Yeah, a good ZSS is annoyingly hard to approach since her ForwardB and Downsmash are just stupidly safe. You really have to be ready to powershield those.

Luigi does have a good glidetoss length, but only on the backwards roll.

Luigi can glide toss forwards...It leads to alot of set-ups against certain characters..Glide toss-grab/pivot grab if they block, glide toss-upb (some characters need to be jabbed first) glide toss-****, etc...So many possibilities

Mario can only glide toss backwards though...Doesn't really matter since he doesn't go anywhere


I've pulled my Luigi out in touney against top-tiers mostly...You can upb D3 out of the chaingrab

Mario's glidetoss imo is more useful than Luigi's against Diddy actually since the shorter distance is more practical as far as close range pressure/spacing tactics go. At least Flameleon uses Mario's glidetoss with really good results against Diddy.

Luigi's glidetoss against Diddy is either defensive or for long range setups into F-smash.

In order for Luigi (or Mario) to glidetoss in the same direction he is tossing an item, you have to roll and throw the item backwards, and the backwards item toss for Mario and Luigi is fairly laggy, so in other matchups besides Diddy, it's not that practical.

i go luigi every match, but if i lose to a marth or MK, regardless of how close it is, i'll CP, because 10/10 my CP can mess them up.

I think falco is probably luigi's most pragmatic pick for a secondary. He covers luigis bad matchups and stages quite well.

I finally settled on diddy and donkey kong as my second and thirds. I really only use donkey for marth, mk on brinstar and norfair, and anyone on japes or luigi's mansion. But at tournaments when I ban cruise, I become pretty much impossible to counterpick. It's almost like I play metaknight

Im always weegee in serious matches, never gonna get better at your bad matchups if you use a secondary on em .

I might dabble with a few other characters sometimes though...i have no real secondary :/

Basically he has to be grabbed a little bit off the edge

Marth has to edgeguard after but Falco's recovery isn't too good so it's easy

l was thinking of wario imo or Snake. Anything with a GOOD jab game to me, is a auto win. Snake's jab is so legitly broken too, Falco's Jab is similar fashion and it's sooooo sexy esp with jab locks lol.

but using falco takes up ALOT of tech skill time in training mode since he needs to be mastered in the fullest to give you more options/mindgames. Fancy falcos imo are so win lawl.

YoshQ, there's only one part wrong with how that convo went: The fact that you asked him for advice, then rejected it.

Asking for advice is great. I do it all the time, because you can't walk the long road alone. Advice from other people opens up different views and expands your vision of the game, which can lead to a smarter and more adaptive playstyle, which means you get better insanely fast.

He gave you completely legit advice: Don't roll into Marths. If Marth isn't punishing an aggressive roll with a d-tilt or grab, then the Marth sucks. Plain and simple. We aren't constantly telling you this to **** on your playstyle or make you feel bad, we're telling you this because when you play a legit Marth and get punished and ***** every time you press R+left or right, we want you to have another strategy to be able to still give a fight.

You're known for your unique playstyle, and it's fine. But there are some things that just won't work, regardless of how you play it. Rolling a Marth is one of those things. Uchiha is a super chill guy, he's awesome, but his Marth? Not so much. I don't know much of Xisin, but if he's average at best, he'll still **** the pants off you offline if you roll into him.

I may be blunt when I say stuff like this, but quite frankly, if you don't listen to what I'm saying here, or what every other Luigi who has felt Marth's **** has said, you'll probably regret it when you get two/three stocked out of a tournament by a legit Marth.
