This was interesting to read lol. I has a question for you guys and girl or 2 lol. When I joined the smash communtiy I never pictured it meet so many different people. I've had so much fun playing and traveling. But I stopped and thought to myself in the shower last night I won't be playing smash forever. Is there any smashers or fellow peach mains you think you will be talking to as a long life friend. Even after you finally stop playing and coming here? For me as of now my few I'm thinking are Dark, Peachkid, White Peach, and my WATO crew. People I know for sure are Mikey L and Hiroi. I can't add Lady Legion cause she is my best friend for years and forever.

I can see what you mean, Kyon. I've been thinking of the same for a long time, actually. I mean, it isn't like I'm the youngest of us all, and have been around since Melee. We all aren't going to be into playing competitively for all of our lives, fun as it may be, and probably even less of traveling. But... there's some bonds made with people that will last for much longer than just Smash.

Just a few of the people I can immediately think of that I'd still talk to would be Judge, Ankoku, Samurai Panda, Peachkid, Kyon, White Peach, IrisKong, and MC. Just a few of my dearest friends in the community, and not in that order, either. I'm always happy to make more friends, just like I'm always happy to talk with everyone. However... we're all not getting any younger, and our lives can lead us down different paths at any time. I'm glad to know that people I'm talking to, even now still, will hopefully be in my life longer than just when I'm playing Smash.

I wish I could talk with you people forever, but I don't have the means of communications besides smashboards D: Plus, I basically just started talking on smashboards, even though I've been playing competitively since I was 10

Even though I'm 14 right now, my smash career is slowly declining... My parents are now stricter than ever now that I go to the #1 high school in the country, and I need to keep my grades up. They've already taken action for me not playing wifi, and I doubt I can go to any tournies for a while. Sadly, thanks to wifi, brawl has become a camp fest, and its not as fun as it used to be.

Anyways, I HOPE I can still be an obsessed brawl player for at least 5 more years or so, at least until factors in my life start affecting how much I play

Oh lawd yes I met some of my closest friends through smash (and boyfriend) I could def name of five people (besides Alex) I'll ALWAYS talk to as they are my good/close/best friends Haley (teczero), Jaden (Vanz), Randall (NinjaLink), D1 and Frankieee (Snakeee) I never really worry about that because I know they'll always be around and have been for years and even if they moved I'd still talk with them (actually Frankieee did cause he's at college and we still talk all the time). And these are friends that I can always hang out with outside of smash and have the best of times.

Oh wow, what a interesting topic.

From my point of view, I believe Smash is just another way to meet people in your life. Luckily, through smash I made some really good freinds and I'm pretty sure they are going to stay for a while. I know Kyon will be in my life for a very long time, and with smash I was able to become closer with people in my life. My friend Alberto (321BOOM) and I became closer through smash, as well with Andrew (PUNK9). In addition, I think I'll continue to talk to some Peaches, like Airgemini, more since we allready have a good relationship ^-^'. I cant really add Angel (Dracono44) since he is my best friends for years and I plan to be best friends with him for the rest of my life. <3

A large number of friends I talk and meet with normally also play Smash. The community is generally really friendly and tight, so it's good for getting to know people.

Also, it's always really a point of amusement for me when people wonder what my gender is. Yes, I don't tell because I like to mess with people. ^______^

I never actually thought about it cause with my experience, I don't get to know people long or hang out with them. I had a few smashers that I talked alot with. But now we don't. It could be cause they moved on to better things or I am nothing like their average friends they have more fun with. I so I am ether left on the side or we just don't talk anymore.

High school was the same thing for me. I had a **** load of friends and we did everything as a group. Wether it was going to the arcade, chinatown and playing yugioh or any game lounge, hang out and play some handball, draw, etc. After we were all done with High school, all that ended. I hardly heard from them. and when I asked to do something fun, they ether lazy or just have their own fun in their lives to have it with me. I really don't have any friends in NYC to do anything with. Only time I am with a group of people is when I am at a tourny. Other than than, I am usually alone with no friends or girlfriend for that matter to do anything with. My weekends are lame and my social life fails in general. I live in a kick *** city and can't even abuse it. I know people in crappy states that dont even come close to being as godly as NYC having more fun then I do.

So from my experience, I tend not to hold my breath. I remember when I first met Peachkid. He was like a lil brother. And I helped that boy become a beast. We talked alot. Now its like........nothing. Just some kid I know who I hardly talk too. I'll be friends with people but then again try not to get to attached to them cause of things like this. I don't feel like goinmg through more of that. ever since I became 18 and was able to do things freely on my own, I was never able to abuse it as much as one can and get the rewards from it. The way I see it for me, being alone and lack of a social life is better then me trying to get close to people and start one.

To put in in simple terms fromwhat I am saying here, I really dont have any friends.
