Submit a living item!

Please submit an item that is itself a character or species member. Only one item will be added from this job. Transformed or hiding states (like Red's staff form if he weren't already in or a Koopa Troopa sheel) are allowed. This disconfirms for the most part - but submitting a generic species member won't disconfirm their distinguished counterpart (so adding a Boo item won't disconfirm King Boo or Lady Bow, but will disconfirm Boo) and submitting a "hiding state" of a generic species member doesn't disconfirm the species as a whole (so Koopa Shells don't disconfirm Koopa Troopa) though this doesn't go for specific characters (so if, for example, Red were to be added as an item before Ashley got in he'd be disconfirmed as either, a playable fighter or major prescence in Ashley's moveset)

Functions identically to Mr. Saturn, including the walking and shield breaking. One new element is that they also can't be parried and will still break the shield if a parry is performed.

Living Item: Stretch

The fact that this is a really funny looking enemy aside, Stretch would appear by materializing from the ground and sliding around (slightly faster than a Mr. Saturn) until it despawns or someone picks it up. If thrown onto the ground, it disappears into the ground like a Pitfall, and if someone walks over the area that it was placed, the Stretch will rise out of the ground (quite a powerful attack) and disappear into the ground again. It will repeat this once more when it is stepped over, then becomes a Boo and flies away. If you throw it at an opponent, the Stretch will encapsulate them like a coin, dive straight down to bury the opponent and to dissappear underground, and since they are right above the Stretch, it will pop up soon after, then go back down as usual.

Would you mind not making it so these items can attack without the intervention of a player? While Burrbo came off as weak enough to be fine, I think the Flame Chomp concept specifically would be better saved for an Ally Contact

Mini Boos
This is a terrible example screenshot, but it was all I could do to convey that the function of this item is based on Mario Super Sluggers. The item is a trio of tiny Boos who float around in a circle. If a player picks up the Mini Boos, they will laugh and begin to float around your head for a brief time. During this time, all of your projectiles will be made invisible! This also causes any other items you pick up to become invisible, meaning that opponents may not be able to figure out what you're holding until you hit them with it...

If left alone, the Boos will fly around the stage on their own a little. But they aren't too difficult to hunt down.

I forgot to mention this, but the submissions for Toad's replacement have been disregarded due to him not being in Captain Toad's alt list. If we add Toad as a seperate fighter later down the line we will revisit these submissions while also allowing new submissions including from those who have already submitted

Character modifications and living items will close soon

Submit a universal, unlockable alt costume for Multi-Man Smash!

The "Fighting Polygon Team" equivalent for this game will have equivalents in every single roster member (not including alt costume characters) and be unlockable as every character's 9th/17th alt costume. Please submit what this alt would be, and if it'd have any appearances outside of Multi-Man, how it'd be unlocked and its unlockable role. (in Big Top Brawl or summoned by an ally contact for example) Note that these alts won't be able to have recolours of their own. If your pick resembles an alt already added we will allow a new alt in its place.

3D rendered and fully articulated 8-bit sprites! These alts would also be the inspiration for the fighters' stock icon, usually taken from Mario Maker, though they'd mostly have limited 3-to-6-colour palettes unlike Mystery Mushrooms

These are unlocked character-by-character with either defeating 6 opponents in Cruel Smash, defeating 50 opponents in 3-Minute Smash, surviving 100-Man Smash, defeating 10 man Smash within a minute, or surviving 15 minute Smash

Additionally, moveset changes have closed, with all being approved!
Peach's forward tilt is changed - instead of a revealing kick, she raises her hand upwards and above her, creating a magic trail

Peach's back air is changed, she blows a kiss backwards instead of a butt bash. Has the same heart effect.
Luigi's has a new down smash, making use of the Burst from Luigi's Mansion 3. When used, a burst of wind comes out of the Poltergust's bottom, launching opponents away.

