also registration for MLG Columbus starts on the 5th, and I'm willing to bet that spots will run out fast for this one, so if you aren't sure what you're doing, you'd better decide soon. The trip, not including food, will cost somewhere around $110 or so, extra if you enter teams.

Just an FYI, past few training sessions with Spamus have been incrediblepic. That's a stupid word I just made up, but seriously, I feel like I was a far worse player five days ago.

1. I have a copy of MvC2, MvC1, Power stone, sonic adventures 1 and 2, soul calibur 1, Bomberman online, Jet grind radio along with other games, with a dreamcast that I have in the trunk of my car. AT. ALL. TIMES. I NEVER take it out. if you ever want to play anything I have, feel free to ask me at literally ANY point in time.
2. RITchies is madd legit, theres massively big tvs and super comfy couches, we should defintely play there more often as with the people that most likely go in and out of that place, It would be good exposure for the smash community. The only thing wrong with the place is that with the massive tvs, the beastly couches, the pool tables, and air hockey machines (will take all money matches in air hockey btw) I dont think we can fit as many actual people in there as there would be for a serious tournament.
3. I SERIOUSLY hope that you didnt make a reservation for the full 12 hours slashy. we only need a solid 3-5 hours.
4. Since nobody can really decide when to have a tourney and all of this is unofficial, we might as well just have 2 tourneys, this weekend, AND next weekend, that way everyone that wants to show up on a certain day can do that, and everyone that is busy on a certain sat can still make it out to a tournament.
5. What should probably happen for next week is that we have RITchies reserved, but we all just show up in the fireside lounge ( that massive waiting room from the last 'Hit You Again') and play there, and should we get kicked out, we can move down in to RITchies since we will already have it reserved.
6. Everyone that plays brawl needs to know. About a week or so ago, I had a massive breakthrough in my game. Im dead serious. I dont know what happened, but something just clicked in my head and now my sonic is playing better than it ever has before. I was beating neil consistently, I 2-0d Curas ICs and MK in a set yesterday (inb4 cura johns). and about 3 hours ago, I 2-0d Jesses MK, and made him quit out of a match with his snake. Im like unstoppable right now. Everyone thats currently higher than me on the PR, needs to watch their backs.
7. @ Snakeee, Even when we lose, teaming with you is madd funn, and we need to do it for a tournament. Im playing freaking amazing right now. and I think we could win the whole tourney

1. One of these days, you have to teach me really how to play MvC2, so I'm not just flailing and hitting buttons. As in, actually learn the character's movesets and learn how to input them. Also I want to get more familiar with traditional fighters.
2-3 Awesome. Especially with traffic. Sorry that it won't be Geneseo's traffic, but it'll do.
4. Even awesomer, since this weekend is pretty awful for me.

I'm not going to john for pika but I think he's in a rut. He usually ***** the **** out of me, and he did against me in our friendlies last weekend, but like if I was to rate his **** from 1-10. His **** level was at like a 4 last weekend. xD I don't know if I've seen him at 10, but I've seen him way better then this. He was doing a lot better when soy2 was going down imo.
I'm just a scrub compared to his level though so whatever I say can be taken with a pinch of salt, but still thats my opinion.

-true thoughm because he can sandbag hella hard, very easily, whereas changing my play level that drastically (as a fraction of maximum skill level) for me would take a lot of actually THINKING my bad moves. And an equal % change in my skill level is less difference than him. I dunno. S-tier sandbag.
-Sandbagging johns are a big deal but given that he actually backs up that he's sandbagging his casual matches with stupendously explosive tournament and MM play, I actually believe him now.

MvC2 is stupidly fun, but its not worth learning how to play seriously at this point in time. If you guys want to just be like nightro and just learn how to become more acquainted with traddy fighters thats fine, but seriously trying to get involved with the game is a bad idea. Out of all the smash kids, Im the best at the game but I would still get obliterated by anybody thats at an even basic tournament level for that game.

It's so much harder than you think.
I effin love it when I do laser - up smash (cause it comes out faster than Fsmash, gets him above me, and I don't move forward along with him) and he crouch cancels it, so it literally just looks like Samus takes the hit and doesn't give a ****.

Anyway yah let us know what's going on tonight.
Then again the weather's too good in Geneseo, especially with girls walking around wearing significantly less clothing than usual. I god**** love this school.

edit: last time I played him I was hit by CC dsmash like twice at the beginning of a match on dreamland... then I made a note of this. and four stocked him.
I do think it's cool that we have all these new players though, and I hope to be challenged by everyone as much as possible!

First off. Neil probably sandbagged the **** out of you. And Jesse was just done running a marathon before you played him. Of course he would qui t out, he just ran a mutha****ing marathon. 26 miles in one day. Tired as ****.

It's good to give people hope.
It's fun though, I run into the same people consistently in tournament matches. A lot of people don't know that I'm really gay when playing to win and I will beat you down hard.
And yeah, the PR is a little whack =/ I don't see how I can be included when my performance can't be gauged (inactivity) and then some people make it on / get moved up with completely wishwashy results.
We know eachother as a community, we don't need results of misc tournaments to tell us who's better than who.

Ok, so I'm about to leave for syracuse and won't be checking smashboards. My cell is 518-860-6005, and I need 2 things:
1. A confirmation that something is going to be happening at RIT.
2. Someone to give me directions upon arriving at RIT so I don't have to wander around a campus that I don't know again.
If nobody lets me know for certain that somethings happening and where it's happening, then I'm not gonna drive out there.

Okay, good news, I have a location, and the tournament is back on!
The location will be the Sol Activity Room 47-1016, it is somewhat small, but at least twice the size that EGS gave us and it will have comfy couches to sit on. The time will be from 1300 (1PM) to 0000(12 AM) so we'll have plenty of time to hit up all events.
IF you know where Sol's is, it will be on the first floor to the left.
Here is the order of events I have planned, I have no idea how long events will last.
(1 hour devoted to signups)
Melee doubles-5 dollars per entrant
Melee singles-5 dollars
Brawl doubles - 5 dollars per entrant
Brawl+ doubles - 2 dollars per entrant
Brawl Singles-5 dollars
Brawl+ singles- 2 dollars
Payout will be 60/30/10
If you have trouble, call me at my cell at 561-702-3908. I'll need setups for this.
