I have my first tourny of 2011 this weekend of next weekend. And it is a tournament I am hosting.

Not to sure how I would do. I said I would beast for 2011, but I have said that many times, and peep my results. I am not sure how I am gonna go about this.

Just do your best man =/ a lot of times when people have that"OH YEA IMA GO IN THERE AND **** UP SOME PEOPLE." Mentality they do fairly poor just have that "ima go in here try my best and do my thang thang" entality or...just dont give a **** either way the second and third need to be how you think.

One of my problems with TX is that one could know nothing about me. But some fool might start some **** and that person will just jump in and hype it up. And it gets annoying.Thats all they have ever done. Eben when I dont say anything. Apex was just the worst.

I might be cool with about 5% of that state.

I always hype up my GA boys, even if i don't know what's going on.

Same applies in TX, and most of the south really.

Um...one of our country's most solid, campiest, all-around very good (commonly placed top 5 in NJ) players just moved over there, loses to two very good aggressive players (Leon and Mr. R that I know of, and yes I know they're Marth mains, my point still stands), and you still expect me to simply write it off because "aggro wouldn't work over here"? No way.

I don't know about other people, but I learned my lesson after Genesis. I was skeptical about Armada doing well and almost wrote the possibility off on the basis of "Euro's scene is probably not any good for him to be doing so well with Peach, something the States haven't done in years" like a lot of people did, which would damn near be the equivalent of me thinking "well Yami wouldn't do so well over here because what he does wouldn't work". I'm glad I didn't. How would anyone know that for sure? Anything can happen.

yami's spacing could be a little better, like ill said he could do silly stuff like 4 fairs in a row or using GF nair as an approach less, he could make safer choices at times. i'm not knocking him, he is probably the 2nd best in europe although i dont know all their players. and i'm not saying he's not as good as leon because he plays flashy and leon doesn't, i'm saying he isn't as good because he ISNT AS GOOD. imo.

europe's metagame is vastly different from ours and aggressive play is rewarded there, which is why peach is higher on their tier list and she is thought to be a pretty good character. i do NOT think that aggressive style would do anything over here but be destroyed by the best players. i am imagining atomsk's ddd vs. an aggro euro peach. it just would not work.

Im very disappointed in this. If you'd watch Leon's Peach closer, you would notice that Leon's Peach is not even that aggressive at all. Nor is the European metagame btw, I thought the Europe = only flashy, aggro was over already.

i generally agree with this

i dont think its that bad

MK definitely wins no doubt in my mind, which is why i dont pick up a secondary or something. (dont get me wrong im under no delusions mk da bess :awesome:)

but i think the mu is closer at high level than people think. neutrals its 55:45, cps are like 6:4ish iunno

one good read from marth literally can just turn the entire game around, tippers are broken and grabs are very rewarding. ntm he ***** nado soooo badly

the only reason i dont think its even (cough like every other mu LOLOLOL) is the offstage game. but even then mk takes damage getting back- and gets ledge pressured

I dont think I can go to pound anymore. today is the last day to reg. And I don't have a ride. Now if anything, I would have to take a bus there (as usual traveling alone with no help) but I don't have a place to stay. Now I can't risk my cash to go and I dont have the other stuff figured out.

If dark wants a room he needs to go to the thread and make posts. Plank is already dealing with smashers being late with registration lol.

As for getting there just take the Megabus. The thing has wifi on it

Its not gonna cost me much. To get there from NYC and entering singles is about 75. I get back 15 for bringing a set up, so really 50 bucks. If I could get a ride it be cheaper but none helps me out in this state.

I just need some kind of housing and a pick up/drop off going and coming back to NYC.

Ok, ether way it might be too late for me. hotels are like 95 a nite. My chances of going are pretty lame. That hotel room price is ****ing me over. The most people that can be in a room is 4. so that is about 23 bucks from each person a nite. In my current situation I can't be burning that much cash. Cause I have no ride so have to bus it. then pay for the tourny. I can't burn so much. All that is a lil over 120.

I might have to let this go. I can't risk it. I'm trying to think of something to make this work, but not looking good.

Right, everything is free for me but that plan ticket which I can deal with. I might let pound go just for this.
