Also, I'm just suggesting a two day event just because I want this to be like national status, since usually national tournaments use two days to finish their tournaments. I mean, I'm sure this can finish in one day, but it'll have to be rushed.

honestly i don't think we need it to be a 2 day event unless people really want to do crews. We cant do regional either Because not enough people will be coming from from other regions might as well wait for genesis for that one. it's going to be melee only with probably around 100 entrants with enough setups and cooperation from everyone we can get it done by midnight EZ PEAZY NIGG@.

I agree with this post. It would make things much more worth it coming from out of state and such, and for other out of staters.

I agree with having it two days (as I still think it should be), but it just might not be possible for some people =/. I hope they can figure some things out soon before it gets too late!

I'd say a 2 day NY tourney event would be pushing it. If you start on time, and make the brake from Doubles to single like 20 mins instead of 30 mins (which ALWAYS turns into an hour and a half) I say the bracket and grand finals can be over and done with well before midnight, with time for crews.

I don't understand why people WOULDN'T want it a TWO day event?? That just means an extra day to play MELEE ALL DAY LONG, and with the BEST of the BEST here too!

Edit: People from out of state usually come because they think they have a chance at winning money (or, are really dedicated to the game), so the 5$ extra would definitely help in making them travel for this. But in doing so, everyone else must "Waste" an extra 5$ for the top players pockets, so its just up to whatever people want to do in their best interests.

i agree with you, but who else has a shot of winning thats not already coming LOL let's be honest here. i mean if its a 2 day event im pretty sure ill be able to get someone to work for me it'll just be tough because make a lot of money on sundays as a waiter with my sexy charm.

I dnt think so. Most venues although im not sure about toywiz just make you pay the venue fee once even if its a 2day tourny. And since this is getting really big with lost of OOS I think 10.00 for singles should be fine. I mean Mango is coming from Cali and if he wins he probably wants to make a decent profit considering how far he had to travel.

I agree that this would be awesome as a 2 day event, I just don't want to lose crucial players because of it. As long as everyone can make, then great! But if people are coming from Cali, and can't do 2 days, that would be really lame.

As for the 5 dollar, thing...really, i'm pretty sure the finals will be m2k and pc, or m2k and chu, or m2k and azen, etc. etc. The only person that has a chance that is actually traveling far is Mango. So basically everyone would be giving 5 extra bucks for Mango to MAYBE win more money.....not worth it if you ask me. PLUS, a lot of people might just not enter if you raise the fee, which defeats the whole purpose. Just throwing that out there.

one day events are probably in more peoples interest than 2 days though. And think about it, more people will ALWAYS be able to come to a 1 day than a 2 day, not counting if they can just come to either of the days by themselves.
