Why am I not included in a crew when I am the highest on the power rankings?


Chi, where are you getting that I dislike crews? I actually LOVE crews (when they are actually crews and not godkai crews). I'm historically very, very, very good at crews. When Gunpunch took on MI back in 08 I took out 7 stocks, including 2 of Anther's.

BTW Cincinnati got top two in that crew tournament and there hasn't been a legit crew tournament since. MI had nothing on only ONE city of Ohio's....

The problem is its 2 hours for everyone; we have a bigger population down south.

You need to get Juu to start hosting more tournaments and get NEOH to start driving down to Columbus regularly; once Columbus got ahold of a good venue + housing it'd help you guys a bit with driving. I'm sure Cincy would drive up.

I held an impromptu smashfest at my house over Christmas break with less than 5 days of notice and had 20 people here. There are definitely players here.
To Canton from just about everywhere in NEOH is about an hour. They drove an hour to make a smashfest... 2 hours probably isn't that far of a stretch for them for a tourney.

I think we have some ideas on getting tournies up here to strengthen and rebuild our scene..... I was looking into hosting something. Lokii and KB want to host a tourney.

Ohio does need to have more tournies for sure though....

IIRC all the rooms they could use were reserved from after OSI III to now.

Chi, most of those "meh" results were because of the slump that I was going through because I had been playing only Peach for years. I was in the middle of a transitional/experimental period to find and develop another tournament level character. I had cycled through Pikachu, Metaknight, Falco, Snake, Wario, Wolf, and so on. I got pretty decent with all of them as a result, but never really made that important jump with any of them...not to mention the overload it started having on my game and my resulting subpar performances.

I didn't realize placings were an important determining factor for crew eligibility, since we all know placings can be influenced by any number of things...not just that individual's performance. A player's ability to clearly match up with players above them in a match/es should be more important, and I won't even try to be humble about it this time...I do that a lot, and well. Ask Shugo, ask Y.b.M., ask Infern, ask Kel, ask any of them and I'm sure they will tell you that I have what it takes, especially now that my focus is back on just two characters.

I still play with Ohio way more than KY. I'm just here for a job and will be moving back eventually. Fun fact, OS has NEVER lived in Ohio and is power-ranked there.

What's it matter to you anyway? The only way this would affect you is if we did a crew battle and I was on the roster.

^ This. I like crews, but I wish we had regional pride. I just hate draft crews.

@Eddie You misunderstood my point. Placings aren't the end-all-be-all, but I'll be damned if I place someone on the crew that does the same against other people that you play against but has better and more current results. Being on a crew in this sense is a reward for consistency. You are perfectly capable of performing well and you stack up well against the people around you - of course I acknowledge that. But I don't think it's fair to put you on the crew over Sneaky or Luminoth when 1. they've recently been doing pretty well overall results-wise and 2. they match up well (by observation) against the same players that you have a good matchup with.

And before you try to ask about AZ...he has better results period lol

I honestly don't know how AZ is doing in development, atm. Apparently he practices with Moose and Quivo when he can (when he's here), but I haven't seen him literally since the last OSI. Not even sure if he's working MLG this weekend in Columbus (but probably).

I do recall wanting to be on the crew battle list (though my tourney results.. aren't consistent..)but whatever.
