So, I decided on a few things regarding Anna after thinking about it for a while…

If we go back to the votes, GolisoPower GolisoPower and Adrianette Bromide Adrianette Bromide nearly tied so we are going with those and actually combine elements for both.

Here’s some general info for Anna
  • Anna’s weight is 80, being the lightest of all FE’ers and tied with Zamus and MK
  • Her walk speed is .87 which places her between Snake and Steve
  • Her dash speed is 1.69 which places her between ICs and Lucario.
  • Her jump is 30 which ties her with the Belmont Bros.
  • Her air speed and falling speed is 1.02 (tied with Isabelle) and 1.73 (tied with Snake)
  • She can crawl surprisingly.

Moveset Info
  • Anna utilizes a dagger in battle. In your one of your submissions, you can identify what dagger she wields.
  • One of her specials utilizes one of the items found in Fire Emblem including swords, bows, lances, axes, etc
  • She has a “Gold” system where she can accumulate gold which gives her boosts in her attacks and movements. Damaging opponents and scoring skills will reward Anna with gold. Getting damaged loses said gold and getting KOd will loose all the gold.
  • One of her attacks will summon one of her Anna sisters. We will be incorporating said Anna’s as misc content so the sudden appearance of Anna isn’t so jarring. You get to decide how one of Anna’s sisters will act when brought forth by Anna.
  • One of her attacks will summon a chest which allows her to pull out a particularly strong weapon. The chest is heavily dependent on how much Gold Anna has on her person with more gold causing more powerful weapons to appear. RNG factors are also a portion of the move. You guys can determine what kind weapons come from the chest as well as the chest properties.
  • Her Final Smash may or may not (depending on how the submissions) have two different versions: one with low to average Gold and one with average to high Gold.
I feel this is the most appropriate and most realizable way to incorporate both GolisoPower’s gameplay submissions which focused more on the gimmicks while Adrianette focused a bit on gameplay and moves. I wanted her attack submissions to be less limited but I feel allowing people to choose which weapons she pulls out and decide how the other Anna’s are utilized will help.

So…

Anna Moveset Submissions

Please include moveset content including normals, smashes, throws, specials and final smashes. Please group them together is it’s easier to follow the flow of the attacks as we piece together moves that work and those that don’t. Do try to keep to the original intention of the two gameplay submissions. Ones that don’t follow this and deviate to something else entirely will be ineligible.

Jab: A three-hit jab strike similar to Joker's jab. The first will be a diagonal downwards slash with the dagger facing outwards, the second hit will be a reverse backhanded dagger strike upwards and the final hit will be a thrust forward with her dagger.

Forward Tilt: A multi-hit attack where Anna will send a kick forward with her left leg and then slice horizontally from the right with her dagger. The first of her forward tilt will do minor flinching damage while the second strike with her dagger will be a powerful kill option. The attack will be laggy but quick to start up. This with its long disjoint makes it a solid grounded combo finisher.

Neutral Air: Anna will spin around counter clockwise twice with her dagger hitting in front of her at a slight downwards angle while hitting behind herself too at a slightly more upper angle. The attackis fast and can be used as a combo starter. The lack of a hitbox above doesn't make it as strong as a versatile spacing move but its horizontal hitboxes reach out far.

Down Smash (Nóatún) Similarly to Byleth's down smash attack, Anna will swing an axe around the ground. The first hit will be in front of her and the second bit will be behind her with the axe coming back up and Anna hoisting in on her shoulder similar to her Fire Emblem Heroes key art. The axe being used is Nóatún, the one also seen in her Fire Emblen Heroes key art. It is not as strong as Byleth's down smash however as it is not as powerful as an ancient relic. Instead, it makes up for its lack of strength with speed and longevity as Nóatún's hitbox lingers while Anna is hoisting it on her shoulders.

If an opponent is hit with the back hit of Nóatún, they will be send in front of Anna where the final hit of her hoisting her axe will hit them again sending them far back but the first hit will always send the opponent away along a straight horizontal trajectory.

Dash Attack: Anna carries a large bag of gold and trips. The bag of gold goes flying and lands on the ground. While both her body and the bag of gold have hitboxes, her tripping body will be a sour spot while the bag acts as a sweet spot and does more damage the more gold she has.

