I understand what it is now, but what's the criteria for being one? Moderator recommendation or something?

They keep an eye out in the rooms they frequent

If you think you're capable of being a discussion leader, you can go to
User CP> Group memberships > apply for "Discussion leader"

if you're approved or not is up to Virg

We need a smash workshop section in the general melee section.

We have like 2 threads dedicated to hacking and the threads are blowing up so much that we're gonna need our own section to keep up w/ updates, and to have extra threads to help organize some of the clutter in there.

Please take note of this and add a new section as the Brawl section has a dedicated smash workshop section for Brawl..for us Melee players that hack the game we'd love to have the same thing.

How come some people's profile still have the old social groups layout (Junglefever as an example) whereas others (me as an example) have the newer ones?

If you exceed a certain number of social groups, then it wont show the picture. If you have under a certain, it'll look like yours.

I meant a completely separate section, where we can just have it 100% dedicated to Melee Hacking period.

Not just 2 threads. There so much that goes on in those threads, its soooo hard to keep up w/ the updates.

At least if we had our own separate section, people can just post threads about new discoveries, and then if we were to have a directory that stickied we can have all the links to the most important threads within.

You see where I'm going with this?

Most likely not. vBulletin forums all have character limit as far as I know. It's a limitation of the forum itself, and probably not something that couldn't be fixed without an update.

Admins are aware of your request. The sticky idea was just something to tide over while it is (seemingly) being discussed.

Discussion leaders are veterans in their respective boards who are chosen to help lead discussion and keep discussion on topic. they also help calm flaming and trolling by posting. They are basically a step in between normal user and moderator.

So, I guess, no you don't just run any kind of discussion.

It's a bandwidth issue. If anyone could be granted that function, it can be abused. That is why it is exclusive to the staff, who are trusted with such a feature.

Embed is just a feature of HTML. You can't really monitor what's being embedded and it could just result in 0 size videos autoplaying on every post. Now that would be awful.

I'm under the impression that you clearly can't disable any part of the HTML for certain users, or else it wouldn't be such an issue.

how come i can't visitor message anyone here other than myself? i was going to message a friend of mine here but the place where you type messages isn't there. he said he changed his setting so that anyone can post on his profile but the place where you type is missing but i can see his profile and messages from other people.

Other vB boards I frequent have BB tags for youtube videos (the tags are [yt]lvvcRdwNhGM[/yt]), dailymotion, vimeo, gametrailers, etc etc. Why can't we have some of them? Youtube serves as a primary host for Smash matches and videos.

If it's a matter of breaking some global rules regarding the contents of a video... image tags are probably far more dangerous considering Youtube has uploading guidelines. It's way easier to post a picture from a porn site than embedding a 18+ video from youtube (since those get taken down over there).
