Amazing. I may not have Ocarina, but I'm sure glad this works. I'll watch the videos when I get home. Also, where can you get Ocarina anyways? I'm curious.

Samus can still zair out of shield infinitely in the air. I'm pretty sure she's the one character who can gain height by doing this. Link falls too fast, Tlink and Lucas gain a bit of height, but not enough to help them recover.

I'm interested in this if they can add DD/L-cancel and a slight amount more hit stun and no auto sweet spot. At that point I think i'd give up melee. Even if I just played brawl the way I just described with friends and didn't go to tournaments anymore. Even tho with chibo/bum interested in running tournies like this who are in my area I could probably do it. :) DD is my # 1 thing i hated about brawl most tho, so that would be top priority. Also hit stun isn't even that big of an issue if they add L-cancel and air dodging is more dangerous combos would easily be possible with the new movement options and lack of defending yourself in the air.

Edit : Few questions for the people that have tested this already. Does the angle you have the control stick while performing the WD still make you go more/less far with each WD?

Oh Also a lessen the time before you can let go of the edge too, add that to my list.

Edit : I don't think speed of the game is an issue either it already looks 10x faster with just WDing with my other improvements it will be super fast. Although it could be a little less floaty, even if it hurts recoveries a bit at least we won't have to wait 5 seconds to fall from nearly dying up wards which is boring and slow (one of the reasons i never learned a floaty in melee). Anyways yah thats another thing.

Here's Part 2 of my Wavedashing in Brawl video. Part 3 I'm currently compressing, to see Part 1 go here.

Feel free to comment and suggest anything. I will update the descriptions with the new updated code.

Awesome video. It looks like a brand new game. Looking forward to part 3.

I would consider playing Brawl again if this was the case.

I will soon upload the video with IC wavedash, along with some random stuff in it (like missing a lot of wavedash's, I suck XD) I used a DVD recorder, so it will be ok.

If you liked that video, you'll like the videos I'll have by the end of the week with this code in use in actual matches. It'll be exciting indeed.

I'll upload Part 3 soon, it's done compressing, I'm just waiting for something.

I have a video of me testing out Pit with wavedashing in battle. I think it's really cool looking but my camera would make it laggy and not look nice.

Edit: So um... the new fixed code... It works great and all for what it was supposed to fix, and I could be wrong... but it seems to freeze whenever Captain Falcon is loaded. This is unacceptable.

Edit 2: Okay, maybe not. Why is my Wii randomly freezing at times then? O__o Something to do with no-trip code maybe.

Dun really know your problem, I'll be trying the newer code later and I'll tell you how it goes I guess. (I won't have any other codes on either).

I'm thinking it might be something you're doing or your Wii is being dumb (or your savegame could have asploded... nahh j/k). If it persists, I will mention it to Phantom Wings myself. But, before I do that, I will test it myself.

I just can't help to feel slightly sadden by this. Dunno why...
You see!? I'm not the only one who thinks that there is something terribly wrong with all of this. You're taking Sakurai's natural, wholesome creation, and you're giving it plastic surgery and turning it into your own wavedashing pleasure generator.

This must be a sin.

Well I'm doing CF vs CF right now and everything is going according to plan. :p Maybe it's another character. It happened as I was loading CF vs a character I can't remember and a demo movie where CF was involved, so I assumed it was CF.

I was referring to a tournament host.
After all, not everyone is honest. And then, there are also people that simply make mistakes.
Its not hard at all, when a player comes in with the wii, they put it into the comp and upload the hacks on, they're already pre-chosen so there is no chance of having any mistakes. The only way to switch it is if you retarted the game and put a new SD card in, but everybody would see that.

*Shrugs* Keep playing and if anything freezes more than like three times and it's a certain character, feel free to mention it. PW wants the feedback.

Okay sounds good. I'll test all the characters now.

By the way, for Sonic fans, I've been messing around with him 'cause I like his wavedash a lot. You know how you can jump out of his side/down-B moves and hit your opponent? Well you can instantly wavedash into the ground instead of wait for yourself to land... lulz combo city.

I'd love to try this, but I'm waiting for my Wii to get to my house already.

I like what I see so far, but is a code for increased hitstun being worked on? Is a code for increased hitstun even possible?

I wouldn't know, I don't know much about this stuff. I just follow instructions and play with the results.

Update! This for the most part works just like Melee.

Though oddly enough Ike can infinitely airdodge. So far I seem to be the only person who has run into this. Could someone else try it with Ike to see if they are having the same results?

Use this new code. It fixes the Ike glitch along with glitches that keep certain characters from wavedashing, also it keeps ROB from freezing the game when he air-dodges.

Edit: This code was made by Phantom Wings to fix his old Melee air-dodge code.

Maybe it wasn't your intention, but it would really be appreciated if you post credits next time. If you are unsure, at least state that it wasn't you who created it. Hackers deserve recognition for their hard work.

And Phantom Wings is responsible for the above-mentioned code update, if you were wondering. Although I can't see how you missed that one.

Oh, sorry. I generally remember to give credit for that sort of thing. ^ ^;; The code was posted earlier in this thread, and I assumed maybe it would be inferred. I will edit the post.

Mine worked fine with this matchup. With both characters being P1 or P2. I think the new code is buggy for some reason when it's first used... strange. I haven't found any other problems.

I also have no tripping code on and it was fine. Maybe it has to do with the costumes and stage...? I don't remember my costumes but it was on FD.

CF vs ROB works fine for me too.

I've got updated Wave Dash code, No Tripping, and Extended Replay on.

I haven't experienced any freezes since the new code.

I'm using Updated Wavedash Code and No Tripping. I experienced freezing twice, the first match I tried it with, and once when a demo was playing while I posting on Smashboards.

I haven't experienced any freezing since those. And I've tried CF vs every character.

Edit: Another technique/mechanic I've found is if you wavedash off a ledge, normal you would get stuck unless you held the control stick to "walk" off. Well, if you use an attack, you slide off. (Much like in Melee where if you ran and did a sliding Up-B with Link he would fall off the ledge doing his standing Up-B) I found this out with Falco's down-b and it seems to be pretty useful so far.

Hm, my game froze when I upB with Sonic and immediately Airdodged...
Mine did too. Scenario was Sonic vs Sonic on FD.

Edit: I'm not sure why this would happen. I tried it with Snake's Up-B, which has similar properties (You aren't put into a true 'fallspecial' after using it), and it didn't freeze.
