Maybe we rip what we can from that Spirit website and then anyone who submits a spirit has to submit a description with it? and anyone who wants to can fill in descriptions when they want to for any spirits that don't already have one?

Master Spirit: Rugal Bernstein
Rugal Bernstein
Series: The King of Fighters
Debut: The King of Fighters '94 (August 25, 1994)
Facility: Themed Spirit Tournament
Type: Master
Class: Ace
  • Puppet Fighter: :ultganondorf::ultbayonetta1::ultbayonetta:
  • Stage: King of Fighters Stadium
  • Music Track: Cutting Edge - KOF 2002 UM
  • Match: Stamina (800%) (500%)
  • Conditions:
    • The enemy's punches and kicks have increased power
    • The enemy gain super armor when at high damage
This facility makes a good use of the spirit theme that we did once in awhile, rather than acquiring them normally through the spirit board this time you can get all of them quickly in the style of a tournament bracket where slowly the spirit that you fight gets harder and harder based on their classes as you reach higher and higher, whether the event recycled an existing spirit or whatnot. This is probably a combination of an already established spirit and tourney event and make it more than just a passing occurrence. This facility also perfectly matches with Rugal's role in the early KoF game considering he is the one that host those tournament.

Job #77: New Master Spirit

Submission: Zenkichi Hasegawa (Persona Series)

from Persona 5 Strikers (2021)

1616719794603.png

Function: Teach spirits "Officer Style" - Major increase to grabs, specials, and defense, but a major decrease to speed and non-grab, non-special attacks.

Puppet Fighter: Sephiroth; Ganondorf (Gray Alt); Two tiny Wolfs
Conditions:
-
The enemy's neutral special has increased power
-Defeat the main fighter to win
The enemy starts the battle with a Steel Diver
The enemy constantly takes minor damage
The enemy heals when it damages you.
Type: Uh... Master Class. No type.
Stage: Mementos - Omega version (Persona 5 version) - only Zenkichi himself will appear in the background.
Music: Counter Strike - Persona 5 Strikers

P5S Spoilers:
Sephiroth represents Zenkichi himself in his Phantom Thief persona, Wolf, with the focus on neutral special representing his affinity to Megido, the most powerful and dangerous elemental type in the Persona series. Ganondorf represents Valjean, his Persona. The Wolves act both as an homage to his Phantom Thief codename as well as the fact he dual-wields pistols; they only use their neutral special and are invisible. Lastly, the constant minor damage and healing when he damages you reference his Fury mode - which acts exactly as specified.)

Manuela (Fire Emblem Three Houses)

Manuela would teach your spirits the Bard Style, The Bard style would see a decrease in defense and damage but you would see an increase in recovery items and abilities effectiveness, and an increase in range for Up specials.
  • Puppet Fighter: :ultpalutena: Default
  • Stage: Garreg Mach (Omega)
  • Music Track: Blue Skies and a Battle
  • Match: 1Stock
  • Conditions:
    • Controls will sometimes reverse
    • Slumber Floor
    • Healing Items will spawn
    • The enemy likes to use special moves

This was originally intended to be The Merchant from Resident Evil 4 but since he was newly Spirited, I won’t be breaking my own rule so I’m going with these guys instead...

About Goombella; The descriptions could only be implied. We don't necessarily have much place for entire descriptions on the Spirit Lists, so we could explain her facility on a separate wikia page with a handful of Spirit Descriptions as examples.

I really like the idea! But there's simply no way I can write that much lmao. Which is why I'm proposing this, as I would be down to write 2-3 descriptions for my favourite Spirits. This would also breathe some new life into Spirits too, and make them feel more special.

Little question regarding these Master Spirit submissions.

Now let's say, Rugal wins. Will he still be applicable for a Boss prompt? Asking this as I actually always wanted to submit him for that specific role as I believe he is the perfect SNK candidate for it.

Considering there's already a possibility that bosses also dropped their own spirit, with Rugal, after defeating him you will acquire his Master Spirit and automatically unlocked his facility. This is probably a good reward after defeating a boss but I'll wait for Venus' opinion.

