Nooooooo... a joke character is one who is INTENTIONALLY designed to be bad. Given that Sakurai doesn't think of Smash as a fighting game, it seems more likely to me that he just creates the characters to how he thinks they should operate and gives no second thought to how good they will be.

also pichu was a joke just like sheik was meant to be broken in both cases they when pretty close to making it true, but pichu is useable. QAlso why doesn't anyone seem to know the percents of self-damage for pichu?

Pichu isn't a joke... And Sheik isn't broken...
I don't know the percentages off-hand, I used to when I played Pichu, but I've forgotten.

Another Flaw with Pichu is he can't deal much damage.

chain throws/tech-chases nair does a solid 12% I argee some moves are dumb like upair/fair but percent isn't everything take ice climbers they do 15% a tilt, 23% a smash and 17% for air moves. that's nuts seeing how fast those moves are when they also have great kill options. However they can't land their attacks enough they lack the speed of fox/falcon/pichu and etc. pichu can out run people so he can keep in control and do his damage when he needs to and has decent kill options.

The only time i've ever really had percent damage problems was vs puff on dreamlnad but everyone has that problem.

LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL I was riding my bike today and the computer had viruses due to my step dad looking at porn. Pichu was a joke and I will never say i'm a great pichu player gave the most helpful by far.

I have always thought all of this stuff for young link he feels like a huge waste to me. aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaalllllllsoooooo pichu>kirby wanta know why? because all kirby has on pichu is tilts, duck, and range. but seeing how kirby's moves suck there range is somewhat wasted like roy. straight up not a single move kirby has is as good as pichu's nair.

You may say Bair but I disargee if you start bairing they start projectiling you and it's not like you puff and are fast. kirby can only camp really or his foe has to be dumb and make many mistakes. Why his SD tactics should be LOLed at, because if you know anything about kirby I hope you don't fall for those tricks.

no pichu's nair is like falcon's movement with his knee, kirby with his range and slugishness is like bowser and his fair. they DD around to nair/fair and even if kirby's has more range, it's much easier to predict/see/punish and doesn't combo.

<3 you BunBun People truely don't know anything about kirby or pichu so they just think oh kirby=puff and pichu just hurts himself. I beat my brother's fox fairly solidly as pichu in a serious matcch once and under pressure and lack of self-faith I when marth and lost, I can blame the noobs S*** talking me at that time but it's pretty sad that I would let them control my match at all.

Pichu, in my opinion, is not as bad as the tier lists say. The Prince of Pichu, the Messiah of the Mouse, ICG, proves that point to the fullest. Mindgames get bigger as you go down the tier list, and ICG, as he has said, abuses the mindgames.
