We'll see how well I do on a non gimmick level next time. But i think I would run the whole match if I were to play him on another level. That's what I did vs Ninjalink's Icees when I played them and it was pretty effective. I get reckless on Yoshi's just because the stage. And the Gimmick on the stage.

And if Pictochat ever gets unbanned I wll Def be doing it there aswell. Oh you didnt know? Holllaaa loll. But yea I never play Meep in brackets. Oct 17th i'll get my chance if I get in his bracket or not. We'll see. If not then Speed will have to take over for me. I trust he'll do just as good or better than me in the match up

Last tournament i played Ninjalink's Icees again for some warm up matches and match up expierience and he saved the matches. Dont know why lol but he'll put them up. I see what you guys were talking about. Gotta play safe.

I'm glad though because later that day I had to play Cheese's Icees in brackets and got a 2 stock on smashville. Played very patient.

You just gotta play DMG Gay Vs. ICs, being aggressive gets you grabbed.

There are more than enough ways to get around Sonic's YI:iSDR gimmick. Just clank with it and beat him with frame advantage. Against most characters Sonic will lose in a clank and his best option is shield.

Not only that, you can punish Sonic OoS from Spindash after the invincibility. Most Sonics when they hit a shield with spindash will auto jump, which will end the invincibility and usually creates an opening for OoS options. Meep, I'd recommend learning more about how vulnerable spindash is to OoS. Pivot grabs are good too, but not spammable unless the Sonic is dumb and always approaches with spindash...which is dumb since it's a bad DIRECT approach. Spindash is used as a punisher, kinda like a Falcon Kick but 93 times better.

We call it a "gimmick" for a reason. Most of the players in my region are well learned of it and know how to handle it. I mean, it's still a good mixup, but YI:iSDR is not a spammable approach.

2. im think im turning into camalange, cus ive been experimenting with battlefield, and i found some pretty cool/goofy movement trixies there.

Mad good right? I'm pretty sure Sonic only loses to Bowser and Snake on that stage. I don't get why people hate it so much.

Sadly it kept showing the same things and there are plenty of parts were it looked like he stuck random parts from matches. Plus the camera tweaking makes it hard to follow at times.

rofl, i couldn't even sit through the first 3 minutes of that boku video. so awful...i'm sorry man, but that's awful. it's a shame ratings are disabled.

honestly, all i see are highlights of him rolling to an edge and charging spindashes, or abusing spring>dair... then killing opponents early who use airdodge as a momentum cancel still. gg. awful players are awful, wifi is awful. even the video quaility, you can't follow any of those intro angles. the clips were dumb and i couldn't follow them for the life of me. i finally realized the reason why he kept showing those clips against that bad MK on frigate was because he timed the guy out, lol. i guess it's the infamous boku rolling he's known for.

keep getting ***** at in person events. wifiscrub.





on the other hand, nice video sonikupo. you seem to have a pretty good idea of watsup when it comes to sonic, shame your stuck in such a meh region and have to settle with wifi. i know it's not saying much, but you are leagues better than boku in both gameplay and video editing. your vids are fun to watch.

At first, when I was watching the Bokuroll vid, I was just mildly disgusted with the vid. THEN I see all of these comments of Boku fans meat riding him and I about barfed. I posted my very own comment on there but I doubt anybody will get to see it since Boku has it set to comment approval. Fail sonic is fail :l

If you're still around, I might upload a video soon for critique since I've got a "landing a kill" problem (I been checking up with Umby's Thread, unactive @_@) and I can't beat this turnip happy Peach player. (Wifi just makes hell more difficult)

I skipped around Boku's vid, and some of the later parts were interesting.

Not as anything to do with Brawl; but I mean, the camera-rotation thing is kinda awesome; I mean, it's pretty epic to see the fights in a way that actually makes them look like cool action scenes rather than the same old 2D fighter. Wish there was a way the 3D-ness was incorporated into the game (visually; NOT affecting the combat engine, 3D gameplay suuucks in general IMO lol).

Well I met him IRL at Apex and he's a mad chill dude. As a person, I have no hate toward Boku, I think he's a good guy.

I suppose the fanboys are what annoy me the most, because in all honesty Boku is very mediocre...however I do dislike when Boku makes new threads all the times for a single Wi-Fi match >_> that gets me.

You make some interesting decisions, but you should learn to ...... walk/run.
Watch, you never move along the ground -- you're always doing something. Mostly by going into the air. Sometimes charging a spindash, sometimes DACUS or dash-attack, sometimes just smashing for no reason. Sometimes you roll.

You should run around. A lot. Just do pivot fakeouts and stuff. Move towards the opponent a bit, then run away, then run back.

Also, just use running as an approach (instead of the air, or spindash). For example, run + shieldgrab, or (one I like): run, hit shield, and jump-cancel the shield into a Fair (you don't have the shield-drop lag, but the initial tap of the shield is if you expect them to attack you at all, then it's a powershield + punish).

I'm guessing what happened is the lag was bad enough that you couldn't move around properly, or at least, couldn't trust yourself to. If this is the case, then the vids aren't worth posting, because they're really unrepresentative of anything. Just IMO.

I do apologize for not having the first match with me against Vidpower. I lost to him on the first match and I forgot to save it. I was pretty mad at myself for killing myself because of spamming all my B moves alot and not knowing how to deal with bananas. Kinzer been helping me out by giving me a challenge to prevent from spamming my B moves by just playing with only normal attack and not using any B moves at all. I had to create a custom controller for that so I won't be tempted to us it at all. Since Kinzer's tournament, I've change my gameplay resulting into the following friendly match at UNLV

s'okay I guess.

But the doubles match reminded me that I have a couple of doubles matches from my last tourney pending. I don't recall anything really flashy but it would finally be nice to actually have doubles matches of me, even if only 4 from the first set in the championship round was recorded (we played 5 matches in the first set. Nothing else from the winner's semi's or the 2nd set of the championship was saved unfortunately).

I hope Omega can get them up, or if I can get him to send the replays to Tails so that he could upload them himself of Omega is busy...
