Based on a lack of submitted content, we will be going with....

Ostrheinsburg Chapel
(SoulCalibur II, 2002)

Hailing from Soulcalibur II, Ostrheinsburg Chapel is the home stage for Nightmare, Link, Heihachi, and Spawn, and the location used for all Destined Battles. In Smash, Ostrheinsburg Chapel is a simple platform stage, with a single wall on the left that takes the destruction mechanics from Mishima Dojo. On the right side of the stage is a single ledge where Ring-Outs were common in SC2. In the background, you'll also find some Destined Battles between various Soulcalibur characters, which are selected based on the song selected for the game.
Ostriheinsburg Chapel

Thank you GolisoPower GolisoPower for submitting it.

Based on our thread pull, Assist Trophy was our most voted option followed by a tie between a Master Spirit and a Boss. That being said, I never got to vote so I will be breaking the vote and going with Master Spirit. I do think we could use a new Boss but I want to save that possibility to perhaps another series. The only characters I could consider is Algol or Inferno and they aren't the best candidiates. We will be doign the Master Spirit when we do Spirit Submissions near the end.

Submit an Assist Trophy

Please submit a character for an Assist Trophy and highlight how they would work as an assist trophy. This character can be anyone but, due to SIegefired Nightmare being an alt, we will disallow Siegfried. This is to avoid confusion amongst players who don't know the story lines. That being said, there are tons of other potential characters out there.

Also, please check the poll as I added a new one about a certain character....

Submit SoulCalibur Music

Please submit up to 3 tracks for SoulCalibur. Please indiciate the name of the song and what game it appears in.

New poll is up. Ivy is banned from submissions but I want to gauge interest before giving a 100% ruling in her inclusion.

Assist Trophy: Yoshimitsu
A recurring character in both Tekken and Soul Calibur, Yoshimitsu is a fairly popular choice for a character in both games. In Smash, Yoshimitsu can do one of three stances: Flea, Dragonfly and Indian.
  • Flea Stance: A stance where he crouches upon two swords.
    • Flea Roll: Yoshimitsu curls into a ball and rolls along the ground, dealing 7% damage and medium knockback.
    • Sakanobori: Yoshimitsu walks on his swords for a bit. If he runs into anyone, he'll launch the foe upwards for 3% damage before spiking them for 7%.
    • Flea Run: Yoshimitsu runs forwards on his swords, dealing 2% damage per hit for 5 hits.
    • Flea to Sliding Headbutt: Yoshimitsu slides belly-down on the ground, dealing 6% damage to anyone he rams his head into.
  • Dragonfly Stance:
    • Dragonfly Fist: Does a straight punch to the closest foe he faces, dealing 3% damage and hitstun.
    • Dragonfly Sword: Performs a downwards sword slash that deals 6.5% damage. This puts him out of the stance.
    • Dragonfly Twister: Performs a strong roundhouse kick that deals 9% damage and medium knockback. This puts him out of the stance.
    • Dragonfly Sweep: Leaps out of the stance and performs a sweep kick that trips the foe on hit, dealing 5.5% damage.
    • Spirited Away: Grabs a foe that's closest to him and performs a leg-based piledriver dealing 11.5% damage and high knockback.
  • Indian Stance:
    • Vacuum Dance: Teleports to a random foe's location.
    • Storm: Spins in place before teleporting above the closest foe and directing an assault from above, dealing 8% damage.
    • Cannon: Leaps forwards with a dropkick before rolling along the ground and following up with a Kangaroo kick. Deals 13% damage overall.
    • Knee Cap: Spins in place before performing a sweep kick that trips opponents, dealing 4% damage.
Furthermore, there's a 25% chance that Yoshimitsu will be summoned in his Tekken 7 incarnation instead, reusing voice lines by Tomokazu Seki. This puts him as the first Assist Trophy in Smash Bros to represent two franchises simultaneously.

