Well, this is something I think all Snakes could learn from. Ftilt mashing. As soon as an opprotunity to use Ftilt comes along, the ftilt mashing of both hits comes out even if nothing is in range or hit.

Why put yourself in that extra lag if neither hit will make contact with anything.

Since ftilt2 has more range than ftilt1, some people will throw out 2 if they are in danger of getting hit.

NAME SEARCHING IS BACK YEEEEAH :D

I'd like to see your style of Snake be successful against notable opponents before I pass judgement. But Razer did show us that flashy Snakes can be successful.
I used to be really flashy....but \/
razer isn't half as flashy as false. he doesn't jump even half as much. it's just not safe lol
This :( they took advantage of it.
Razer isn't really that flashy. He just has much cleaner [technical] execution that the other US Snakes imo.

False, I think you can become a very successful Snake if you eliminate everything out of your playstyle that doesn't make sense [read: the part that "doesn't make sense" isn't necessarily the "flashy" part ... actually I think a lot of the "flashy" things you do with grenades and C4 are highly effective] like double jump aerials when your opponent can punish it. You'll learn that by playing strong opponents ... I think if you gain that experience you could become one of the best Snakes in the US.

Never hold your shield against marth for too long if he spaces shieldbreak correctly its a shieldbreak also if the marth is very aggressive always keep a nade at hand if your not camping him **** him with tilts and stay away from his tipper range so know the range of his moves, DI out of his dancing blade also breversing your nades can help you land safer like at 3:15 it would of probably saved you from an fsmash not really sure whenever he is on the edge he has very few safe options if he recovers with nair just shieldgrab him don't hold your shield for too long or at all if you know he is going to recover with shieldbreak so when he is on the edge take advantage of the situation and set up nades claymores and c4s where appropiate at 3:29 that was a very greedy move you should of just recovered up high and work on a safe landing if you would of done that you could of probably won that. Very good Snake I didnt Dr.PeePee still played.

Just a recent tourney vid of one of the few snake mains in Utah. Used to be infested but lost them all to meta knight :(
He asked for a couple pointers
he need to use nades... A LOT.
in the first stock that he lose If he use a nade than an airdodge, the explosion would have saved him, 'cause the explosion is weaker than the usmash knockback.
Another thing.. he use a lot the Side-B. in my opinion, that is the worst attack of snake. He should use the nades when the oponent is away and close.. everytime!
The Toon Link matchup is about who throw the first item. nade or bomb. So more nades, less Side B.

i'm not a pro, but.... i think i can help xd
here is my snake if someone can critique it.

You have a pretty skilled snake. Your 1st game was defintely the best. Then again, MVD is known as a pretty skilled snake.
^ Thank you for the compliment, but that's not necessarily what I was looking for :l. Can someone tell me if there's something that I'm missing with my Snake or if I have some habits?

I watched Match 7

First, shieldgrabbing Peach is usually a bad idea
Peach also jabbed you out of your jab cancels a few time, I don't know it that always happens or if you can go faster, but the full jab combo is not bad (14% Fresh)

1:05 - You kept getting hit with turnips? Why lol
2:54/3:48 - Bthrow instead of tech chase, not necessarily bad, but yould have gotten at least 12%, or, at around 0%, Uthrow > Utilt instead of 9%

I liked your Bair OoS kill, that was new
C4 usage and placement is also excellent
Camping was effective, nade cooking was well executed

I'm not too good at seeing deep into things, but there's a few things I saw

I'll do another one later, if you want me to

Sweet, thanks for responding. If you're up to watching another, go for it lol.

Peach's jab comes out on frame 2. I'm not sure how much lag there is/isn't when doing jab cancels, but her jab is a pain to deal with sometimes.

@ 1:05 - well, we were high when we played those matches, and that was probably a horrible timing to try and get invincibility frames. lots of fail on my part, but hilarious.

@ 2:54/3:48 - I oddly enough have no faith in my tech chasing with dthrow, into other dthrows. Normally I try to dash attack, or even DACUS depending on how much stage I'm looking at. If I'm close to the ledge and get a grab, I usually go with throwing them off-stage because I think Snake can force people into making horrible choices.

Although against Peach it isn't as effective if she still has float. But throwing out a fair or something that could horribly gimp them also instills fear into people's hearts, and can make them react times poorly and get them to gimp themselves.

uthrow->utilt is something I do need to implement, I forgot about it.

I definitely agree with shield grabbing Peach being a usually bad idea.

Here's number... . I wasn't gonna do more if you didn't find it helpful, but I'm happy to do more.

I checked, and apparently Jab > Ftilt is a true combo if you hit with the right hitbox of jab. So you might be hitting the wrong spot, even though it usually works.

1:05 was hilarious, especially after the 3rd/4th time.

Then I think you should definitely work on that, Peach has medium rolls, and a Toward-Away GUA, so shield and then react. If they sit there, SH dair OoS is fun.

Now for the next critique! Although I won't repeat general things from before. Don't take it too seriously, your matches were great and you were... handicapped lol

Match 1:

Dash Attack/DACUS right into Peach. You gotta camp your *** off man.

0:20-0:30 - You ran into dair like 3 times, and the one time while she was hitting your shield. You could spotdodge the last hit and then punish, but retreating is probably the best idea.

Nice last kill

Match 2:

Nice match, No major criticisms, I actually struggled to find one lol

0:38 - Niiiiiiiice
1:19 - Wavebounced Nade, nice mix-up, but you can just soft lob it and fight again sooner
Fire Transition: You're in a good position, throw some nades. Laying a mine doesn't help, it disappears as the stage transforms.
1:47: Funny death, although making it back is better than damage.
2:36: There were a few time you could've set off your C4, but it worked out well
3:21: Pivot grab would've been better than DACUS away

You kill in interesting ways lol

I am Hobo.
Just to clarify, my first death was me "autopiloting" the c4 recovery and detonating it as soon as possible instead of waiting to drop lower.

Halfway through game 2 we decided to fair only.
Not bad. The only advise I have for you is that your opponent had some times that you could kill him with an U-Tilt just by waiting on his landingspot
