I just realized that, with all the Halo games now effectively coming to PC and Steam this year, and with the Game Pass rumors on Switch, we're very likely to have Halo on Switch, and Master Chief being in Smash is more than just a pipe dream.

If that happens, I think my family is going to have to have a knife fight to decides who gets him.

Campaigning for a character is a good for to make fans' voices heard and bring attention to a good character with potential that Sakurai and Nintendo may not pay much attention to otherwise.

I don't think Ridley or K. Rool would be here if it weren't for all their avid, vocal fans and the years they spent voicing their strong support for them however they possibly could.

As long as people don't put their expectations too high and go bashing Sakurai and the devs over not putting their personal desires in the game, I don't see any problem with campaigning for a character you want to see playable.

And I was just thinking of making a Harvest Moon/Rune Factory support thread as a thinly veiled general thread to talk about the games :b

I'm sure Poochy would have a wonderful moveset, but he is the epitome of either scraping the bottom of the barrel or shameless promotion, and I'm not really for either of those, especially when there are choices within both categories that accomplish more.

To me, the character that is pretty much the closest the Yoshi games have to a secondary mascot is not scraping the bottom of the barrel. It comes off as rude...

I do genuinely think he would make a great base game newcomer to add another Yoshi rep. I don't know if I would pay 7 bucks for him though

Dark Pit's not unpopular as a Kid Icarus character, just as a Smash character because being a literal clone and all.

And also KI:U is an actually good game so that's two in his favor.

Like, legit, in the next Smash, I'd tie Chrom and Robin together in a duo and declone Chrom.

One, because they complement each other with long-range and close-range capabilities. Like, imagine Robin setting up an arcfire, switching over to Chrom, who then does a Soaring Slash. That **** would be rad as hell. Or being knocked off stage with Chrom, switching over to Robin, and then Elwinding back

Two, because this references the FEA Pair-up mechanic with dual-strikes and defends where they attack consecutively and cover each others' weaknesses. During their final smashes, they could even call out their partner to initiate the barrage of attacks.

Three, because LORE. Robin's entire shtick is the power of bonds between people so it'd make so much sense he'd fight together with a dear friend. Also I know at least one of you here is a weirdo Robin x Chrom shipper so now you can live out your wildest fantasies.

KI:U is legit great. In fact, my BIGGEST gripe is that my hand cramped hard playing that on the OG 3DS. Luckily that's on its way out so if we ever get Uprising 2, it's gonna be on something that isn't shaped like a brick.

Spring Man or Ribbon Girl most likely. But no one's an outright lock. Rex probably, unless a third XC game comes out and it's been enough time to implement the protagonist of that title instead.

More importantly, how can we get some Daemon X Machina content, is it even owned by Nintendo in some fashion? If not is that Astral Chain game owned by Nintendo?