We will be splitting up some of our Mii Costume jobs with other content jobs to spice things up so we don’t get “Mii costume fatigue”. That being said, we will commence into…

Submit a SoulCalibur Mii Costume

I haven’t decided on the number of costumes we will add but we will at least add one. Taki and Yoshimitsu can be added but in the event one of these gets voted in as a Mii Costume, then that one will removed from the vote listing. As always, please provide information on the Mii costume and which class it is.

Submit a Mii Gunner

This can be either first or third party, Japanese or Western. We have a severe lack of Mii Gunner outfits so we will be adding a new one for this pack. This isn’t a deluxe costume; just a standard one. Please highlight how the Mii Gunner’s firearm will change when the costume is used.

Gunner: Pyjama Sam

Masked. (in the Mii costume sense, he doesn't have his Pyjama Man mask) Uses a flashlight as a gun.

I know someone's gonna say "would the rights holders for Pyjama Sam want him associated with these other violent series, like SoulCalibur?" and to that...
The answer is yes. In fact, in general the marketing for Humongous' rereleases target people who grew up on their games rather than children or their parents, which you can see quite a bit on the other Twitter posts.

Plus, isn't it fitting to have a character who's a child facing his fear of the dark packaged with a character called "Nightmare"?

I really really love Yoshimitsu's designs in both Tekken and SoulCalibur ganes, but my favorite (very near to Tekken 7) is his SCVI's design, so I will choose that one. The custom also change the Mii's skin tone to blueish.

Gunner: Kos-Mos
(I hate not being able to attach images right now)
Since we will not being able to submit more Bandai Namco characters this could be a good chance to have her in.

I haven’t had a chance to sit down and explain our costume break down. In fact, I don’t even have a for sure plan yet. That being said,
  • At least 1, potentially 2 SC costumes
  • A Gunner job
  • A costume not affiliated with gaming (like our food job)
  • A villain Mii costume
  • Plus one more depending on how our voting turns out
This gives us 5-6 Mii Costumes depending on how things go. There won’t be a long deluxe costumes for this pass

CJ from GTA San Andreas
The Mii would get CJ's clothing and tatoos for the body with CJ's hair and facial hair for the headgear, the weapon would be a gun.

I don't have ideas for the soul calibur costume.

Siegfried Schtauffen (Swordfighter)
A central character in the Soul Calibur series, Siegfried was one of the hosts for Soul Edge, becoming Nightmare while he had it in his grasp. In Smash, he takes after his Soul Calibur 2 appearance, with his sword being the large greatsword he uses here.

1657384073077.png

Boggy B (Worms)
A major character in the Worms games by Team17, Boggy B is considered a war hero in-universe and the mascot of the company. In Smash, this will be effectively a mascot costume, with the Boggy B headpiece showing the face through the mouth and the body being a long, baggy suit that drags along the ground resembling the Worm's tail. The weapon used here is the Bazooka, a standard Worms weapon.

I am just throwing this out here that would it be strange to have both Boggy B and Earthworm Jim, both worms as Mii Gunners? Seems rather redundant to me.

About as redundant as it'd be to have both Slippy Toad and Frogger as fighters
Froggy and Slippy would be two different Mii Classes so that’s a bit more understandable. This is one reason why I removed the Gatekeeper Mii Costume as we already had a Knight Costume and Darknut Costume. It’s not necessary. As for playable characters, they have far more personality than Mii Costumes which helps them set apart plus have very different movesets. I would argue having Greninja, Frogger, and Slippy to be froggy-overkill as well but that’s just me. That being said, having two earthworm based costumes both set to the Mii Gunner seems unnecessary; especially if we are selling them. They are literally the same in regards to mechanics except they represent different franchises. We already have Earthworm Jim. There would be zero incentive to purchase this costume from the general gaming population.

One is an antomically correct worm with a muscular, humanoid power suit and bulgy eyes, while the other is more just a pinkish-beige stick vaguely resembling a worm with eyes that stay within his face - I don't see how it's an issue, especially when only the head is similar and your problem relates to them both being gunners.

Also, Jim is a masked costume, Boggy here isn't.

