Wait. If directional airdodging + infinite airdodging in the air = something, wouldn't the something be unkillable people since you can just airdodge to stop your momentum and airdodge to get back on stage?

I just tried it out. It's fun to mess with and it works really well. You air dodge directionally and you go into freefall mode after doing it. It works exactly like Melee. You can even Smash out of it. Luigi still has an awesome WD

Hacked versions of Brawl aren't tournament standard. There will be those oddball tournaments - but overall, hacked versions are too untrustworthy.

This will be fun to see in action though. Wavedashing Sonics...

Anyways, this works with Kirby, but I'm wondering how. None of his moves put him into "Helpless falling animation" yet he has one once you air dodge. Weird.

Nope. You can host a tourney with any rules and it will still be considered a tourney. I could hold a move swap tourney if I wanted too.

They probably imported some of the data from Melee before they decided that you could airdodge more than one time and stuff.

I wasn't. It's just that because Meta Knight is broken, adding a wavedash makes him even more broken.

Agreed, mostly.

L-cancelling is cool but laggy aerials are laggy for a reason, but I suppose L/R-Cancelling wouldn't be bad.

Hitstun was on my mind when I posted what I posted, combo ability is probably one of the last major steps to a Melee 2.0.

I'm not clear on the difference between moonwalking and wavedashing.

As long as the L-canceling simply halves the landing lag and doesn't remove it entirely, it would make for a good implementation, imo.

Hitstun will hopefully not be as big as a problem now that air dodging could be a deadly affair. I'm just afraid of airdodging down into the ground after a horizontally launching attack to prevent being ko'd

The Homebrew Channel + Gecko OS 1.07 or Ocarina.

To download the Homebrew Channel you need an SD card, SD card reader and a copy of Twilight Princess (you can just rent it if you want). Google instructions on how to install it. I think this site called "WiiHD" has a zip file with everything you need for the Homebrew Channel in it.
