I admit, the SS2 car line was pretty funny.

It was like a Smash parade.

Edit: Oh yeah, just finished my first AP test today.

Craaaaazy stuff.

No but really, depending on the number of APs you take, the hype dies down. The only problem I had was staying warm and eating - I couldn't leave the venue once the test commenced. You'll be fine though.

Be careful with AP courses not EVERY college accepts every AP course! (or only accept them if you get a 4 or 5 on the exam) Unless you're aiming to do a 4 year degree in 3 years or something (not a bad goal, saves money) then there really isn't much reason to bust your *** like that in high school when you can be having fun. AP courses typically end up covering general education credits more than they cover credits that count toward your major, especially if you're someone that takes as many AP's as possible, which sounds nice in theory, but general ed kinda helps you keep your sanity in college when you start taking harder classes that all pertain to your major.

Plus some general ed classes can be pretty interesting. I found psychology quite interesting when I took it in college, and on top of that it was an easy A.

Idk, I took 5 APs senior year and it was my easiest year in high school.

I took a couple junior and senior year. It helps, but don't lose your high school years to studying. Grade school means next to nothing. It's recognized as more of a babysitting program than an educational institution.

I think it's about that time where we update the PR. I've taken Neil down the last three times I have played him. Minh is always top three or four now. RTF and Foy have stepped their game up. Some placings need to be reworked.

When was the last time steffon beat me in tournament? he's been on opposite bracket for like a year. I want him round 1.

Either way, I'm positive against you in tournament. :p

EDIT: Since Sam is in the shower and I can't grab my stuff I'll make a rough draft of the new PR:

I'm really on taking into consideration the tournaments of the last six months, and I am included EVERYONE because I feel the PR should be as accurate as possible, and free of bias, so even if someone requested to be removed, they are included, but I will compensate this by ranking an additional person for every player that would not be listed due to request.

1. JesiahTEG: Only has one recent tournament loss in singles, but is consistently the top player. This is pretty much undisputed.

2. Vicious: Has defeated PikaPika! the last three times they faced in tournament, as well as beating virtually every other good player on a consistent basis in tournaments.

3. PikaPika!: Very capable of beating Vicious and Minh, and always produces close sets with Jesiah. With more practice and actually caring, is capable or retaking the number two spot.

4. TheManaLord: Only remains to be high on the list due to his consistent placing in tournaments, and his various tournament victories, including beating PikaPika! and always beating Minh.

4. Minh: Tied with TheManaLord. Recently has seen a large amount of growth in his capabilities, and always produces close sets with people ranked above him, and (as far as I know) never losing to players ranked below him. Possibly the only player we never really see have an "off" within our region.

6. Dudutsai. Included for the sake of accuracy. I very skilled player with a style many find troubling to beat. Needs to attend more tournaments.

7. KID Goggles: Eschewing all personal bias people may have for him, I still believe Goggles is capable of beating all of the players beneath him in tournament, as well as having a shot on a good day at a few of the players ranked above him.

This is where the list becomes more of a challenge to accurately rank

8. Spamus: Capable Samus player, has consistent wins over certain players. Needs to attend more tournaments.

8. Beatfish/BeatBahamut: Capable Fox player. Tied with Spamus. Has seen a lot of developement in his game recently.

8. RTF: Has been steadily improving, delivered some close sets in recent tournaments.

8. Foy: Seen an incredible amount of growth recently. Will be a contender within a few months for upper level placement.

8. TheGeneral: Has a shakey record recently when it comes to placements, and because of this he is harder to rank accurately. Always tends to perform well, and place in the the upper third or so of the players attending.

8. ArteryClogger: Skilled with a number of characters, but has not attended any of the last few tournaments we have held. With more attendance he could be ranked more accurately.


Anyone who can provide some valid and unbiased insight in making these rankings more accurate would be greatly appreciated.

Players worth mentioning:

SilverSpawn; Undoubtedly skilled, but only played in one melee tournament within recent memory. With even a hand full more tournaments, it would be easy to gauge where he truly resides.

Juni: Very recently picked up SSBM, but is proven to be skilled in a number of fighters, and possesses a mind that quickly learns the games he is playing. Within a few months will be a serious force.

Burak: Grown a bit recently, but still chokes during tournament matches. Needs to correct this, as well as raise the bar for himself regarding where he wants to place.

Pyro: With a change of characters, and a bit more dedication could likely be always ranked top 10 in the region.

Alexei: Very likely still skilled, but has not attended anything in a great while. Possibly retired? But still talented nonetheless.

Cura: Has shown some ambition recently when it comes to melee. With more intensive training could very likely step up and be a contender. His intelligence from brawl is currently carrying him in tournaments, but once he becomes familiar with melee and its pace he will undoubtedly improve a great deal.

I enjoy how people are above/tied with me that can't beat me. I'm not sure everyone follows the same guidelines in forming these charts. It seems to me you guys are using tournament results but omitting trend breaking or outlier results.

Again I move to be taken off, I don't wnat to be portrayed inaccurately and I haven't been around for how long? It'll be another month before you see me at or hosting a tournament.

It's ironic I say this coming from a largely asian high school that was appropriately AP-tastic. I still only took two APs, phys and chem. Big ones.

Seriously? Don't act like a child. The only person who is tied with you is Minh, and it's because he has been to every tournament, beaten everyone (save you, your record against him is impeccable), and because no one else in the region except the players above him can beat him. Everyone else above you is capable of beating you, and has done so in the past. Yes you've beaten Neil, but I had to do it THREE times before anything would've been justified in being changed.
