Personally, I think we should stick with the Metroid soundtracks, but if we aren't, I have a few tracks I think are good. I don't know how anyone would be able to take songs or music from YouTube, but if anyone does, I'm going to throw these ones out.

Infected Mushroom - Shawkawkaw (Vibe Tribe remix): The intro starts out a bit slow, but that changes real fast, and it ends up being a fast-paced track, something I think could mess with the psychology of our viewers, especially if the clips are going to be like six or seven seconds long capturing the finest of Samus.

Infected Mushroom - Bust a Move: Again, the intro starts out slow, and it sounds a bit like something from the 70's, but the track overall is a very excellent one. The description at the side says, "the album was an experiment in combining psychedelic trance with classical music." I think the best part of the entire track starts around 5:39, and that's where the classical music sound kicks in.

That should be the introduction when it's saying stuff like, "The Samus Board presents -insert name here-, a Samus compilation video." Have some images from the Metroid manga with Samus as a toddler, and then all of a sudden when the video starts showing, mix the music so that it plays Jade Catacombs from OCRemix.

As for the thread topic...sounds like a good idea, but I don't think it'd ever get off the ground. I have an editing program, so I'd be willing to do some splicing and dicing and then give the somewhat smaller clips to someone else who could edit them together. Problem is that I don't have a working recorder, so I'd need to receive clips by direct transfer or some other method that my computer already understands. =/

I would love to see this if it ever got finished.

Well generally, if X character is able to beat Y character 90% of the time, then it would make sense that X has a 90/10 matchup with Y.

I would say that anyone who can submit good footage should get at least a small segment.

undr and i carelessly destroyed my old combo vid footage. there isn't much to my new footage yet, but since my vids sucked so bad anyway, i'd like to throw my new footage to this project
there are a few unique combos and one set that really stands out. since my combo vid was going to be version 4, i intended to take a combo from basic to advanced in 4 clips just before the title screen. i've got these clips
DA-jab-dtilt zair-DA-jab-dtilt DA-jab-jab-dtilt zair-DA-jab-jab-dtilt

currently trying to think of another way to extend that combo (fair to zair? or maybe dtilt to dashing up+b?) or another combo i can do the same thing with. i'll throw what i have together and upload it to youtube sometime soon to give you guys an opportunity to sift through it for something useful

There was a video i saw a bit ago with pikachu mains doing it, it doesnt have to be just one set of "whatever" from you, they had a handful of people, simply showing what **** Pikachu can do.

So the main reason id be against this project is because there are much better things for the samus mains to turn their attention towards. EVEN THE FALCON BOARDS GOT THEIR **** TOGETHER, and are coming up with new, innovative ways to kill.... example:

That being said, we have a tonne of very good combo vids out. I liked Choas', Xyros, Tudors and Sagos.... but still nobody would fear/give a **** about samus because that proves NOTHING. Beating down on ****ty opponents and adding some music doesnt progress her anymore.

Matchup threads go nowhere cause of laziness, negativity or emo-ism. People should be finding out ideal set ups for kills, and what move beats what. I remember G&W vs MK was thought to be even until someone brought the fact Utilt>GW's Dair, and Upb goes through Gw Bair. Which gave people a whole new outlook on the situation.

ill stop rambling, and sorry for any negativity towards the project. But seriously, from the ****ty broiler threads, all the way to the threads that have players ( that get 3-stocked) not willing to TAKE ADVICE, cause theyre "better".... samus boards prove to be moving in the wrong direction.

You don't need to be flashy. Some fellow said my Samus wasn't impressive, but I told him, "I'm not playing to impress." Some aren't flashy and thus appear boring. Play the way you want.
