It's clearly inspired by it, especially the emphasis on in-universe politics and other story related stuff, but this is also the perfect thing to tide over fans who feel alienated by Engage's back to basics story and fanservicey ****

I mean I wouldn’t say unrealistic but I’m focusing on actors from English versions of Japanese media since thats the majority of the present actors. And tbf many of the actors have appeared in Western media like RCS in Regular Show or Colleen with leading rolls in Danny Phantom and Avengers: EMH.

I mean feel free to share if you want, might help me get a better idea of who I think could voice them

When I read them in the comics, and keep in mind this is gonna cover characters you didn't mention, i use a handful of voices from my past to voice certain characters. For Gemerl, I use a kind of filtered version of Phil LaMar's voice that sounds similar to a version I heard online in a comic dub once. I assume Emerl would use the same voice, but I can't be sure because I still haven't played Sonic Battle.

For Tangle, I go with Cree Summer using her voice she used to portray the character... well... Cree, in Codename: Kids Next Door. (Also, keep in mind, a lot of these guys have used the same voice multiple places so it's hard to pinpoint a source for where the particular one in my head came from).

For Whisper I use Hynden Walch because I actually use the entire Teen Titans cast to voice the Diamons Cutters as a whole. Khary Payton doing a more sinister version of Cyborg was the first voice that popped in my head for Mimic the Octopus, and then the rest fell in from there. Scott Mellville as Slinger, Greg Cipes as Smithy (using his voice as Kevin from Ben 10), and Tara Strong as Claire Voyance (though using her normal speaking voice, not her Raven voice).

Rough and Tumble get John DiMaggio (using a voice I specifically remember him using to voice a two-headed mutant ping-pong player on Generator Rex) and Steve Blum (doing this high pitched weaselly voice I have to have heard a hundred times before in a dozen shows) respectively.

Dr. Starline get's Cam Clarke's Liquid Snake voice, I think it just fits him.

I have Surge voiced by Grey DeLisle doing her voice as Sam from Danny Phantom, specifically when that character gets angry and yells she has this real gravely tone to it that I think works for Surge, but it's also a voice with range.

I actually use Colleen O'Shaughnessey for Belle the Tinkerer as well, specifically her doing her voice as Jazz in Danny Phantom. I think it just fits the character.

Jewel the Beetle get's Ashley Johnson because I swear my brain uses her voice in everything and it works for the character.

And finally for the characters you didn't ask about, Lanolin the Sheep get's the voice of Kath Soucie playing Betty DeVille. The performance sounds a lot like another Lanolin (who was also a Sheep) from the cartoon Garfield and Friends, but they're played by different actresses and the one from Garfield is really old.

As for Gamma, Mephelis, and Erazor Djinn... I got no complaints. They haven't shown up in the comics and I don't have any particular voice in mind for them. Richard Epcar in particular fits Erazor Djinn pretty perfectly so cudos.

The rest are a bit tricky because I actually use different voices for Classic Characters than their modern counterparts. Namely the cast of Sonic SatAM for Sonic, Tails, and Eggman; and Knuckles's VA from Sonic Underground. Classic Amy get's Tress MacNeille's Babs Bunny voice. but because of that, these guys would get a different voice (IMO) for their classic counterparts compared to the modern ones. I've always said I want Modern Fang to have the voice of Kano from MK9 and MKX because I've always seen the guy as Australian. But classic Fang, when I read his one comic appearance, needed something younger sounding and less gravely So I used the voice of the main character of the Hulu series Koala Man. I read classic Bean with the voice of Ben Schwartz as Dewey Duck. But modern Bean.... the voice popping into my head is that of Rob Paulsen as Raphael from TMNT. IDK why, that's just how my brain is making that voice mature. Bark the Polar Bear was mute in the IDW comics so if you go that route you could get anyone to do his grunts and exertion sounds. But if you don't wanna go that route... Maybe Kevin Micheal Richardson would work for the character but that's all I got.
