Only character I could play decently in brawl is Meta Knight since MK ***** with out of shield attacks, they come out so fast and feel lagless. Things like shuttle loop oos, mach tornado oos, everything he does is **** and lagless. But every other character I'm bad with.

The first match was only 55 seconds long, haha. I still enjoyed watching the whole set. M2k's marth and shiek are ****ing amazing. M2k matches are like ****ing combo videos, so exciting to watch. Look how m2k ***** this falco.

My name is Derek and I live in Surrey. I have been playing melee for a few years and cant seem to find any good players at all besides from my brother who is only decent. I have asked every person I know if they think they are good and expectedly owned them.
I realize, from my lack of of competitive play, how behind the game I am. Even though I can drillshine a Marth around a stage, I only expect nothing more than wavedashes from the actual Marth player. And although I can pull off some sick shine combos with Falco and effectively pillar with both the space animals, I have no real experience playing against a good Fox and facing shine spikes.
I'm hoping that I can find some good players who are able to show me how good at the game I really am. I don't expect to win every match but don't expect to lose every match either. I'm looking forward to playing against anyone, whether it be friendlies or money matches. (I do prefer friendlies right now, but a money match will ensure that no one's sandbagging against me)
So if anyone would like to smash, please tell me. I'd be happy to have you guys come over to my house, or go to your house if you are willing.

Welcome to the BC smash community. I am pleased to meet you! People such as you help keep the community alive. We are semi large group at the moment and we often have daily events. You happen to live in the middle of the action. Smashfests take place within Simon Fraser University near Surrey Central Skytrain station. Weekly events are hosted at the University upstairs on the 3rd floor in games room found near the entrance of the library. I will give you a link to the thread so you know when the next upcoming event is. Look for posts made by unityole, he is the person hosting these melee events.

One event where we are paired up against an opponent our level and the outcome of the match is recorded and put up on a site(more complicated than this but I won't go into detail). We call it stats, stats make us more competative, gives us more practice with different players and determines our rank within BC. Welcome to the community dude. You've definetly come at a very good time. Our smash community somewhat died down around the time brawl was released but we have since then perciveered and made a dramatic comeback. There are alot of new faces in the smash scene today and it makes me so happy to see that the competitive scene for this game in the greater vancouver has continued to expand over the years. Also, I must warn you... this particular region you live in has MANY skilled players. I'm sure you're allright at the game and I don't want to take away any of your confidence or merrit, but some of the players in this region (Blunted_Object10, Diakanos, dieslow, etc.) are just about on par with the best players in the world. I'm allright too =]

So far, it *****. Lots of new stuff I'm learning. There's 7 weeks of paid training and I'm on my 4th day of work. There's alot of nice people in my class too. I currently work 3:30-11:30 which is kind of hectic but yah anyways gtg cuz trianer is here.

Manuel got to play against a legitimate falcon for the first time ever at kennys last week. I believe those were his words to me over the phone yesterday. To be honest, I still was making technical errors which I have been able to get rid of whilst playing for 20 or so hours and taking dexedrine. Either way, everyone should know that I sandbag 99% of the time. I can't help it. It's like I'm goku vs frieza and have all my closest friends get killed and i have to be pushed to the limit where i have no choice but to go SUPER SAIYEN! Frieza would be like ****ing M2K come to kill us all.