Bowser has a new forward smash which mimics his punching animation from Bowser's Inside Story.

Submit Final Smashes for Daisy, Piranha Plant, and King K. Rool!

Let's finish off the veteran Final Smashes! Please submit Final Smashes for Daisy, Piranha Plant, and/or King K. Rool! Blast-O-Matic and Petey Piranha will be options by default, but Daisy Blossom will not due to Daisy's revamp.

Daisy Final Smash: Crystal Smash

When activated, Daisy turns teal-black as she rockets forward, trapping the first opponent she hits in a cinematic via uppercut. From there, the cinematic has the opponent launced into the air, with Daisy rising behind them to deliever a brutal kick, dealing massive damage before sending the opponent crashing back onto the stage.

Piranha Plant Final Smash: Naval Piranha

While Petey's definitely a good Final Smash, this one makes it much easier for Piranha Plant to catch its prey.

Upon starting the Final Smash, the bottom blast zone becomes covered in spiky weeds which can ensnare anybody who falls into them (although they can break out and be launched a fixed distance upwards). More importantly, though, the Naval Piranha itself rises out of the vines and appears in the background of the stage as Nipper Plants begin to infest the area, biting at opponents who approach it. The Naval Piranha itself will also move around, although its bites deal much more damage. Once the Final Smash ends, the Naval Piranha and Nipper Plants vanish, while the bottom blast zone's vines drag anybody still caught in them to an untimely KO.

Daisy Final Smash:

We are going to beat you to death
(Art by JoeAdok on DeviantArt)
Sarasaland Strike Force
Daisy calls upon the four leaders of the Sarasalandian Kingdoms, AKA the bosses from Super Mario Land. Each one patrols a different part of the stage for a time. King Totomesu (the lion) stands on the right side of the stage and attacks by breathing fireballs. Dragonzamasu (the seahorse) sticks to the background as his guardian Tamao (a ball of energy) circles around the center of the screen to damage characters. Hiyoihoi (the rock) stands on the left and throws Ganchans (boulders) that bounce around the stage. And finally, Biokinton (the human-looking dude) hides on the top of the screen in his cloud disguise shooting Chickens that home in on opponents (
1648665949456.png
). Each boss takes turns attacking, but they have no set pattern.

Nerds like me may notice that this picture seems to have a completely original design for Biokinton, but this design will not be seen in-game, as it is non-canon. I personally like this design for him though and actually headcanon it. It makes sense, as in Super Mario Land, every boss except for Biokinton (and Tatanga of course) resembles a regular enemy from the world they appear in... and this art depicts Biokinton as actually resembling a Pionpi (
1648666119172.png
) which is an enemy that only appears in the world Biokinton is the boss of.

Multi-Man Costume: Sinister Skeleton Squad

All characters get turned into skeletons of themselves, with one defining trait of them left intact (usually a hat or something of that nature).
Unlocked by either clearing a character's Adventure mode route on the hardest difficulty/intensity with no continues and default stock count, or by obtaining 99 KO's with that character (offline and online play combined).

Blast-O-Matic Boom

The Blast-O-Matic is back to charge it's most powerful boom yet - however this time, instead of DK Island it aims for the stage itself! The laser points downwards while parts of the Kremling head (as well as a hamster-wheel-bound Krusha) fly off for a less powerful attack covering the top. Once it's done the Blast-O-Matic disappears in a purple flash of darkness, creating fire in the background (but not the foreground) a la Mario Finale and a dark, stormy sky (or red sky if it'd already a stormy or space stage). If there are destructable elements (like Brick Blocks or Luigi's Mansion) they will be destroyed fully by the flash, and on certain stages major background elements will be gone (for example, the Super Happy Tree on Super Happy Tree, moon on Rainbow Road, or Windmill on Woolly World) - a lens flare will appear after a few seconds to restore the stage's usual appearance

Multi-Man Costume: Cosmic Clones

Cosmic Clones are entites who originate from Super Mario Galaxy 2, with their purpose being to mimic Mario's movements to urge the plumber to avoid them.

