Gregs you need to camp, your match would've gone a lot better if you were to sit back in laser rather then trying to attack him up close in certain situations.

Remember that whenever marth is running at you it takes him a while to put up his shield, that gives you a free dash attack and f tilt.

also remember that the only CG that works is a buffered run, not BPG. You had the opportunity to get 20%+ on him but missed it.

I am, idk who I'm gonna use in the tight situation though, both my sheik and falco are pretty legit. Hopefully I won't HAVE to go to falco cause I'm definitely trying to rep sheik and Ganon like a beast.

So thats what roy was doing on his trip to columbia lol... i didnt know he played smash there

anyways i usually dont give out advice here but since i play roy a lot here in houston i can help you out.

first stock you kept up the pressure well till you rolled toward him where he started gaining momentum. never roll towards marth or spotdodge, always roll back.
also recover onto the edge instead of stage, hard habit to develop but important.

u tried spacing nair against marth, i never space any aerials against marth cuz he can outspace us/ upb OOS... falco's Ftilt, dash attack grab jab and lasers are the best tools vs marth.

i think you need to upsmash out of shield more. you had some oppurtunities. after marth does his 3rd dancing blade hit you can upsmash Out of shield and also if marth misspaces fair on your shield you can upsmash OOS i saw you couldve done that in the video.

you still did extremely well and im impressed

Yeah, Roy_R visited his original smash community in Barranquilla, Colombia and I got to play with him several matches. Thanks for the advice, I'll keep those points in mind.

Well that's it for videos. I need to work on my recovery, want to practice lazer recovery and mix it in and stop relying on phantom recovery so much. Need to work on shDl. Can you DI while doing shdl? I need to see some good vids of shdl in action.

Working on the "correct version" of spiking at the moment. Where your near the edge you dash after dgrabbing at the end of a chain grab then follow up with a jump then dair. I'm having problems either missing the jump completely and just doing a dash attack, or I wont be quick enough to di the jump and I'll just jump straight up into the air.

I've been told falco isn't good off the edge so yeah.

Any other things I need to work on please point them out to me. Notice that I posted the videos in chronological order.

@Acton: Don't upsmash at low percent unless u do the gatling combo (dash attack into upsmash). Laser and grab more.

@LashD: Learn the chaingrab, short hop double laser and instant aerial illusion

@Arikie: Fsmashing snake isnt a good idea, instead just get them in the air and bair them. its much safer. also up close jab is really good and safe

oh, i do that all the time now. i didn't even know it was considered an advanced technique. i just involuntarily did it one time and now i do it regularly lol.

Burn use fsmash less as a killing move, try to use usmash more at over 115%ish.

If you cant use SHDL, use SHL, falco is supposed to be a camper your kinda to aggro with him.

Try to go for the grab more, if not for the cg just use it to refresh your other moves like usmash

Your recovery is not bad, most falcos including myself have a bad habit of constantly phantasaming onto the stage after recovering. . . well not most falcos but some.

You did the lazer recovery which is nice.

i noticed you came down on the metaknight a lot with down airs. they got shielded most of the time then you got grabbed.
