I'm having a problem. I converted the song and everything and put it on Brawl. The song was playing just fine, but right in the middle, it started crackling and there was a lot of static that killed my ears. Has anyone else had this problem?

I have a question.

In the newest Brawl + nightly, they used the music swap code to change the wifi waiting room's song to a song called "Boss Battle".

I'd like to turn "Boss Battle" into one of my custom songs but I can't find Boss Battle's music code.

The custom song maker I'm using doesn't seem to have it's code. I've already tried Y05 and Y07.

Has anyone had any problems with replays while using this code? All of my replays are corrupted with it on, but they are fine without it.

Other than that, it seems to do everything fine.

I turned the volume down and it still started crackling, and at the exact same spot too. I did another song and that one did the same thing. How low does the volume have to be? And if it is suppose to be low, then how come the directions said to turn the volume up?

What's your volume set to? I did all my files in mono at 3.90. Including Porky Means Business, they all work fine.

WOW, my computer decided to act *****y today. I got it to work now.

lawl
I got it to work, however, when it prompts me to add the loop value I only have like have 5 seconds to do it before it skips to the next step. :ohwell:

Falco400, you are on a Mac, right? Do you use Bootcamp or Parallels to make custom music files? I'm trying it on PD right now; for some reason I don't get the final .brstm in \EditedSongs\. The length.txt file is also not showing up.

I really don't know if this has something to do with Parallels Desktop, but I know that some stuff on my Windows partition only work when I start it with Bootcamp instead of PD. Any ideas?

EDIT: Just tested it on Bootcamp, I'm still not getting the final .brstm :ohwell:

Then try it at the normal volume, if it does the same thing then I guess you'll have to forget that song.

Yep, the same thing happened. But it couldn't be the song because it's happening to both songs I try, and Alphatron said that Porky Means Business works for him/her, which happens to be one of the songs that isn't working for me.

Well, what other codes do you have on? I'm simply using the brawl+ 7/10 build, which comes with this.

To test this out, my friend used Audacity(he didn't bother changing the Resample from 44100 Hz. Maybe Audacity does it automatically?) and cranked the volume up to 3.50 as well. Everything was done in stereo and it all worked with no problem at all.

Amplify automatically changes the audio to be as loud as possible without distortion.

Audacity automatically resamples the audio.

yeah, i understand all that, but none of it is helping solve my problem of the music bursting into static after about a minute

the music plays fine for about minute, then goes into complete explosive sound mode

It might be your SD card, OR it's the code set you are using. The file batch code uses a certain area of the RAM.

It might be your SD card, OR it's the code set you are using. The file batch code uses a certain area of the RAM.
it could just be my SD card....

if it helps, i'm using the 7/10 nightly build, using the snapshot loader (with the file patch codes in the snapshot loader)

maybe i'll double check without the nightly build turned on

has anyone else had troubles using music with the nightly build?

Is there any possible way to replace sound effects files as well? If not, how feasible is this now that we have music? Are they a different file type or something

Specifically I want to change the noise that plays when a shield breaks to "FINISH HIM!"

I wasn't able to replace Final Destination's default theme with this.
First I tried with title.brstm I ripped from Animal Crossing, then I tried with a different song ripped from Brawl. Renamed each X05.brstm and placed them at first in /private/wii/app/RSBE/sound/strm/ and afterward in /private/wii/app/RSBE/pf/sound/strm/ and neither worked.

I also get a "Receiving vault data" window upon boot and load times for replay/custom stage/album data increased significantly.
I replaced mine.

question about the Music hacking. when replacing a song, I noticed some aren't listed on the tracklist? (Car select and 2:00 AM for example) Can these just not be replaced?

nvm figured it out

I NEED HELP WITH THIS STEP

3. Open code manager and get one of the codes below (based on your region, PAL, NTSC, or NTSC-J) and set up your .gct (If you don't know how to do this, just ask someone in the thread, I'm sure they can help! Or you can just create a text file and import it into the code manager).

I don't know how to do this

You can't because allllll sound files are compressed into one file called a .brsar, so far, all you can do with that is unpack it, you can't repack it. The only thing you can do with it is replace US voices with Japanese voices (which I am not sure if that works with the new File Patch code or not).

By replacing the English version of .brsar with the Japanese one? Does it work with the File Replacement Code?