In SMSB, the Cosmic Clones take the form of shadowy masses resembling the fighter they're based on (although they won't be all red/purple like the source material; A Cosmic Clone taking Mario's form would be red, Luigi would be green, etc.) The unlock criteria would involve completing 100-Man Smash with the character who the player is trying to unlock the Cosmic Clone for.

Dry Mario. Nice.

Daisy Final Smash: Sky Pop Shot

SML_Daisy_Screenshot.png

At the end of Super Mario Land (spoilers I guess), Daisy and Mario fly off in this Sky Pop machine. Sometimes known erroniously as the Sky Pop II in Japanese media, it's a two seater aircraft.

Anyway, the newer, tougher, more action orientated Daisy doesn't need no Mario to pilot the ship.
Instead she leaps into it, piloting it herself. The ammunition has been replaced with a barrage of footballs this time round, allowing her to rapid fire her football shots at hapless opponents. Finally, Daisy ejects herself out of the seat, as the Sky Pop smashes down into the opponent in an explosion. Daisy then lands in a similar fashion to her home entrance in Strikers Charged, all whilst not looking at the cool ass explosion behind her.

There are already 3 characters with skeleton alts - but I do have an idea for how their skeleton alts would be handled should this win. (The regular version of the skeleton alt appearing in the team, but the unlockable skin being a skeleton coloured like their fleshy self)

Submit a new multiplayer mode that isn't based on the regular battles!

Please submit a new multiplayer mode that doesn't function like a regular battle or use the existing battle stages, much like Smash Run beforehand. Reusing elements from Big Top Brawl or Adventure Mode is allowed.

Submission: Smash Race

For this mode you race with 8 players from the start to end of an Adventure Mode stage, selectable like a regular stage would be (though the music isn't selectable but rather a universal original music track). The characters in play have equalised ground and air speed stats, but can collect speed energy as power ups by collecting them like you would coins in a normal Mario game. Most speed-increasing and some projectile items appear too.

As we already have him in Christmas Village, there's a rare chance of Sonic appearing as the flag man for a very special cameo!

Submit a form of stage customisation!
Previously we did a job for character customisation that got us Character Colours, the gloriously uncanny Mii Heads, and the gloriously overpowered custom stats - as such, we are now going to do a job for customising the existing stages, cosmetically or functionally! Please submit a way for players to customise their favourite stages, we will add the top 2 most popular from a vote.

This is not stage builder nor does it involve making new stages, we may do a job for that later however.

Mii Spectators

On the ruleset you can set on or off Mii spectators from your system data - primarily they'll cheer you on from the sidelines, but certain cameo characters, background elements, hazards, and even platforms have a likely but not necessarily gauranteed chance to have a Mii mug!

Weather/Time Changes
Simply put, this allows you to change up the weather and time that a stage takes place in. Do you want a steady rain pouring on Peach's Castle? How about a summer night on Isle Delfino? Well, with these options, you can have that! Some weather, such as wind or fog, could even have an impact on how the stage plays!

Indoor stages such as Bowser's Castle would experience color changes due to their lack of a sky to indicate weather/time.

I just want to say that picking the Multi-Man cast was very difficult. I really liked every option...

Anyways, my suggestion for Stage customization will be The Moon.
1648788872919.png

Inspired by Super Mario Maker 2, adding the Moon to a stage automatically switches it to night. The Moon's presence causes various alternate hazards to be added to the stage! You may end up in pitch darkness, with only small lights illuminating around the fighters. The screen may be flipped upside down. Strong winds may blow on occasion to mess with movement and DI. If the stage has water you can swim in, it may be turned to poison. Or the gravity may be lower! Who knows what you'll get! It is possible to play nighttime stages without the Moon making weird effects. If the stage is nighttime by default, only this default version can have the Moon added in.