Aerial Up Special (Warp): While only seen in the Fire Emblem characters' entrance animations, Anna will use Warp as part or her kit. Warp in Fire Emblem is used to teleport allies so naturally, Anna will use it to teleport one of her allies... that being another Anna! You see, if Anna casts Warp in the air, she will fall to and teleport away but she will transport a large sum of her earnings to another Anna who will take the fight in her stead!

If used in the air above solid ground, the old Anna's body will collapse on the ground before disappearing in a cloud of smoke. If her body is to land on somebody though, it will deal around 16% damage with strong launch power. When the new Anna is summoned, she may not use Warp until she touches the ground but she will start with her double jump intact.

(If allowed, the new Anna will have a different design while still remaining the alternate colour of the previous Anna.)

My Moves submittion:
Side Smash: Anna uses her Hammer and slams it down in front of Enemy, that the Damage is 15% and it has High KO percentage. The Range is medium, but its sure that Death can be Slamming! Also it has Bury Effect if the Attack ends with Hammer Point.

Neutral Special: The Chest - Anna summons chest in front of her that gives 10% Damage and it buries the Enemies due to its weight. You grab the weapon and the Chest Dissappears. The Chest Contains:
  • Falchion (Sword) - Most common weapon in the Game. It has Tipper like Marth and it acts like FE Characters' Swords.
  • Axe -Anna grabs her Strongest Weapon: AXE! She Swings her Axe like Byleth, but it's more stronger and Slower. It has 20% Damage. It's the most Rarest Weapon to Get.
  • Bow - It's the most 2nd Strongest Weapon and it's Far Range weapon. It has Strong Damage and you can aim with Control Stick like Link. It gives same Damage as Link's B.
  • Lance - Most Weakest Weapon, but it's Faster. It stabs with 4.2% Damage and it can be Spamming. It's more rare Weapon than Sword.

The Neutral Special depends on Money number, which it causes her Wepons to become Stronger. She could even store so much money that she could upgrade her Axe or Bow to make Strong Finishes.
And the Neutral B has a small Gimmick that the Her Current weapon is temporary, which after KO, she uses her Neutral Special again in one stock, but she uses different weapon other than used earlier like Sword and now in another stock it will be Bow used.

Up Smash: Anna Swings her Hammer upwards that sends opponents high. The Damage is 15% and it also has high Percentage advantage to Send opponent into Clouds of Blast Zone. And if the hammer slams the Ground, it gives 10% Damage and small knockback.

Throws
While I said a Special should utilize Annagangers in some form, I felt that including them as the grab option to be very appealing. When grabbing, one of the Annagangers will appear and makes the grab.

Side Throw: Receipt of Purchased Goods
Anna pulls of a receipt and thrusts it into the opponent which launches them away. It will show a value between 1,000 to 50,000 G as the opponent is launch. This doesn’t effect the damage output and only visual.

Back Throw: Pay Up!
The opponent is spun around and flipped upside down. From there, they are violently shaken as coin spills out from their body. Following this, they are tossed aside.

Up Throw: Anna-oop
Both the playable Anna and Annaganger pushes the opponent up like a volleyball into the air.

Down Throw: Let’s make a Deal
Anna summons a chair and slams it down into the opponent which pushes them down into the ground. She then quickly sits on it and pauses to ponder. This throw as significant lag but each hit frame occurs separately making it rather unique.

At the top of the thread, we have our Fatal Frame stage submissions. Please vote for the one you like the most. Here are the two submissions…

Mikomori Hot Springs

A long since abandoned onsen or hot spring on Mt. Hikami, this is one place that is full of paranormal activity. Yuri first investigates this place before heading to unravel the mysterious of the mountain.

The stage has two walk-off blast zones but are guarded by…paranormal forces. In the center is the front portion of the hot springs with the Unfathomable Forest surrounding it. Going outside of the hot spring area will, like Luigi’s Mansion, show the entirety of the building hut going inside will reveal rooms. Portions of the onsen is collapsed. It’s quite large, being about equivalent to Temple.

