I was kinda hoping that this would be more like a teams matchups comparison to show how differently a particular singles matchup can be in teams.

But oh well.

not gonna lie puff is probably the best teammate. she can save you and be safe. doesnt get gimped. grab to rest can turn **** around. she can also play pretty evasive and gimp accordingly.

best chars in teams hmm
fox/puff
sheik
falco/peach
marth/falcon
then i really gotta think. ice climbers are ok in teams but imo are worse in teams than singles due to all the stuff going on in teams. mad easy to hit and kill nana.

btw darksonic me and roy vs you and raistlin needs to happen again. are matches are crazy wish we recorded our sets. you guys are too good :D

Falco doesn't get enough love in teams. I'd say he's in the top 4 at least, his crap recovery doesn't matter as much, lasers are great and can save teammates, and he can still combo like a boss.

falcon is pretty good in doubles IMO, he is just so good at saving/comboeing.

But the BEST team is Jiggs/Fox or Fox/Fox Like EPsilon said.

Fox is stupidly good in doubles.

I agree fox-jiggs is the way to go.

Who would be a good complement to a team with peach?

What would be the best matchup to take on a fox-jiggs team?????

I'd say Captain Falcon, mainly because of the Knee. Falcon gets the kill and Peach edgeguards to finish it off. Peach down smash ***** space animals which **** Falcon.

Or Sheik (Aniolas & ARmada).

I think Falco is extremely underrated as a teams character, and I think Falco/Sheik is definitely one of the best teams in the game.

With both characters having projectiles, combos can be broken up consistently, saving each other via refreshing their up b's with lasers, to being able to harass the other person edgeguarding your teammate from across the stage is just too good.

Sheik grab Falco Dtilt is pretty much just like grab Usmash with Fox.

If the Falco is technically sound, he can go very aggro and be protected from retaliation from Sheik, who is the ultimate assist character.

He doesn't have to though, he can just sit back and shoot lasers to interrupt random things which also can help cover Sheik's weaknesses in teams sometimes, like her tech chases not being as good, or her edgeguarding being interrupted. Falco's there to just laser and wall the opponent from stopping Sheik, and sheik can do the same thing with needles.

Both characters have amazing bairs which can help fending off an opponent who's trying to save his teammate.

There's just so much potential for that team and I don't think it's been reached yet.

Jigglypuff's rest is legit broken in teams. Hands down the best move in doubles.

M2K, have you ever tried using Marth instead of Fox against Jigglies? I mean I'm sure you have, but I only ever remember seeing you lose one game to Mango with your Marth, and I feel he does much better in the matchup (at least defensively) than Fox. So yeah, it's 3 AM and I'd like to get your thoughts on the Marth vs. Jiggs match up. :D

Fact: Marth's Fthrow/Dthrow chain grab mixups on Jiggs are the sexiest thing in Melee.

If mew2king focusd a bit less on camping and a bit more on kind of chilling below them limiting their options and waveshielding for openings like MaNg0 does in the matchup, he'd beat hbox. Just gets a bit too focusd on lasers sometimes, and has problems maintaining control of the middle of the stage because of it.

Mew2king, you need to beat hbox next time. Study them money matches :>

Master Hand is the ultimate stock tank so he is not as bad as he normally is when he has a partner.

a fox/zelda team just won teams yesterday

alot of characters are great in teams and i still think fox/falco is the best team and will destroy double fox and fox/puff

M2K tried both Marth and Fox vs Hungrybox at Winterfest.

His Fox did significantly better.

In my experience Fox and jiggz **** in teams. Jiggz + Sheik is a pretty good team as well, because theyre both broken and annoying. I really like Ganon in teams, because he doesnt discriminate who he attacks. He literally kills everyone.

id say if m2k plays marth how we know he's capable of playing than he can beat hbox's puff.

also he beat hbox yesterday in WF's

just randomly asking, anyoen got any suggestions for marth/fox teams? is the fox aggro with a def marth? not quite sure.
