Daisy has been revealed for Battle League, just in the nick of time - how should we handle the Battle League alt? Is there a specific alt you all want replaced, or should we get an extra 7? Should it be made her default?

I personally am pro-default, and if an alt has to be removed it'd probably be either the Christmas outfit (too situational, as cute as it is) or the winter olympics skiing outfit (kinda ugly tbh lmao, dunno what I was thinking putting that on my alt list) though I feel an extra 7 alts, maybe another Tour outfit; 3 Battle League recolours; and classic midrif bearing equivalents would work too.

Kongo Falls: Yeah, I think this stage could do with a DKC3 makeover.

Daisy: I think we could do with an extra eight alts. As for whether her Battle League alt should be her default, I personally like the Strikers Charged look more, so I'd like that to remain the default. I don't care too much in that area, though.

Unlock Criteria:

• Mushroom Underwater: Spend a total of two minutes submerged in water. This carries over between battles and fighters.
• Mushroom Bowser: While playing as Bowser on Bowser's Castle, KO any opponent with the lava being the final hit.
• Pipe Maze: Get two KOs on Wrong Warp during the inital pipe section.
• Meta Crystal: Win a match as all Smash veterans (Mario, Luigi, Peach, Bowser, Dr. Mario, Rosalina, Junior, Daisy, Piranha Plant, Donkey Kong, Diddy Kong, King K. Rool, Yoshi, and Wario).
• Koopa Warehouse: Use 200 items.
• Mundane Mansion: Clear all of Luigi's events.
• Wuhu Island: Play a match with all fighters using Mii Heads.

Best image I could find of the Battle League outfit compared to the Strikers Charged outfit. Personally, I really like the light medieval armor that Battle League has, as well as a much cooler shade of orange. However, the Charged drip has some light crystal theming which, if I remember correctly, we partly based her moveset around (though I could be mixing this up with her Infinite moveset).

I honestly would be down for just adding another 7 alongside her Battle League one, there's so much potential with Daisy alts that we haven't touched honestly. It would be pretty cool if the game came out and she ended up being the most stylish character on the roster. But I say this also because I would love to have a traditional medieval outfit based on her Battle League alt.

If we have to stick to 8, I say either replace her Farmer alt with her Battle League one, or just keep the OG Strikers Charged alt (which would be a real shame personally since I love her whole medieval aesthetic seen above, but it is what it is).

Ok apologies for the double post but I just now watched the trailer in its entirety (only watched up until shy guy previously) and yeah I didn't realize that the Knight gear was for everyone and not exclusive to Daisy, my bad. Yeah it makes sense now why we wouldn't use that lol

Its side special is Jumpscare Lunge - it jumps and quickly lunges forwards with the deafening sound of an MP3 to Midi scream, giving it super armour, it can press the button again to bite, but that stops its movement. This serves as Mad Piano's primary mobility option

EDIT: I have changed the unlock criteria for Star Festival to be a little less extreme, this would mean it's no longer the final stage, but it'd still have an element of finality. Also makes it easier to unlock as a competitive stage.

I honestly really like how we're doing stage unlocks, it seems like it would be a lot of fun because you could maybe unlock 1 or 2 at a time by complete accident and, without knowing any of the guidelines, have all stages within a month of the game's release...or if you do know the unlock methods, you can set up a match where you could get maybe 7 or 8 stages at once, and just keep setting up group unlocks like that until you've got everything maybe even within a few days. I'm also seeing a possible future where YouTubers try to unlock all stages by only using the unlock methods of "play another 15 matches, unlock x character, play on every other stage"

That was an error, but honestly I kinda want to keep it - I think it fits for a fan favourite like Plant, especially given one of these stages is the successor to another Smash fan favourite.

2. The piano jumps into a pile of books, eating them. (its gotta get them from somewhere)
3. Luigi sits on a stool in front of the piano and attempts to play, but the piano opens its mouth and scares him off
4. The camera starts out on the legs of the piano before panning out to show the full body of the piano. (Which is also playing the victory theme) After the fighter text comes on the screen, a cheering crowd can be heard and roses fly in from off-screen.

Clapping animations

• Jimmy T: Claps along to the beat of the post-victory theme tune
• Imajin: Holds up a shy guy who claps for him (Lina uses a Snifit, Mama uses a Beezo, and Papa uses a Ninji)
• Warupichi and Warudaisi: Both are badly bruised and covered in a comical amount of bandages - since Warupichi can't use her left arm, and Warudaisi can't use her right arm, they begrudginly clap in a cooperative fashion
• Rabbid Peach: Claps halfheartedly while blowing bubblegum and looking condescendingly over her shoulder at whoever would be in the place below hers (even if it was a 1v1)
• Peach: A somber raincloud has appeared over her head, but she shields herselfwith her parasol and claps sadly but politely
• Yoshi: The utterly defeated losing animation from Mario Tennis Aces.
• Dr. Mario: Scribbling something down on a clipboard
• Donkey Kong: Clapping occasionally as he plays the bongos while sitting down
• Funky Kong: Same as DK, but playing bongos/clapping with his feet rather than his hands.
• Undodog and Yamamura: Just standing there as you would expect a normal, non-sentient bird-and-dog duo to do
• Prince Peasly: Is facing away from the camera, checking himself in the mirror. He does not clap, but his reflection does.
• Mama & Tuxie: Tuxie crosses his arms and looks away from the camera, while Mama claps for the victor and honks at her child for being unsportsmanlike
• Captain Toad: You can only see his mushroom head peeking out of the box, so we can do nothing but assume he is clapping.
• Captain Syrup: Checks to make sure no one is looking, then steals the 1st icon from the victory screen, jumps out of her box and runs away frantically along the bottom of the screen.
• Madame Broode: Is knocked out from the fight. Chompikins nudges her like a dog trying to wake up its owner.
• Timber: Plays a presumably somber tune on the harmonica. (The other DKR characters use their respective instruments from their themes)

4. Mad Piano - Play at least one match with every song available on any given stage

• Rabbid Peach: Simply folds her arms with an unamused look on her face.
• Prince Peasley: Peasley folds his arms in shame, albeit out of shame rather than anger.
• Captain Syrup: Sits on her pod from her entrance animation, obviously upset about the loss.
• Jimmy T.: Claps regularly, but stops every so often to do a random pose to the winner.

C'mon. It's Sonic the Freaking Hedgehog. His rivaliry with Mario was one of the defining parts of the 90s video game industry. The two have a crossover series. This would be a huge moment.

Another super popular Nintendo character. Link has cameo’d a few times in a few Mario games and there has been a few Zelda references too. There has even been theories of the Mario and Zelda universes being connected. Throw in the fact during the Super Mario Bros Super Show showed previews to the bad Legend of Zelda cartoon. Overall, the best pick here.

Seems pretty obvious to put in a Pokémon, right? Well, how about 3? We could go crazy with their alts. Seems like a better way to represent the series that is so commonly subbed from Mario-led crossovers than the yellow rat.

Pac-Man

Pac-Man is a main protagonist of self-titled series Pac-Man made by Namco in 1980's and he is a yellow anthropomorphic "pac-creature" eats ghosts and travels through random worlds in Pacman world games.

He is an obvious choice for the game, because he appeared in mario-related crossovers like Mario Kart Arcade GP. He would retain his original moveset, but he would have also some reworks.
