1. Yoshi's Island - I like how there are no hazards, and it's different from Battlefield or Final Destination's plain backgrounds.
2. Smashville - It's very simple, and I love how it changes with the time of the day.
3. Frigate Orpheon - Small stages create the most havoc, it's just too fun.

Spear Pillar for crazy effects that f*** up everything.
Distant Island...because I just like it. I don't know why, maybe it's the layout of the stage.
Norfair for awesome hazards. The Metroid series had good stages.

1.-Smashville. It´s neutral and the Animal Crossing theme arrangement it´s just awesome.
2.-Final Destination. Again, neutrality and music played in it.

3: Yoshi's Only stage in brawl... it is his only stage right?

I like stages that keep me awake. Like hyrule castle somehow makes me bored... probably cause its the music.

2. Shadow Moses Island (Theme of Solid Snake and Calling to the Night rule; too bad the Metal Gears don't do anything like launch lasers and missiles at the Smashers)

3. Luigi's Mansion (I have some Russian ancestry, so Tetris: Type A strikes a chord in me like few musical pieces can)

As you can see, I choose my favorites based on music (which is why WarioWare will ALWAYS be at the bottom of my list; really love the stage but absolutely abhor the music [though the JP versions are tolerable]); honorable mentions go to Battlefield, Summit (Shin Onigashima), Mario Bros. (Nazo no Murasamejou), and Pokemon Stadium 3 (Gym Theme).
