I hardly have Time ATM cos of Uni but although dean has a good layout, it isn't as detailed as i was hoping the pr would be. This is an objective overview that anyone could do. Im going to do a more subjective and objective overview and give it to Jei. Like I said I don't think that the pr could do a subjective overview for everyone, which is why I think the pr should at least have a tiers or ties system for situations like this. But anyway it doesn't really matter for now.

If we can be objective about it, we will. If it's clear that results and player vs player match ups are not sufficient for the answer, then discussion about playstyles and how you do against top players comes up more so. The thing is we didn't need to be subjective about the decision between you and Jei.

It was unanimous, when we interpreted the statistics they all said Jei > Ledge to us, and then we all also agreed Jei > Ledge. We don't need to be any more detailed when we already have the answer.

Actually I'm not talking about play styles. I'm talking about opportunity, specific weighting and what it means to surpass someone. tbh I don't know if I'm going to have time to do it and when I do all it's really going to do is give people some perspective to what I'm thinking. So it's more of a defense for myself to people who now think I'm crazy haha.
I also wanted to include detailed reasons for why I still want to be left off the next PR.

You could make a points system. Like, first place gets 15 points, second gets 10 or something.

But even that system is pretty flawed.

I think prs have to remain subjective, but that will always mean someone will be unhappy.

I also think Tibor is probably better than earl, but I suppose he needs to rage less and prove it.

@Gary: Consider that my response wasn't supposed to directly relate to each individual word of your last post. You commented "The PR discussion isn't as detailed" as you'd like it, and so I told you what our process is and defended the process. You have it in your head that your method is better I guess, because you kind of overlooked what I have said and have shown no sign of admitting that our process is sufficient or decent. You always glaze over any response and dismiss it, and continue to go along with the ideas that are stubbornly implanted in your head. This is consistent throughout the thread. I appreciate that you have comments and suggestions that we can incorporate to improve our methods but note that we will implement them at our discretion. It won't make you look like less of a spastic though. :/

E: Oh I see. Uh, it's not really in my interest to prove that I'm better than Earl and Tibs. If I was going to make it priority well guess what? I WOULDNT have gone to KFC lol.
A bo5 won't prove anything either because to go higher I would need to do something like beat you and Earl, not just Tibs. I believe I could have beaten Earl and Tibs on that day at ACL, but I have no intention of attempting to any more. I will definitely play some bo5's with people next time I can anyway, so your perfect world of bo5's will have a chance, Attila.

Why assume that I'm not making any sense when you've already demonstrated the train of logic that would get you to a sensible conclusion (that I believe I could have beat Earl as well on that day) ??

objective measures (like tourney results) rarely tell the full story.

Objectivity is used where preferred, but due to the way life is, it is not always applicable.
An objective system doesn't always provide us with definitive answers on who goes where on the PR
Therefore subjectivity is employed to get the job done right.
If anything like this was done with total objectivity, having any more than one person on the PR panel would be totally superfluous.

So I realize I've been MIA lately because of summer school and some of you are wondering if I'm stll popping up in Melbourne for some sexy Yankee on Aussie Smash action.

So basically this is what's happening:

I'm getting a big *** $5,000 USD check from a family member very soon. This would essentially cover the entire trip and then some.

More or less waiting on that. I originally wanted to pop up in August but we mighhhhht have to wait a little. We shall see. But I haven't forgotten about you folks. Summer classes for college are insane. Its the same amount of work as normal classes but in half the time....just two more weeks to go.

Sebby above Toshi (Although Sebby is showing promise, I don't feel that he has yet exceeded Toshi as a player.

@Gaz; Our reasoning was years of dominance does not come undone by one tournament, no matter the size. Surely it is a prime time for Earl to seize #1 on the PR, however.

Sebby placed equal with Toshiba, and has beaten him in bracket. We also took into consideration Sebs games with ZXV; because ZXV is an interstater it was basically proof of Seb's ability to deal with new things, which isn't really a criteria, but is one of the things that "come with game experience", and we were doubting Seb because of a "lack of experience" as you do with all new players. It meant any bias against Seb as a newcomer had to be put aside for now, and his recent (3 months) peformance has, even if only a little bit, definitely outdone Toshi. And before that he wasn't doing too bad either, so yeah.

Still surprising I'm sure, but now you have a bit of food for thought about those.
Everything else is certainly more obvious, so I do believe I have "gotten that one out of the way".

I definitely won't come to next tournament unless it's in December which would be pretty lame for everyone else to have to wait that long for a tournament.

Either way I want to put this as a tentative PR and do another before end of year just because
1. I'm not happy with the image
2. Attila's legacy is very grand, but Earl is probably pretty frustrated he is not first and he is quite deserving of it, I am itching to reward Earl though
3. I want to go lower on the PR because my bros are below me (Nicks and Seb)

Oh yeah and

4. There are too many Yellow Zero's
