Apparantely this server switch wasn't such a fantastic idea seeing the incredible amount of down time we've been having. I didn't want to be the one to have to create this obligatory thread, but I expected for one to be made on this topic long, long ago. This is getting ridiculous.

I *think* it's over now. But yeah this is kind of ridiculous. There's no excuses for being offline for such a long period of time.

Well SWF has an enormous database and there are lots of bugs and glitches with the server switch that weren't foreseen. Tbh that is MLG Tech's fault for underestimating the magnitude of the whole thing, but at the same time a lot of unpredictable problems happen with the movement of such a huge volume of data. As for the reason they're switching servers, ask them.

See above. Although I personally hate this, and probably moreso than you, there are random problems popping up here and there that just weren't foreseen. At the same time, they are working really hard to get them all ironed out. Also, the long period of downtime over the weekend was due to Easter weekend. No MLG employees at work = no monitoring of servers.

Anyway, I went to go post a blog about how annoyed I am at the GuinnessWorld Records 2010 Gammer's Edition and how it's the most 00s-rific thing I've ever read (despite that the 00s ended a year ago). But then I realized that the blogs are STILL screwed up. Come on, MLG! What's going on with the site already?
