They're focusing more so on metagame stuff. Like they're working on re-doing the MU chart currently which has taken months because they took knowledgeable people from all characterboards and had them discuss all the matchups again in waves. They recruited non BBR people (like me when the project first started) as well. They're working on other stuff but for right now they're working on long term, huge projects like that.
The MU chart is a waste of time, and if the BBR is focused on other projects like that... Then the BBR just wastes time.

Congrats on getting in though.

@Gio's pornstar post.

...I know it's only a matter of time before that happens to me.

Also, I hear the next BBR mu listing is actually releasing in depth discussion of each mu. I hope that is the case. Because just throwing out a bunch of arbitrary numbers that everyone is going to disagree with (like they did last time) is useless.

@Gio: lol pornstar.

Madoka is only good if you don't care about series' being good.

I kinda have to agree that the BBR w/o the rule deciding is a bit sillier than it used to be. If they can actually put out some really lengthy quality analysis of each (at least major) matchup in a way that can actually help people at the mid level to better their game, then that would be awesome. Otherwise, I don't really see the point in a matchup chart. Also, the BBR should totally make a global ranking system. I know the idea's been flying around a lot, but nothing's ever been heard of about it. Anyways: 'grats Tech, and have fun there.

There actually is a "global" ranking system in place for brawl right now. I just don't think the bbr are the ones heading it. Also, the drama in the bbr thread last night kept me very entertained. n_n

Yeah the new MU chart is going to be re-done so much better. It won't be just numbers being tossed out..summaries and stuff will also be included. That's about all I can say about it but that was already known. lol

But I just wanted to join so I could gain more insight/info on the game and become a better player while helping my community out.

Also that thread is hilarious right now. It's a battleground essentially lol

I don't get what you mean about Madoka.

This needs to be repeated.

I mean something along the lines of: If you want a series to be good as a series, then Madoka is not good. If you just care about a series being somewhat interesting and a reasonable distraction of time, and or having good episodes, or idividual arcs, then Madoka can be viewed as good. But if you cared about a series being a complete work that is good, then Madoka doesn't deliver.

Goddamn it, SCOTU. You've said what I've been trying to say about Madoka for like... ever since the last two episodes or so happened and I was like: '... what?' It's also why I said that Level E was the best thing to come out of that season.

So I'm getting kicked out from where I am from..which is coming at a horrible time because my job is slow and my hours have been docked. The only option I have is to move out to Macomb Township...which I really don't want to do. Not really sure what to do or how this will effect my ability to T.O....I'm going to stay as active as I possibly can....but...things are getting out of control now. Anyone who knows my situation with my roommate shouldn't be too surprised. Strangely enough, this doesn't even affect me. I can't really take any more of this anyway. But yeah if you don't see me on the boards as much you'll know why.

Also thank you SCOTU.

Oh, I see what you mean. Yeah, I can agree with this to an extent, but I actually enjoyed Madoka as a series, and I'm really looking forward to the movies.

Hope it works out soon for ya
This happens to me a lot. Its okay though, I'm 23..I'm a big boy and I can make it through this. I have been through far worse than this. I was homeless for a period of my life as well I guess I just need to go into "Survivor Mode" again. But I won't let that stand in between the community I love. I can pull this off.

After a quick look at that thread, along with being pointless, the BBR is also an old boys club.
You read my post!

I could have gone a lot further about "personal standards" because I know a lot of gossip involving some higher powers (MW:W power baby) buuttttt I don't wanna get IP banned, lol.

Also, good luck T_C, and congrats on making the BBR.

The main factors into getting into a Backroom are based off of how much you contribute to your community.

I serve MI as its main Brawl TO and one of the people responsible for reviving it (couldnt had done it alone though)

I serve the D3 boards as its main source of metagame advancement information....I've done a lot for them.

I serve the community as a whole as a member of the Ruleset Committee.

And then other factors play a role. I have "eh" tournament resuls but have so much that I've contributed and a good rep that its helped me a lot.

Kain for example may not be as active with community as I am but his amazing tournament performances and his knowledge about his character (he does contribute too from what Ive seen) help him too. And people (from what I see) have a positive view on Kain. I do as well. :)

Everyone usually has several credentials in several areas that they can use but it seems like everyone has that ONE thing that they should get an "A" for lol. Then there are some people who just excel at all the categories the BBR look for.

But there's no one criteria that gets you in essentially. They dont give you a reason of why they accept you unless you ask. One of admissions people said in public that one of the reasons he voted for me was the fact I was in URC. But obviously most applicants cant use that specifically since we're a small council.