Gunner Mii costume:
Resubmission ( Venus of the Desert Bloom Venus of the Desert Bloom )
Simon Riley (Call of Duty)
View attachment 345423
Simon "Ghost" Riley is a British special forces operator, and a prominent member of Task Force 141, known for his iconic skull-patterned balaclava, headset, and dark red sunglasses. He is also a main character in games that they've been mentioned below.
Also he is one of protagonists from FPS games "Call of Duty", made by Infinity Ward, Treyarch and published by Activision.

Ghost appears as a main character in "Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2", "Modern Warfare 2: Ghost", "Call of Duty: Online", "Find Makarov: Operation Kingfish", "Call of Duty: Heroes", and "Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Campaign Remastered". He also appears as a customization option in "Call of Duty: Ghosts".

Ghost is fan-favorite character amongst the CoD fans and he could fit as a mii costume in smash. Even Simon Riley/Ghost appeared on Nintendo console.

As Mii Costume, it would consist of:
  • Headgear: His mask with skull emblem printed on. Also it has his headphones on ears and glasses on eyes. It would cover mii's head.
  • Outfit: His black jacket with black pants along with black boots.
  • Weapon: His gun would be his weapon that he holds in hands.
Why Simon Riley:
I chose Simon as Mii costume, because Call of Duty is very popular franchise and it deserves to be in smash, since smash is celebration of gaming and Call of Duty played huge role in Gaming History because or revolutionizing FPS games and fans like it.
Besides that, a lot of CoD characters could fit as Mii Costumes, especially the gunner ones.

Also Call of Duty is responsible for modern FPS Multiplayer games, which is also important for gaming history.

Why are you even complaining about a costume of a character who is a worm? It wouldn't matter as long as it's different and maybe even fun.
Not complaining. Just pointing out issues with submissions. That's allowed.

SoulCalibur Mii Costume

Raphael
Mii Swordfighter

I was going to go with Xinghuaon this and I sort of still want to but I went with Raphael as we already have a Chinese fighter as a Mii Costume (Chun-Li). Plus, Raphaerl uses a rapier. The character is quite important to the SoulCalibur franchise and has been a mainstay in the roster for much of its life time.

Cave Story

Cave Story is a successful series that continues to be relevant without being active. Having a Mii Costume could lead to Cave Story coming back. I personally never played it but I do kow people who have who loved it. It's also notable that it's a Japanese indie game. We tend to shift towards Western indies titles due to the entire San's inslusion; especially with Mii Gunners. I feel this would be a fun departure from that tendancy to feature a Japanese indie IP for a Mii Gunner. Wgile it's not Deluxe in the same vein as many others, it would cause the Mii's skin to be white with black eyes lik ein the above artwork. I don't know the series well enough to know what gun he uses but....he uses that gun shown above.

Eh, it's fine. I just kinda found it odd that we don't have any representation of one of the most popular turn-based games in history. I understand why you have concerns about Boggy B when we have Earthworm Jim as a costume already, though. I could find a different candidate for a Mii Gunner costume if it would put your mind at ease.

I think you forgot to add Infinity Sorcerer's Kos-Mos mii costume
Yeah, I forgot like 5 of them. I am runnin on 24 hours of no sleep but I have to go back into work in like an hour or so for another 8 hour shift.

Everything is taken care of now.

There is a new poll up on the thread about veteran costumes. We have a lot to add within this season. I got a feeling we may have to go back and plug them in in previous seasons. While not th ebest way to go about it, it does make a bit of sense.

So, aside from voting for a veteran mii costume (I intend to add 2 or 3...I didn;t realize just how many we have)...

Please submit a Mii Costume Based Off a Profession

We will be submitting a Mii Costume that is based on a particualr occupation. Previously, we included a firefighter, atheletes (fencer), and Gangster. Now, to keep things oncontroversial, police officer won't be allowed to be submitted. Please keep that in mind. In addition, another athlete Mii Costume is ineligible to keep submissions diversified. When submitting, please indiciate what class the costume is and include a picture while explaining why this profession should have a mii costume.