There are sections where there are indentations both in the ground as well as in the onsen where there is water. This is important as the stage has a gimmick: Wetness Meter. When a player stays in the water for sometime, they will become more wet. (Didn’t wanna say wetter lol). This causes them to deal more damage as a result but also become targeted by ghosts who will appear to attack the player. In addition, ghastly hands may or may not appear from the ground for those who become wet. The side of the blastlines are blocked by chain link fence due to an increase in deaths in the area. It’s possible to destroy these fence but that increases the potential of paranormal activity.

Im trying to upload the sketch but Smashboards doesn’t like it.

Had to upload it to discord. While not verbatim and very quick drawing but more or less what I came up with.
CW: Post has mentions of suicide, self harm, and death (mentioned only for purposes of explaining some lore and terms, the stage itself would not mention or have images of these.)

EDIT: edited to remove anything that could be super insensitive

Mt. Hikami
Fatal Frame V: Maiden of Black Water
During the course of Fatal Frame V, the main protagonists Yuri, Miu, and Ren are tied up by fate to this mountain. Ever since one of the series' many, many, MANY rituals, went horribly wrong and a bunch of other silly nonsense, the mountain has been rumored as a paranormal place. Yuri first makes her way onto the mountain after she (attempts to) helps a young woman, Fuyuhi, search for a friend.

While I would like to have a specific location on the mountain as a stage, I overall opted to have the entire mountain as it's the main setting and all the other locations are on the mountain.

As a result, this would be a travelling stage in a similar vein to Garreg Mach Monastery and The Transcontinental Railroad. The stage would go between several backdrops related to locations on the mountain after a while instead of flying constantly throughout. Each location would be pretty similar to each other, though with slight differences.

The stage itself has a simple layout. It's a large platform, similar to most other stages, with the backdrop being magnified in the back. There are two platforms, the one on the right slightly higher than the one on the left. Both of these platforms have a solid wall that faces the side blast zone it is closest to. These platforms are similar to those on Battlefield, where you can jump through them. However, you can't get to them by jumping directly under the wall. These platforms are breakable with strong enough attacks. Whenever a platform is broken, the wall that was on it will also be broken. This resets every time the stage changes location, so you will have a new set of platforms to play with every so often. The location of the stage will change the appearance of the stage (especially the walls, which will change drastically, though remaining similar in size), with each one adopting some themes of the background to make it blend in better. You can also pick which form of the stage you would like to play on, which is especially helpful on Battlefield and Omega forms. If a specific location is chosen while hazards are on, the stage will remain the same throughout the match, but the platforms will rebuild themselves every so often (like Mishima Dojo). The selection method is similar to that of Minecraft World, with different inputs resulting in different locations.

A gimmick (stage hazard) similar to the one mentioned in Venus of the Desert Bloom Venus of the Desert Bloom 's post, albeit simplified. In certain areas of the game, the player is forced to enter areas with lots of water, be it rain, waterfalls, hot springs, etc. As such, when in certain areas, the precipitation would cause the wetness gauge to fill up automatically. Some locations would fill up greater than others, but everyone's would fill up at the same rate, so really, it's just that some places have a higher chance ghosts spawning. This would cause ghosts to be more drawn to players and attack them. These ghosts would have their appearance as they do in Fatal Frame, though censored to remove any blood, bloodlike substances, bodily harm, and booby physics. They would pop up every so often, depending on the wetness gauge in that location, and slowly try to attack players by lunging at them. They usually appear in very very close proximity to the players so it is important to dodge right away. This wouldn't deal too much damage but it sure is annoying and LOUD. A certain ghost has a chance of appearing in one location. This is the Maiden of Black Water, which will both damage you and inflict the player with the Flower Effect. Any ghost can be defeated by having a player taunt, to simulate the odd properties of the Camera Obscura. They will also disappear after a while. When defeated, they will make the same sound that Yuri's assist trophy makes when she takes a picture. EEUUUURURRAHHHHHG. WEEEEAARRGH.

Finally... onto the locations. They will cycle from top to bottom of the list presented, starting from the Hot Springs and ending at the Peak. This is to simulate the climb up the mountain and then the return to the base, where the player starts the climb back up and starts the cycle anew. Again, each of these locations has a different wetness gauge that increases the amount of ghost attacks.