Assist Trophy characters from previous titles can be upgraded into playable form before we finish our start roster and launch the game. Once that happens, all prior content is considered locked in. That being said, submitted content like Assist Trophies for Infinite can’t be upgraded. I know that sounds hypocritical but it’s to ensure those submissions, which someone took time to create remains intact.
I'm not as concerned about New ATs not being upgradable, because we can simply not vote for one we might wish to be playable. I just don't like that ATs from Ultimate only have the base game to be added, because of a decision we didn't make.

That sounds like a good idea for Master Spirits that could potentially become bosses.

Ok, now I understand what you meant. I do get the idea that “it would of been nice to see this AT upgraded.” I would like to see Alucard, Zero, Yuri, and even Midna included in the game but I know this isn’t probably likely. If you were to look at past Smash rosters, we’ve already included more previous assist trophies than before with Isaac, Waluigi, and Ashley being included. Plus, the possibility of us having a newcomer submission round focused on promoting an Ultimate AT is very likely. That being said, we obviously can’t include the whole roster of Ultimate assists. One should be enough.

Also, as a side note-if Goombella wins, could we maybe have a job for writing Spirit descriptions? Because while I know lots of people wouldn't want to waste their time writing a ton of descriptions, but that's almost certainly something I'd want to waste my time on.

Job #78: Submit a Jill/Leon Reveal Trailer for The Game Awards Show

It’s time for us to reveal our brand spanking new Resident Evil trailer for the Game Awards Show! This one is a double feature with both Jill and Leon set to appear...

Your job is to write up the reveal trailer but, to start us off, I’ll write the very beginning with the Super Smash Bros. Infinite x Resident Evil event.

Geoff Keighley: And that’s about wraps up the 20XX Game Awards Show! We saw tons of great games and celebrated the best games this year. But...are we forgetting something?

sirens blaring, moaning, explosions in the background

Geoff: That doesn’t sound good! I better get going! (Runs off stage and stage goes dark. Moaning intensifies.)

Spotlight focuses on someone new on the stage.

Milla Jovovich: This is Valentine. I am currently at the drop zone. What’s your status....hey...what’s this!? Is this a Smash invitation?

(Zombies Moab in the distance and Alice drops the invitation)

Unknown Voice: What’s this?

(An unknown person walks from the side)

Sienna Guillory: A Smash invitation? Too bad for Alice but only video game characters are allowed. Plus, she has some monsters to go hunt.

(She bends down to pick up a Smash invitation. She looks at the invitation but, from the back of the theater and coming down to the staircases are several clusters of zombies)....

Sienna: Looks like I’m going to need backup.

It’s up to you to continue the reveal? What happens next? How will it Segway into gameplay footage? How is Leon revealed! Please write up a reveal trailer and, once we get enough, we will hold a vote which one we liked best.

Considering there's a new Resident Evil movie coming out, and Jill is being played by Hannah Jon Kamen would it make more sense for her to come on stage?

EDIT: never mind Milla Jovovich plays Alice Valentine, not Jill Valentine.

link to article with casting for the new movie.

Never in a million years that we're referencing the live action Resident Evil movie with the actor who played the main character lmao.

I was just going, as the only person here who watched the Anderson RE movie series in its entirety (pretty decent but not amazing), I only remember her playing the role as Alice, the main character, not Jill.

As for the trailer, do we really need to have Milla Jovovich as Jill for some reason? She doesn't even play Jill in the movies, and referencing the movies in any way seems like an easy path to disappointing RE fans...

If I may suggest an alternative (since a live action appearance works really well in the context of the Game Awards) maybe the actress that plays her in the RE3 remake could play her?

I chose Milla as she is extremely famous in Japan so I would imagine the Japanese audience would go nuts. I didn’t actually fully say she was Jill though it I’m going to edit the post a bit for done wiggle room.

