It was a tough choice between Japanese and Chinese but I am quite sure I'm more interested in Japan (sociologic and cultural topics seem to be more interesting) and in the Japanese language (three kinds of characters <3). Gonna be fun next year!

I don't think you should be picking turnips at all, but instead be focusing on Banana's and throwing them back.

So Vinnie and Illmatic inspire me to play peach. I'm going to try picking her up. She does good vs wario right? Are there any other matches that Peach is good at? And what should I start with just picking her up, I've used her on wifi a bunch so I kind of know the basics and I learn fast :3

She does VERY well versus Wario, and I'm really excited that you want to play her.

If you want to learn her really fast while still picking up tricks and tips, I suggest reading my "Advancing Peach's Metagame" thread and go on from there.

She's a really technical character, requires a lot of momentum and stamina, but doesn't benefit from hard reads too well. Definitely a fun choice, though.