Mikomori Hot Spring (tentative to change)
Located near the base of Mt. Hikami, the natural hot springs have made this location a natural tourist spot as an onsen. However, after a landslide tragically claimed many of the lives of those in the building, it was burned down. This is the location in which Yuri receives and learns to use the Camera Obscura. The walls will be fences. As an abandoned hot spring, it has a wetness gauge of 50%.

Pool of Purification
In the Unfathomable Forest, there exists a beautiful pool of water surrounded by waterfalls. It is said that pilgrims on religious journeys would cleanse themselves in these waterfalls as shrine maidens would perform rituals for show. It doesn't have many tourists anymore, and a rumor has spread that there was a mass murder of ever shrine maiden here. Maidens of Black Water can spawn here. The walls will be lanterns. It has the second highest wetness gauge of 70%.
Hold L+Up
Unfathomable Forest
The Unfathomable Forest gets its name from the fact that whenever you go in, you tend to lose all sense of direction and get lost. It's true, I got lost for a good half hour despite having both exits blocked. A path runs through the forest to shrines on the mountain. A landslide has since closed off many of the entrances to the forest. The walls are trees. It has a wetness gauge of 60%.
Hold L+Down
Womb Cavern
A sketchy place found underneath the Shrine of Dolls. For some reason, the water flowing through the cave is tied to the wellbeing of the mountain, so when it was partially destroyed by a landslide, lost spirits began to become populous on the mountain itself. The walls will be pillars of rock. This has the highest wetness gauge of 80%.
Hold L+Left
Shrine of the Ephemeral
A foggy shrine in which no one really knows what it's for. Formerly a tourist destination, it was abandoned after the cable cars broke down. Sometimes, you can see the titular Maidens of Black Water roam around. Maidens of Black Water can be found here. The walls will be fences, but in a more traditional style. This has a wetness gauge of 30%.
Hold L+Right
Twilit Peak
The top of the mountain, desolate and barren. There are objects left behind from rituals, as this was a highly spiritual location with ties to the world of the dead. The walls will be rocks. This has a wetness gauge of 40%.

Anna's Final Smash: What a Deal!
Owing to Anna's unique status as a character within the series, I opted to go for a mostly unique Final Smash. It still does have some ties back to the franchise, similar to that of Byleth and Corrin, but it would mostly reference her multiple appearances in the series.

Like with Marth, Roy, and Lucina, the Final Smash starts out with a Critical Hit. Anna spins her dagger in her hand and runs forward, dragging at most 3 opponents into a cutscene, similar to the one that Hero has. Here, every single Anna that has appeared over time would deal a quick strike with a different weapon, before the main Anna swings a bag of gold coins and ends the cutscene with a "Come again soon!" and a finger to her chin.

Reminder that I proposed Anna's up b as an aerial up b similar to how Min Min's aerials work. The main reason was because I saw the comedic potential of Anna falling before teleporting away funny but it also opens up more options for her attacks so if anyone wants to submit a grounded up b attack, shoot. Maybe something that doesn't swap Annas.

Up B: Foul Play
Anna raises a staff in the air, which starts to glow with purple energy. Then, the same purple energy appears three grid squares away (think like Palutena’s Side B.

Enemies or allies caught in the “blast” swap spaces with Anna.

EDIT: Another idea I had (and posted before I edited in Foul Play instead) was Return, where Anna would fire a tractor beam from her staff that would pull opponents towards her.

Either way, grounded only Up B should use those sort of shenanigans that would be broken if Anna could use them in the air but work because she’s grounded and thus it cannot be used for gimps and all that

I'll probably do my own take on the chest attack. I sort of envisioned it to be a down b and it would pull out a usable item like an actual Smash Bros. item, not just for the attack. It would probably take some time to lockpick too. We gotta figure out what this gold ecoonomy looks like.

