omg I met kita at a tourney in Vegas

OMG. so I went to a tourney in Vegas =o *on vacation*
AND I MET KITA D= IT WUZ AWESOME ^_^

so heres how I did =o *curtesy of Ninty's Pictochat system*

1st Match: VS Snake. won 2-0. it wasn't a very good snake :/

2nd Match: Vs Snake. lost 2-0 D: I brought him to 1 stock each time tho =o

3rd Match: VS lucario. won 2-0 .I won 1st one by default: Time out lolz

4rd Match: VS Pika who switched to DK the other 2. won 2-1. I lost to DK on LM :/

5th Match: VS KITA =o. lucario dittoez. won 2-1. I won the 2nd one only cause gingah had loud music and kita got distracted D=.

6th Match: VS VJ [used Zelda/Shiek & kirby] I lost 2-1.
I fvcked up mah ES curves D= *grrrrrrroooooowwwwwwwwwllllllzzzzz*

Finished 13 outta 47

Then Kita & I tried doublez =D Double Lucario

1st Match: VS double MK :/. we lost 2-0

2nd Match: VS Pit/Wolf & lucas. won 2-0 :D

3rd Match: VS Wario/D3 & D3. lost 2-1 lol I was DDDcided last match. then kita was chaingrabed-Fsmashed to death by Double D3s D=.

Finished 9th outta 17


I had to buy & Break in new controller though <.< so the 1st few were kinda hard
But considering this was my 1st Offline Tourney i think I did good. =D
and yes did Lucario only the whole tourney

Theres not a counter for everything in the game, you know. Some things you just have to take the beating and proceed with the match when they're done. :D


Such is the case sometimes with Dedede's chain grabs.

Depends on your damage and his. If you're in the air and hit by the first it's likely that you can't escape the rest. I supposed the best you can do is try to DI away, but that may put you at risk of not being able to recover in time.

Best answer: don't let lucario hit you in the air. :D

I was thinking for example characters like Marth or maybe even Mario. They could be able to Up-B out of the combo (although remaining problem is getting to the ground).

That was me! ...I think.

Fair --> Fair does not combo into Dair, at that point, it's just a string.

Fair --> Fair
Fair --> Nair
Fair --> Dair
Fair --> Upair

That doesn't make sense to me... if fair combos to fair, and fair combos to dair, then as long as your positioning is correct, you should be able to use fair -> fair -> dair in certain situations.

The second Fair tends to knock the person out of range and at an upward trajectory, making the Dair's chance of hitting not so likely... Although there are few things that feel better than Fair pwning people off the edge.

Well I wouldn't say that fair -> fair -> dair is a bread and butter or anything, but depending on the opponent's damage, your damage, and your opponent's weight, it can combo.

Not combo as in, fair -> fair always leaves the opponent open to dair, but as in, "under the right circumstances, they can't escape it"

No, Fair --> Nair works just about all the time. Same goes for Fair --> trash talk, Fair --> awkward phrase ("I ruff you"), and, of course, the "john even though I'm winning" combo.
