Gameplan: Force a jump using one of a plethora of setups. Uair pressure him until he's used his second jump. Force a setup where he lands using one of a plethora of setup options. Punish Landing the way only IC's can via IB/DSG combo. Profit.

That's the gameplan I use on every new matchup that I haven't played before. Generic but effective if it's not like, Olimar or Diddy. Or peach. Or Rob. Or snake. Or TL. Or ummmmmmmm yeah.

Just read it as "Gameplan: Force a jump using one of a number of setups."

Although Ikes are usually not going to jump anywhere within range for you to just uair without getting hit with an aerial first.

Assuming you're using a setup correctly, it's Jump or Die situation for them. I hope they don't jump within range of getting Uaired because that means they're getting IB DSG'd

IMO if you combined Kakera and 9B you would have a perfect IC player lol.

I know which is why I think the IC boards are absolute bull**** nowadays.

The more people post and suck their own ****, the better they are in the eyes of everyone who mindlessly reads posts and results without critically analyzing them. I remember when results were everything, and talk used to be cheap. Nowadays it's the opposite.

To be fair, I post a lot. But I preface everything with "I am bad so don't listen to me."

People just continually ask for more from me. It's not my fault. I just gotta get them the goods while the getting is good.

Both extrema are bad and one who subscribes to either extreme should feel bad.

Just leaning towards one or the other exclusively is just limiting oneself. There are those who don't place very well but know what they're talking about, and there are those who place very well but couldn't tell you a dang thing about what they just did, or just don't care to tell what they just did. There are those who post a lot and it's all fluff and no meat and there are those who post a lot and and every single post has meat to it. There are those who never post and do well and there are those who never post and don't do so well and a million other variations of these qualities and these variations occur for a variety of reasons unique to the individual case. So just going "lol don't listen to this guy he has not results" is dumb. Likewise going "lol this guy posts a ton he must know what he is talking about" is also dumb.

TL;DR: Just going by results or just going by posts to determine importance or value is dumb, don't do it.

Can we give the op to someone who will update it at least occasionally?

Because it isn't much of a resource right now with all this mostly outdated stuff.

The biggest problem I saw was that you didn't punish the dolphin slashes. He threw out a HELL of a lot of DS. Make sure to capitalize on the fact more often. Your CG's are really basic and won't really hold you up for very long, make sure you work on them.

Just some basic, general **** right now. Too /lazy to write up more.

Some basic Tech Stuff:

Don't do the Fair or Fthrow CG startups. It's almost always better to use Dthrow.

You really should learn a Bthrow transfer at the very least so that you can turn around and fthrow walk the other way if you're determined to Fthrow CG people. Most people like to CG people in place, but I can see the merit of Fthrow walking people.

Minus weird situations, don't go for the NFair spike to kill people.

What is the French stagelist? I try not to repeatedly counterpick the same levels that I just lost on twice.

In terms of gameplay thoughts, I literally said, "If this guy knew how to CG, he's be really freaking good." So maybe you should try amending the tech part of your game, and then get us an update video/results.

I came across these vids and figured it wouldn't hurt to post 'em here. Apparently 9B is a skilled Japanese Ice Climbers player. If there's no number, it is because it's a single match or I don't know the order of the set (the videos are in Japanese text).

I often miss my CGs when I feel stressed.

At very low %, I DThrow to Fair to regrab because it racks up damage very quickly, and I can have more time to chaingrab after that.
I know how to BThrow, but I often fail my CGs against a player (I have no problems with a CPU).

And I tried to spike him out of a chaingrab because he was mashing extremely quickly and I though he will not be able to DI that Fair, and I didn't want to fail my BThrow.

The stagelist was :
Starters : DF, BF, SV, YI, Lylat (Wtf? Why not PS1?)
And the counterpicks sucks for the Climbers.

He banned DF, and SV is Leon's favorite stage, so I prefered to go on BF (AUA <3).

Sooo, I know I must work on my CGs (I would have 2-0 Wario's Glutonny if I didn't miss that ****ing CG on the last stock (second match) ; and I lost 1-2 -_- ).

Thank you guys, and sorry for my bad english!

First of all, you need to learn to reduce the effect of a match's stress on your playing. It took me a couple tournaments to do this. Finally got over it after I lost a money match that I knew I had in the bag. I said **** it, this **** isn't losing me money again. Won my money back +$1 the next day.

You will definitely get over the shakiness that comes with a tough match with money/reputation on the line. It will just take some time. Remember to breathe normally and control your heart rate as best you can.

And just so you know, he was most certainly not mashing "extremely quickly." There were definitely times he could have mashed out had he been mashing optimally.

Learn to do the bthrow past the nerves. Practice it more, because being able to cg in place is important, especially if you grab them on a small platform. If you can do the fthrows in game, you can do bthrows. Just practice.
