You can’t ignore the optics of BWD. To someone who’s NOT a Kirby fan (most people over 7) he is just a generic enemy given a weapon and a hat. You see no personality. Even if you don’t know K. Rool (for example) he looks and acts like an actual CHARACTER and not fodder.
Yes, because being part of a species, means you have no personality, and you're just a generic boring character, right, :ultyoshi:?

No, giving a character big roles and actual character to them is what makes them important and beloved.

Again, I find Bandana Dee a little overrated due to just how suddenly he went from a random nobody from a minigame to a major player in the franchise, but still. You have proven time and time again to be nothing but willingly ignorant and hostile toward the character for no good reason.

Since you know zilch about Kirby as you admit, you should stop running your mouth about what you do not know.
I’ve watch a lot of people talk about Kirby games on the internet. AntDude in particular has a deep love of the series. And he never once mentioned that character unless he was just listing the player characters. Never mentioned how much he liked him. Never mentioned his prominence in the story. Nothing. If he was so important and beloved, then wouldn’t people who review these games be talking about him? He is as important as Blue and Yellow toad. And we aren’t putting THEM in Smash.

If Yoshi weren’t already in Smash i’d be saying that about him too. At least a Yoshi took the staring role in his own series. Such a waste. They could have at least given him a unique name.

So question, in the pokmon world, would pokemon eat other pokemon? Like, would a Serperior eat a ****ing Lopunny like this one vid I saw of a komodo dragon eating a monkey?
Just crack open the Pokédex and you'll see several examples. :p

Mandibuzz kill and eat Cubone, for example. The skulls Vullaby wear are from those same Cubone.

By giving him a new hat. Therefore, my theory is correct:

Hat = Personality.

This post was brought to you by Dr. Good Guy Giygas, PhD.
I really hope Cappy sticks around. So far, he's made it to two games, I really hope Nintendo doesn't just neglect him like they do to the rest of Mario's partners.

I love it when Pokemon gets metal as hell.
Never forget that in addition to using it to collect pollen, Beautifly also uses its proboscis as a needle to suck blood from live prey.

To be fair, Nintendo characters tend to be as one-dimensional as they can possibly get.
Well, for their icons maybe. Mario has to be bland because he is Mickey Mouse, he's the face of Nintendo. He can't have personality because that isn't marketable in a mainstream. Luigi on the other hand, almost always has personality. His animations and body language in Luigi's Mansions are very clear indicators as to how scared he is of his situation.

Point is, it's hard for mascots to have personalities, as they need to be as inoffensive as possible in order to be marketed. If you want personality, look at the supporting cast

I lied, I got more questions. What do you think an eevee would eat in the wild? You think they would pray on Pichus?
Eevee's basically a fox-cat hybrid, so it's likely an omnivore at least, carnivore at most.

If the diet is more like a fox, it'd likely eat smaller insect and reptile-like Pokémon, in addition to plants and fruit every now and then. If its diet were more like a cat, then it'd be a full-on carnivore and prey on small mammals and birds.

Bruxish and Omastars will literally tear apart Shellders' shells and slurps the insides Mortal Kombat style.

This statement, right here just proves your argument is entirely wrong

Even without his own series, I would still say Yoshi would still on one of the bigger Mario characters, and an obvious choice for Smash, if he wasn't in already...
A character not being allowed in Smash because they're a generic species, makes no sense, especially when we also have :ultpikachu::ultjigglypuff::ultpichu::ultsquirtle::ultivysaur::ultcharizard::ultlucario::ultgreninja::ultincineroar:

Except he didn’t, Yoshi usually has to share the spotlight in his games with his multicolored brethren. In fact, in the original Yoshi’s Island, it forces you to use a bunch of different colored Yoshis.

I mean, it’s basically a vaguely interpreted fox, so it’d eat the approximate equivalents...

Pokemon have a bit more individuality, but still, you wouldn't just ignore them for being apart of a species.

Didn't that basically lead to the creation of Donald Duck? Eventually they decided the less wholesome aspects of Mickey needed to go since he was becoming the company mascot, so they took the more unsavory aspects and made Donald the new go-to for them.

The Kecleons will get their revenge by ganging up on the Eevee, just like when you try to steal an item in those Pokémon Spinoff games.