Down Special: Shady Deal:

A unique sort of command grab, Anna will throw a large tent up at her location, catching any opponents before hopping inside. Once initiated, both opponents must perform three inputs, the base damage of each move (That means things like Revenge or Deep Breathing don't count towards it) being the equivalent to the amount of gold they bet. Let's say Anna and Ganondorf are caught in a Shady Deal. If Anna's total gold count surpasses that of Ganondorf's, she wins the match-up and deals the total damage of all moves tied to those inputs divided by 3, and gains the total amount of Gold Ganondorf has bet based on his moves' base damage. The same will happen if Ganondorf wins. If it's a tie, the command grab ends and they leave the tent as though they deal never fell through. So, to summarize:

Anna: 500G
Ganondorf: 500G
Move 1: 9%
Move 2: 14%
Move 3: 5%
Move 1: 30%
Move 2: 12%
Move 3: 19%
Anna LOSESGanondorf WINS
Anna loses 28G and takes 20% damage.Ganondorf gains 28G and takes no damage.

(I dunno how well this will stick with everyone, TBH.)

Guys this coin mechanic is getting out of hand

Mechanic: Gold Rush (or another fancy name but I’m tired)
Anna gains coins based on the damage she deals. Not a big reach in either lore or in-Smash since enemies drop bullions of gold when struck and Coin Battle already exists. She doesn’t lose coins when damaged but does lose her coins when dying. It’s a meter thing, not too complicated.

Neutral B: Anna’s Secret Shop
Anna is stingy, so she doesn’t just use her best wares all wily-nily. Instead, she buys them from her own shop to make sure she never makes an investment she can’t back up with her credit value.

With her coins though, she can buy stronger weapons. Hold longer to spend more coins for a stronger weapon, Pac-Man Neutral B style. This then results in her sword/dagger being upgraded to variants like a Brave Sword, Levin Sword, Killer Sword etc. with different properties and different strengths etc.. The upgraded weapon is implemented set-wide like Robin’s aerials.

Alternate Neutral B: Anna’s Secret Shop
Blahblahblah shop.

In this version, Anna opens a menu like Hero and can select one of four options:
-Sword
-Lance
-Axe
-Magic

(or four different weapon types, whatever)

She then buys a weapon that is used in her Side Special (or even Neutral B), which varies drastically between which weapon type is used, but again the weapons have durability. This way, you can get a wide variety of weapons in Anna’s set without intruding on Byleth’s niche by essentially giving her Palutena Smash 4 customs on Side B.

Down B: Convoy
Anna puts bullions in a chest, investing her coin count in the stash which she then buries underground. If she dies and loses her accrued coins, she can use Down B again on the spot the chest was buried to immediately get back the coins she invested into them at the expense of Anna having less liquid assests on-hand if she’s invested gold into a chest.

EDIT: WAIT WHAT IF ANNA‘S SECRET SHOP WAS RAN BY ANOTHER ANNA

Up Tilt: Anna throws her bag of wares over her shoulder sensing opponents hit by hit behind her. The attack has a weak scooping hitbix in front of her.

Down Tilt: Anna swipes from the right with her dagger while crouching. The attack is fast and deals weak flinching damage being a perfect combo starter tool.

Forward Air: A forward thrust stab that Anna performs with her dagger in reverse. This attack has a mediocre hitbox but performs stronger shield damage than any of her other aerial attacks making it good for pressuring enemy shields.

Back Air: An upwards strike with the dagger held in reverse. This attack packs the most damage out of her aerial attacks and also has a wide hitbox to boot. Back air will be Anna's primary KO attack in the air.

Command Input 1 (Electric Swindle God Fist): Anna dashes forward and performs an electric uppercut that spills coins out of the opponent that will go towards Anna's coin count. The very difficult command input required to perform this attack is as follows: ➡ ⬇ ↘ + A. The final input and A must be inputted at the same time (within a 3-frame window.) /s

Forward Smash - Anna fires a shot from her bow. Compared to, say, Link or Byleth's bow, it has the properties of a smash attack rather than being a special, so it can be held after being charged and can't be used in the air. Hitting it point-blank deals massive damage. Being an arrow, it can be reflected like any other projectile. Can be angled

Up Smash - Anna fires two arrows upwards. Similar to the forward smash, sans the two-arrows and upwards thing. After firing, the two arrows fall to the ground, one on each side of Anna.