While we wait for Reveal Trailer submissions (if we get one)

Job #79: Submit Two Items from any of the current Franchises

Items are typically broken down into categories such as shooting, battering, status, etc. We aim to include one new item for each category to showcase in our upcoming April Smash Direct. To keep the submissions from eclipsing each other, I decided to limit two items per user with these two items having to belong to a different category. For example, please submit one item in the Explosive category and one in the Healing category. It can be from any of the current series as well as any first-party franchise represented via Stage, Spirit, or Assist Trophy/Pokemon.

Here are the following categories:

Battering (Examples includes Firebar, Home-run Bat)
Explosive (Examples includes X-Bomb, Smart Bomb, Bomb-omb)
Throwing (includes Boomerang, Bumper)
Status (includes Super Leaf, Metal Box, Timer)
Shooting (Includes Ray Gun, Superscope, Staff)
Healing (includes Healing Field, Heart Container)
Hybrid (Includes Evil Ramblin' Mushroom (Shooting/Status), Black Hole, Pitfall Seed, & Beehive (throwing/trap)

I know these aren't the official categories found in the SSBwiki but these are ones that will probably help round off our roster of items quite well. Again, two submissions per user and these two submissions must be from different categories. Please indicate which category these items will appear in, its purpose and what it does, and a little bit why it deserves to be included in Smash along with other iconic items such as the Heart Container, Screw Attack, and Star Rod.

Status: Cape Feather

Gives your character a yellow cape and lets them use the infamous glide ability from Brawl

Explosive: Nitro Crate

A standard, relatively powerful exploding item, with the slight difference that it doesn't need to be attacked or thrown for it to explode - just the slightest nudge, even from an AT, stage hazard or other item, will set it off.

Bonneter

This would be a throwing item.

The Bonneter would fly around casually minding their own business, you can pick one up, you press the A button you will throw it out and after a short distance it will spin in place and you can jump onto them to bounce up into the air. once thrown if hit the Bonneter will not spin but instead deal some damage instead.

EDIT: This was the Wisp Capsule but it was changed due to redundancy

Poseidon Cannon

This is a Shooting item

This is a cannon from Kid Icarus Uprising and this cannon shoots a Three round burst of slow moving Watery projectiles that explode after a few seconds that deal damage and knockback. Charging the shot by holding the A button deals more damage and creates a stream of water that deals a lot of upwards knockback.

Job #79: Items

Ff4flashlight.png

Hybrid (Status/Shooting): Spirit Stone Flashlight (Fatal Frame series)
Introduced in Fatal Frame IV on the Wii, the Spirit Stone Flashlight occurs in two of the series' mainline games. It functions to stun ghosts to walk by them without detection, as well as exorcising them. In Smash, it combines functions from both Fatal Frame IV and V. The flashlight will have two uses: to stun, and to deal damage. However, due to most (if not all) characters in Smash being living beings, it won't have the same effect it does on ghosts. When holding the item, lightly tap A to stun. It will stun any opponent in a short range in front of it. Holding A will cause it to release a burst of damage (but no knockback) when the button is released. However, the opponents won't be stunned very long. They can as always mash out of the stun. Each of its functions gets only one use on account of it being an old flashlight. If both of its uses are exhausted, it becomes a throwable item for a bit similar to Robin's tomes and swords.

Mode_Icon_Rainmaker_Splatoon_2.png

Shooting: Rainmaker (Splatoon series)
One of the ranked modes (and in my opinion, the best) in Splatoon 1 and 2 is Rainmaker. In it, the team must escort a fish shaped weapon to the other team's pedestal. The rainmaker is initially protected by a forcefield, and must be broken by the team in order to wield it. The rainmaker is a slow but powerful weapon capable of impacting a large area. In Smash, it will function in a similar manner. When it spawns, it will have a small shield around it. Once the shield is broken by enough damage, the Rainmaker is able to be claimed by anyone in the game. Once it is held, Hold A to release a large explosion. The shot is decent for hitting opponents that are far away, but up close, you may need more protection. Once it is fired a few times, you'll "run out of ink" and the gun will stop working. In team battles, it is especially reminiscent of the Rainmaker mode, as the wielder is basically defenseless up close without team support.
