If a new Xenoblade comes out before then, which will likely be the case, I don't see Rex making it.

Honestly I could see it both ways

It could be that Sakurai pulls a Sakurai and puts Rex in because of moveset potential/he liked XC2, or that the new protag is added for promotion purposes (assuming the new game released in the proper release window for the Smash dev cycle)

I could also see one being added in base and another in DLC as well

I just realized that, with all the Halo games now effectively coming to PC and Steam this year, and with the Game Pass rumors on Switch, we're very likely to have Halo on Switch, and Master Chief being in Smash is more than just a pipe dream.

If that happens, I think my family is going to have to have a knife fight to decides who gets him.

I almost forgot about that. Aren't supposed to learn more about the potential partnership later this month?

It'd be great if Killer Instinct and Cuphead were on the Game Pass, if that comes to Switch after all.

I tried to spotdodge it but I must not have accidentally released the shield button out of panic or something. Either way it feels like you're kind of the bane to my Zelda though. Ganondorf should not be that difficult to zone out yet you always manage to get him in on me.

I prepare to be disappointed anyways given Nintendo is choosing.

Steve? Because of how big Minecraft is and the impact it left on modern gaming. No way is Nintendo gonna pass that opportunity up.

Then the other two would be added for promotional reasons and its not like we don't have enough of them already amIriteorwut? Same with Erdrick given its popularity in Japan and new Dragon Quest game coming out.
