I wonder how Pokemon Unite's going to handle it, because it already has Duraludon and the only NFE Pokemon on its roster are Pikachu, for obvious reasons, and Scyther depending on how you build Scizor.
I don’t know, the fact it got a gmax form makes it seem they finally realized locking cool new forms behind gimmicks that will never return is stupid.

Ngl, I think all three cross gens being from Galar is pretty lame. There are so many Pokemon from other gens that need it, spread the love a little (especially because these Pokemon were only just created). Sandaconda absolutely needs it more than Duraludon and Applin, I'll give it that.

I do agree, as much as I like dipplin, it’s a weird choice for an evolution. Even duraladon was pretty strong without one but I think an evo fits it well when it was raihon’s ace and kinda trash.
To add to this, the nso bulletin did confirm that if mew succeeds in battle, it gets the mighty mark, if you are someone who likes getting those.

I'd like to believe that the variation of the apple and the actualy dip it was dipped (a possible Paldean secret recipe?) in affect its evolution. Alolan Raichu was theorized to have changed based on its diet, and I feel like that is the path this Pokemon is going. It may also be a combination of having to be in a specific environment.
