2? That's fairly convincing to me. Or did they only play one set?

I mean, I said "fairly" for a reason. I wasn't implying that Hbox got dominated or anything.

That's true but it was closer than it sounds. PP won the first set 3-2 with every match going down to the last stock and then then the second set was tied 1-1 (I think, that or it was 2-1 Hungrybox) last stock third match and Hungrybox had some momentum and then SD'd and got upset and left without even playing the last match. He was convinced to come back and play the last match and played awful, probably from being upset, and got dominated. I guess its still a solid win, but every match was so close and it really felt like Hungrybox was in position to take the second set before he coughed it up that it seems like it was closer than the score.

Its funny how people judge skill so heavily off set counts sometimes... Like warhawk mentioned... **** even a 3-0 set looks like **** but if every match was last stock high% the 3-0 is so misleading as to the set actually went.

Well, PP beat him at Pound 5 too, so that's 3 sets in a row...

I really don't know which one of them I consider better at this point, but I really don't think it's that outrageous to claim that PP has the upper hand in the head-to-head.

I'd agree with Beat! and say that PP has the upper hand head to head.

Then it gets trickier.
They've both lost to Armada the last few times theyve played him.
PP lost to Javi
Hbox beat Javi
PP has a history of losing to Mango
so does Hbox with the exception of their most recent set

for all we know if Javi hadnt attended PP could have been the one in GF playing Armada

Or maybe Hbox would have bet PP anyway? Even if Javi didn't?

People seem to be seriously underestimating (or forgetting) the fact that Hbox BEAT mango. 3-1.
When was the last time mango's spacies lost to someone not named armada? taj beat his falco that one time then got 4 stocked in losers straight up.

You don't just wake up one morning and beat mango playing serious spacies. Its entirely possible that hbox is just better than mango (and PP by extension) right now.

One set, dude. Whereas PP has won their head-to-heads every time in recent memory. Have your opinion, but ours is definitely not "unfathomable" because Hbox beat mango one time.

Yea, no I totally agree that PP has the advantage in the head to head, just that that's still close enough to where Hungrybox could be better because he does better against a lot of players PP doesn't do as well against.

Notice how i didnt say "If PP had beat Javi then he would have been in GF for sure"

it was merely an observation based on the past results of PP and Hbox's matches...

just like your observation that Hbox might be better than Mango. only mine is based on several tournaments where they've fought instead of your assumption based on a single set. also i dont know why youd think Hbox was better considering the tournament prior to Apex Mango absolutely ***** him

but eh what can you do about it.
its all speculation anyways