Down Smash - A circular sweep kick

I dunno, I just like the idea of using a bow for normals

Would also like to suggest a ballista being used for either the Forward Smash or the Up Smash

Down Special: Treasure Chest/Chosen Weapon
Anna spawns a Treasure Chest which will fall to the ground. Continuously spawning it causes the treasure chest to not appear which causes Anna to pout quickly. When performed in the air, it acts like Kirby’s Down Special and drops to the ground and deals damage. When summoned, it will remain active for 15 seconds. During which, Anna can pull out a weapon which selectable via menu.

If she has a high Gold rating, she is able to pull out more powerful weapons or upgrade her current weapon. This weapon that is pulled out is then mapped to her down special and replaces Treasure Chest. Like Robin, this weapon has a durability gauge that breaks by overuse, if Anna is damaged enough, runs out of Gold, or simply dies.

Anna Final Smash: Serious Coin

Anna releases a burst of energy of energy around her which catches the opponent in the Final Smash. This will pause the action and will feature PNG version of Anna often featured in discussion dialog between in FE.

Anna will say “Let me get your total…hmmmm…I see you purchased the following…”

From there, she lists a number of objects pulled from both FE and other franchises in Smash. This includes:
Falchion
Binding Blade
Silver Axe
Nosferatu
Broken Bow
Horse
Ultra Mushroom
Magic Armor
Biggorn Sword
Dragoon
Spider Mines
Froggy Chair
Golden
Atomic Driver
Rainmaker
Tempered Dynamo Roller
Rare Candy
Omega Weapon
Chaos Emerald
Phantom Mask
Dragon Egg

Anna then says “Your total comes to [high number]. I prefer gold up front!” This causes the opponents who were caught to shake uncontrollably and launched. The amount of typically around 20,000 to 99,999 Gold but that doesn’t affect the damage output of the Final Smash.

Seems like it would take too long to list all of those off, considering most Final Smashes don't last longer than about six to eight seconds.

I meant to include this but I was a bit vague by saying “a number”. I’m talking more so like 3 or 4 items.

Up Special (Grounded): Fodlan Thrust - Anna thrust her Noatun in Air like FE's Dolphin Slash move, but its stabbing the Opponent with her Sweet Spot. The Damage 7.6% and she goes upwards little longer than Marth for her Recovery.

Side Special: Sister's help - Anna calls her one of her Sisters and it could Act the Same weapon like Anna during one Stock. it also similarly acts like Zelda's Down B, but she has more assisting Role like Attacking while Anna Attacks. Her sister can be KOed and she could have 10 second cooldown for another Sister summon.

Fodlan in Three Houses is a continent. Do you suggest that she thrusts a continent into the air?

Im pretty sure thrusting a continent in the air would cause more than 7% damage lol.

We are finishing moves within the hour.

Alright everyone!

We are done submitting moves for Anna. I want to thank everyone who submitted content! We really appreciate all the time and energy people invested to make the character come alive!

We will now submit misc content for Anna including:
  1. Entrance Animation (1)
  2. Taunts (4)
  3. Idle Poses (2)
  4. Victory Animations (3)
  5. Kirby Wig (1)
  6. Boxing Ring Title (1)
  7. Palutena Guidance (1)
  8. Snake Codec (1)
  9. Classic Mode (1)

As for our Fatal Frame stage, while I would prefer mine personally, I don’t feel comfortable voting for my own content - especially if it’s to decide a tie. So I have yet to vote so I’m casting one for Mt. Hikami. This will appear as our Fatal Frame and our last stage before launch.

Kirby hat: Not only does Kirby get a wig, but his back is covered head to toe in seathed weapons brought from Anna - specifically a sword, arrows for a bow, a shield and an axe. Some of them still have tags on.

Might I suggest this wooden backpack crate as used by Apotheosis Anna in Fire Emblem: Heroes and Fire Emblem: Awakening?

Victory Animation:
Anna picks up a trophy of a random fighter and appraises its high value before she hears rumbling. She turns around for a bit before flashing a mischievous grin to the camera, in which the "ANNA" splash will appear, before bolting off, revealing an army of Annas from across the Fire Emblem franchise in hot pursuit. The animation persists as the playable Anna keeps running away from her sisters while carrying the Fighter Trophy.
