Taking a step back

As though it weren't already obvious, I feel like it's time for me to take a step back from trying to fit so much into my schedule. So, I'm taking a bit of a step back. Just thought I'd tell you all here at once where it's relevant than explain to you all individually, lol. But yeah, It's too much for me now.

I want to be part of the community. I'm definitely not going anywhere. However, I'm done as far as moderating and hosting tournaments goes (outside of little ones at my house).

Smashboards and Smash itself, it's something I feel will always be a very important part of me. It's like that team sport or club activity. I feel like I owe quite a lot to it. It has provided me with friends, an identity.

It's provided me with the idea of improving myself, even for something as trivial as a video game might seem in the grand scheme of things. It's provided me with a string of events that I was able to put on my resume to get my current job working for the Government. It is also what bought my girlfriend and I together.

So, I owe it a lot, and I'll always be up for a game.

So yeah, that's about it :)

All is not doom and gloom though. The reason I have less time for smash is because I've taken up competitive Pokemon cards in the past year and am focusing a lot into it. Something about the game's competitive scene being run by business' and Nintendo itself and not me, literally the 'not me' part is what draws me to it.

It suits my Uni/Full Time work lifestyle. I'm also at a point where I'm producing videos every week and have just launched a website. Yeah.

So yeah. I still need to work things out, but hopefully I'll be at BAM. See you all next time either way :)

*Trolls may commence*

Can't say I blame you, I took a step back ages ago.

Smash is a pretty huge commitment, and it stops you from doing heaps of other (possibly more important) things. But it's hard, because smash, and the smash community, are so amazing.

It's part of growing up I suppose. Good luck with whatever you end up doing.

Lol we have no moderators left now. Oh noes.

But that's understandable, we all need to move on with life. Competitive Pokemon cards has a much bigger community to relate to, so its generally better than smash in the long run.

Enjoy life though =)

YOU!

Go to pokemon.com and find the league in Perth. You could even organise your own league and see if you can get prize support from Nintendo.

Also, we should play on Pokemon Online TCG sometime.

EDIT: Lolz Dekar. Sounds legit.

And another one bites the dust.

Enjoy Pokemon TCG Vyse! I've never met you (unfortunately) but what you've done for the community, not just for Australia but also for the rest of the boards as a mod, has been much appreciated.
